1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: LTCgear.com, the best scrypt/scrypt n/X11 cloud mining service, Not paying!!! on: May 27, 2015, 10:11:05 AM
Does this guys think we're all mugs or something?

I have 4000 qAsics and he wants me to pay 6.8 BTC so I can start receiving payouts!  He owes me probably double that!

All he is doing is positioning himself so he can write off everyone's shares because they won't pay the "maintenance" fee.

How about, I don't want to re-activate my hosted service, but I do want paying what is owed to me!!!

Anyone have shipping updates with their order #'s?

Mine is 198** and still showing nothing but paid.

Don't you just love dealing with these Douche Nozzles?

My order number was 199xx and I paid immediately.  I received my Titan on 7th Oct.

Getting some good speeds from wemineltc and Litegaurdian. Not so good from Litecoinpool, (250-270) but their payout is higher thsn Liteguardian as LG aren't doing merged mining as far as I can make out.  Not done a long enough run on wemintltc to judge just yet.

Ordered on the 28th, not a bean since. No response to any emails.

Right hacked off right now.

Just to let you know guys, I received an order update email this morning with my tracking number, my order was shipped on the 3rd (order placed on the 28th) and it is out for delivery today.  I just wish the order was updated last week as it would have prevented all this worry about being ripped off and this negative feedback.

Was the email from Simon himself? As I have not received a single thing from Simon since 27th of June.

Order placed and paid on the 17th of June via International Bank Transfer. Bank has confirmed transaction on the 23rd of June.

However Simon confirmed payment on the 27th of June which took him quite a while.

Sent emails almost daily to Simon since 27th of June. None of them was replied, both support@hashra.com & info@hashra.com did not reply any of my emails. My order was a  Lunar Lander warp #10.

Not a first time buyer, was one of the few who preordered when this product was launched, and this is the kind of treatment I get in return for helping Hashra making his miners a reality.  Angry

No it wasn't a personal reply, I didn't receive a personal reply to any of my emails, although all I asked for was an update on the status of my order. It was the automated message you get when your order gets updated.  It got updated to Shipped, I checked the tracking number at FedEx and remarkably it was out of delivery today.  I've received it now and it's all in good order.  I paid in BTC, so perhaps that's why mine went through quicker?

I'm sure you will get yours and I know how frustrating it is just not knowing anything.  My take on things is that if you keep good honest communication with your clients, then most people can deal with delays/mishaps or whatever you want to call them.  No communication is almost as bad as someone feeding you BS, especially in this industry where distrust is high because of all the scams.  No surprisingly, I think we all fall in to the "I've been scammed" train of thought very quickly so keeping good comms with your clients is vital to prevent that.

I can only imagine that Simon is either struggling with the admin side of things under heavy demand for his product or he's being shafted by his manufacturer in terms of manufacturing and/or delivery times.

I really hope you get yours soon mate.

Beanhead.

Over a week now since I placed my order and still no communication.

Think I'm going to make a complaint to their payment processor, hopefully they'll put their account on hold.  At least then they can't take any more money from consumers.

Has anyone heard anything from Hashra or had a delivery recently?

I have not gotten any replies from Hashra/Simon yet, since 27/6/2014. However I have spoken to a few buyers who complained in this thread earlier https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=659732.20

Most of them got their units. Still, I need a reply from Simon regarding my order.

Thanks for the link to the other thread. Wish I'd seen that before I ordered. But as my first order went OK I'd let my guard down. Thoroughly disappointed.

I got a spam email just now, I have never actually ordered from minereu, so not the courier company to blame. Minereu have been hacked or they trying to scam.

I really really hate to jump to conclusions, but anyone reading this who is thinking of ordering, I would advise to wait until we get news about our orders.

If they have skipped with our bitcoins, I would rather than no one else get their bitcoins stolen.

I'm sure there is a reasonable explanation, but I am a paranoid person at heart so I would advise caution currently.

Sorry Simon.

Has anyone heard from Simon this last week?

I ordered my second LL on the 28th, the order is still saying awaiting fulfillment even though the website says "in stock". I've had no reply to a couple of emails I've sent asking for an eta.

Getting slightly miffed now at the lack of reply and contemplating asking for a refund.
13  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: HASHRA - LUNAR SERIES - ASIC SCRYPT MINERS on: June 26, 2014, 12:46:03 PM
Just to let you guys I'm still fiddling with it but so far the Raspberry Pi software needs more work. I can't get the LL to connect to anything through it but if I just connect the LL directly to my PC ( although I'm using a hub for it ) with the USB cable, like you would a jalapeno, it works just fine. So far it's chugging along without any problems and aside from the firmware not working everything is in order and of good quality. I am using the CGminer version that is available at the Hashra site and I've been solo mining to test it out but will go to a pool next in a few hours. I also appreciate the manufacturer doing "the paperclip thing" in advance with the power switch but make sure the factory people press it in all the way. It kept powering down on me until I realized that it was not pressed in all the way in.

The error with the firmware has to do with the "socket can't connect" issue I have seen online already. I also get different messages like the pool had no credentials and the GUI will hang indefinitely until I close and reopened the browser every time I save, restart, or reboot. Plus, it seems to hate Firefox. I could only get it to load once with it and the rest of the time I had to use IE to access the dashboard. So unless it's user error it needs fixing but I spent quite a few hours trying to get it to work. But in the end, so long as it hashes I could always use a third party dashboard in the meantime.

What are you using to power your Pi?  Quite often lack of power to the Pi can give weird results.  When I used the cable that came with it, the NIC would not power up.  Just grab a micro usb phone charger that outputs at least 1A (1000mA) and that will be sufficient.  Don't be concerned if the charger output's greater than 1A as the Pi will only draw what it needs.  Voltage on the other hand is a different matter, micro USB phone chargers output 5v, just make sure if you decide to use any other power source that it is only 5v, and that the 5v is steady.

Also which miner do you have?  As it appears from the support page that there is different firmware for the Lunar Lander and Lunar Launcher, so it's worth double checking that you are running the correct version by downloading the correct one from the support website and flashing it to a new SD card.  Think you only need a 4Gb card, but I generally use 8gb ones with my Pi's.
14  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: MinerEU.com A2BOX 10200 USD on: June 23, 2014, 06:43:29 PM
My A2's won't take 100 days to ROI, but even if they do, it'll all be profit after that.

I've got a 24V Meanwell running one of my constant current LED circuits at home, been rock solid for the three years it's been running. Have to see if I can get hold of one

I'd love to know what you're mining and your calculations.
15  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: MinerEU.com A2BOX 10200 USD on: June 23, 2014, 06:41:37 PM
I must admit I only heard of GAW a few days before their 500MH/s miner announcement. I can't vouch for them in any way. KNC are pretty trusted, which is why I made the order with them.

Just disappointed with their tactics. I don't think a month is enough for the drop in price and increase in MH to allow their early adopters to ROI, apparently the increase in MH is purely firmware, so I'm hoping they will release batch 1 at 400MH and give those that pre-ordered and gave them the money to fab the chips a chance to ROI. Wishful thinking me thinks.

Probably the first and very last time I will pre-order if I'm honest.
16  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: MinerEU.com A2BOX 10200 USD on: June 23, 2014, 06:21:01 PM
Capacitors have the score marks in the top for a reason, to allow them to blow when shit goes wrong.

Cheap components, cheap capacitors will mean the stress that those components can take is less. That's why your psu is fubar.

Buy a new one and get a decent one.

BTW A2 will take 100 days at 0.002 btc per MH per day to ROI, calculated at an average of 88MH/s. That's not including power costs. These units will never ROI at 10k each if you buy one now. GAW and KNC will have their bad boy units out at the end of September I reckon, even they will struggle to ROI because of all the 80-90MH units being bought currently.

But don't listen to me, I'm just a cynical bastard after pre-ordering a KNC titan and paying 12k after Vat and now KNC have dropped batch 2 by 3k! And will be shipping those just 1month after batch 1, and let's not mention that batch 1 is 250-300MH and batch 2 is 400MH with no hardware change apparently!

Only one winner in mining hardware these days, the hardware manufacturers....
17  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 750 GH/s - 3TH/s Miners from $3565 - www.bitcoinultra.co.uk on: March 11, 2014, 10:26:41 PM
The maths just doesn't add up, the ROI on this unit is just not worth it.

Why not just buy 5 ANT Miners?

5 x 180GH/s = 900GH/s  - That's without over clocking.

That will set you back just under 5BTC (They are 0.99BTC each including shipping)  or at current exchange rates on coindesk $3155 or £1900.

They are shipping now, so no wait for your vapourware!

Ok, I know the ANT Miners will be burning more leccy, but if that isn't an issue I know where I would spend my money.

Investing in Bitcoin mining hardware that

a) You might never receive
or
b) When you do get it the diff has gone up to further increase the time to ROI

Is a mugs game.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BETARIGS.COM - Cryptocurrency cloud mining - We need more keccak rigs! on: February 14, 2014, 04:07:03 PM
Anyone else having a problem with leasing a rig?  My rig should have switched over by now but I keep seeing 'JSON stratum auth failed").

I have the same problem with one of my rigs.  Someone rented it last night, and I'm getting the same message in Cgminer.  I have messaged the person renting it to double check the username/password that they have set for the pool, I have also logged a ticket with Betarigs.  No response from either yet.

Started mining on this pool and my discard rate percentage is crazy.

Getworks   Accepted   Rejected   Hardware Errors   Utility   Discarded
337           39           9           0                   1.765           669

scan time = 28
expiry = 7
queue = 1

even at queue 0 it was this bad.. tried 30/30 on scan and expiry and no diff..

is this normal for the pool ?

Scan time  and Expiry shouldn't really have any effect on a Stratum pool.  But I wouldn't set my Expiry that low in any case.  Put them back to default Scan = 30, Expiry = 120 and see what happens.

You really only need to play with these setting if your solo mining or using a Getwork pool, so you would have a low scan time to detect new blocks.  But Stratum pools will tell you when there is a new block, so it's not necessary.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: February 12, 2014, 07:43:51 AM
I am not sure why people are so obsessed with vardiff.  Changing the difficulty of submitted shares does nothing to find blocks faster or slower.  I was fine at middlecoin with diffs of 1024.  The pool doesn't get paid by shares, it gets paid by blocks.  I just like the website here better.

Because we have one crappy card, and 516 is too hard for shares.

What is your gpu? I got r9 290 with 883 kh/s mining in middlecoin. I mined yesterday in middlecoin for 24 hrs now and my Total BTC in a day is 0.12. I will switch to this pool after it is stable.

Surely you mean 0.012 BTC in 24 hours with that hashrate?   0.12 is just not possible!
