Hello, I am new member here and I am new to Bitcoins aswell. Dont know much about all that and I have tons of questions.

So for my first 2 questions I would like to ask:
1. What are the mining computers calculating/solving?
2. What is the difficulty? I saw that a couple of times, and how does it affect mining?

That would be all for my first post, thanks.
