1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚒[CGA] Cryptographic Anomaly - The Elusive Coin⚒ on: May 11, 2014, 02:58:08 PM
https://cga.thedigitalmint.net has the following message:

Mining is currently suspended while security and server investigations are undertaken.
Although no breach of security was achieved, we must fully investigate any attempt to gain balances by submitting potentially false data.
To prevent balances being unfairly distributed to dishonest users (potential theft from honest miners)
the pool's stratum services will remain closed for the time being.

Does anyone know what happened?

I'm getting the fork warning right now. Am I supposed to be running the

 * [new branch]      1.3.4.1_Hard_Fork -> origin/1.3.4.1_Hard_Fork

branch?

I have this payout of  0.53220505 from the digital mint pool http://cga.thedigitalmint.org/index.php?transaction=c6ef09821c88e7a0f82e9d186dd8b7cf2a24f77dc7dda8aa8b1dafc722b01fea that I never received at my deposit address at poloniex. (I'm only depositing directly to poloniex directly because of the forking and the fact that I'm unable to keep my wallet on the correct chain).

Was/is the digital mint on the wrong chain?

I updated yesterday, deposited to Poloniex last night to verify I was on the right chain. I woke up this morning and my client was on a fork.

So, I did a pull from git and tried to redownload the blockchain but I can't get any connections in my client. Is there an addnode list that is accurate as of this morning?

Maybe my ip was banned by the network for being on last night's chain?

The "Last Blocks" tab of P2Pool is not representative of the actual blockchain, it is a log of all blocks received by P2Pool nodes, including those from a fork. so it's kinda useless to look there for right now Tongue

Thanks, I didn't know that. BTW http://cga.inceptioncraft.net/p2pool/ doesn't list what port to connect to and http://cga.thedigitalmint.com/ looks down http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/http://cga.thedigitalmint.com/

when I run

$ cryptographicanomalyd getblockhash 69626
ced06368f3bc99fd9e630bf5643741ec5414cf6812f454fb2f45ed5396c98208

but my client is on block 69698 while the block list from http://cga.inceptioncraft.net/p2pool/ lists blocks through 70153

So I would just warn other miners that simply checking the hash of that block is not enough to ensure you're on the right chain.

For the last 2 hours I got only 2 payout on http://anomalypool.com/static/ 2-3 block in a moment pass
Again fork? Until the evening payments came okay
The last block wallet 69,460 (already 64)
An hour ago did re synchronization wallet

I just resynched too. My client and the block explorer are at block 69476, that p2pool is at 69909

I have the same problem.

Thanks for getting this pool up.

Others trying to use the pool might like to know that I needed to enable third party cookies to get logged in.
10  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Coinotron Payouts on: June 11, 2013, 04:24:41 AM
Coinotron hasn't solved a BTC block in about 5 days, they're more of an alt coin pool. I'd mine BTC at BTCGuild or one of the other big pools to start.

I think this podcast is a good introduction to Bitcoin:

Gavin Andresen mentioned this podcast during the 2013 Bitcoin state of the union:

Thanks all for the help!
14  Other / Beginners & Help / 7950 differences on: May 22, 2013, 07:28:13 PM
There are (I think) 4 Sapphire 7950's. What are the differences between all of these model numbers?

21196-00-20G
11196-16-20G
11196-09-40G
11196-10-40G

Is it just the fans or are there other things to consider? Which do people usually use for mining?
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Twitter Bot for bitcointalk? on: May 17, 2013, 04:40:40 PM
Is there a bot for bitcointalk that posts threads over a certain interest level to twitter? I thought I remember something like this from a while back but can't seem to find it.
