1  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ▁ ▂ ▄ ▅ ▆ Cloudmining 101 (ponzi risk assessment) ▆ ▅ ▄ ▂ ▁ on: May 06, 2015, 03:27:24 PM
I bought 100GH/s from both CloudMinr & Bitcoin Cloud Services (before coming onto this forum to see what people thought of cloud mining).

Both have been paying out on the schedule and approximate amount that they claim so far (I know that does not mean anything with regard to being Ponzi or not, but at least they are not just 100% scam, i.e. take your money and dont pay at all).

From reading almost this entire thread, it sounds like there are people that do not understand what a Ponzi scheme is, read the first post carefully people, it explains it well, especially in regard to cloud mining.

Can anyone tell me how long those two cloud mining companies have been going for?   As obviously, if it is a Ponzi that I have accidently got myself involved with, the earlier the better...

Did anyone get their mobile wallet BTC stolen?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CSC] CasinoCoin - The Premiere Coin for Online Casino Gaming | On Cryptsy! on: August 02, 2013, 08:07:29 AM
I also just noticed the profitability & stability of this coin.  Looks good.  I also like the name.  Lots of Crypto-Currencies have stupid names or names that sound like they are trying to hard to make it sound legit.  CasinoCoin is a solid name, I am going to switch some of my miners over to it tonight!
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GUIMiner-scrypt: A GUIMiner fork for mining scrypt chains on: August 01, 2013, 09:23:33 AM
Can you mine any Scrypt virtual currency with this miner?

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Namecoin wallet? on: July 29, 2013, 09:25:30 AM
I am mining in Slush's pool, and read that I can get "free" Namecoins if I can provide an address.
After doing some Googling, there are posts recommending registering an account on Crypto X Change, but the site has been closed down long ago.
The default Namecoin client doesn't seem to be very user friendly.
Can anyone advice me on the best way to get started with Namecoin?

From what I've read on his site there aren't many being made anymore and he is phasing them out. I think he said only 7% of the pool is still working in a way that generates namecoins.

Are you talking about BitMinter?

8  Economy / Economics / Re: Any idea of why the -20% of today ? on: June 09, 2013, 12:32:49 PM
Bitcoins are still a volatile currency, this is not the largest swing in the price history of BTC.

13  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: buybitcoinaustralia.com.au on: May 31, 2013, 02:32:31 AM
Thanks Santostfm,

I would also like to thank everyone who has used our site, especially people who have provided feedback.

We have had an overwhelming level of support from the bitcoin community.  Everyone has been extremely positive towards our service.

Many of the e-mails and posts we have received from the community would make very worthy testimonials.  However, we do not post "testimonials" on our website, because so many websites just make them up, reducing the credibility of testimonials in general.

Regardless, we would like to express our gratitude, and we look forward to maintaining and improving this service that we are already so proud of.

Emm.
14  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Bitcoins Now - Selling Bitcoins in Australia OFFICIAL THREAD - Support on: May 23, 2013, 12:12:49 PM
There certainly is a  lack of legal precedents regarding Bitcoin (BTC).  So until it is legislated against, I don't see a problem with selling BTC.

We are planning to allow our customers to sell BTC to us soon.  I'll let you guys know what our legal team decides.
15  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Australian exchange advice on: May 23, 2013, 10:26:13 AM
Just to update the information provided by SamuraiHP above, BuyBitcoinAustralia.com.au now only charges 7.5% fee!  That is the cheapest in Australia.

Customers so far have been extremely satisfied with how fast they receive their bitcoins.  After each purchase is complete, we provide a link to the block-chain so you can see the transfer of the bitcoins.  Shortly after, they will be in your chosen wallet.

We also now accept cash deposits and in-person meetings for Australian's in Melbourne and Perth.  However, we recommend our instant service for optimum convenience and speed.

Cheers,
Emm
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitoin hits the big time ! on: May 23, 2013, 10:08:50 AM
Thanks man, that certainly is an interesting article.

We are trying our best to bridge that gap by being genuine enthusiasts, but also providing a formalized service.  Its hard at times because no matter how hard you try to do the right thing for the bitcoin community, there are always some people that will rip all over your efforts...  fortunately there are many more who really appreciate it.

Quality info in this thread guys, we primarily use Mt Gox, but after reading all this, I am inspired to try some of the others.
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Searching this Forum - doesn't seem to work on: May 22, 2013, 06:38:58 PM
Hey Guys,

I have been getting no love with searching this forum,  it always tells me there are no results, even for things that I KNOW there are...

Anyone having the same problem?  or able to tell me what I am doing wrong?

Cheers
