1  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Lost Bitcoin Transaction History after zapwallettxes help! on: January 02, 2018, 05:41:59 AM
So is your wallet empty? if there's no sending and transaction history, then how can the wallet know how many BTC does it have?

What is the size of your wallet.dat? has it decreased? hopefully you can compare with a recent backup..

Hello,

I have an unconfirmed transaction with very low fee and i thought of double spending that transaction, i have executed -zapwallettxes instead of zapwallettxes=2. After this command i have lost all the send and receive transaction history assigned to my accounts. I have tried rescan and reindexing, still nothing in my account transactions.

Can anyone help me to recover the lost transaction history?
Rename your wallet.dat and restore a previous one from backups?

This is not a solution... a lot of people don't do backups often, specially now thanks to HD wallets not forcing you to make backups more often. He probably doesn't have a backup that has the private keys for the recent addresses.

If there's a bug with -zapwallettxes we must find out what happened here exactly because it's pretty scary to think the next time you use that command (which I use when I get a stuck transaction) I would lose my wallet's history.

unfortunately, I did not taken a backup there are only internal transactions in my wallet.dat now. Even the transaction hashes added to wallet but the info like account in send from is missing .. say "john" it is showing "". And some odd transactions like i didn't  received with my account "mickeal" but two transactions are showing.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Lost Bitcoin Transaction History after zapwallettxes help! on: January 02, 2018, 05:35:51 AM
i have tried rescanning it 3 to 4 times , i have got the transactions back , but they are not assigned to my accounts , i have lost data in accounts

ex: i used send from from one of my account A , and now account A is not showing the transaction , if i check for gettransaction it is showing transaction is not assigned to any account
for easier to understand, can you tell us your address A? so we can check on explorer
it could be that you're using unspent of unconfirmed tx in your recent tx
and then when you zap, you removed both txs from your local mempool

Quote
if i check for gettransaction it is showing transaction is not assigned to any account
I don't get this part. can you just tell us the actual txid and/or what exactly you mean by that
when you said account, do you mean address?

like i sent a transaction from my account namely "melting" and check the gettransaction after zap i used to get "" in account. instead of "melting".
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Lost Bitcoin Transaction History after zapwallettxes help! on: January 01, 2018, 10:36:05 AM
Can you try the following on next startup:

Code:
-rescan

Add that to your startup parameter for Bitcoin core. This should bring back all those transactions which have already been broadcasted and confirmed on the blockchain.

Basically zapwallettxes will only remove those transactions that have not been included the blockchain.

i have tried rescanning it 3 to 4 times , i have got the transactions back , but they are not assigned to my accounts , i have lost data in accounts

ex: i used send from from one of my account A , and now account A is not showing the transaction , if i check for gettransaction it is showing transaction is not assigned to any account

6  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Only Exclusive Items on: October 27, 2017, 05:16:11 AM
Does anyone know of retailers which sell goods/services for crypto only with no option of payment made in fiat?

Could this represent a good business model for a small store with an online only presence?

There must be some holding alts who are fustrated by the lack of options in terms items they can spend their coins on. While there are many options for bitcoin, for the most part alts are neglected and there isn't a huge market where they can be utilized without first having to convert to btc.

Could support for ripple, eth, bcc, doge, ltc, dash and other alts be a good foundation upon which to build a small business?

 Huh

bitcoin is online digital money. it can never seen us. but it has great demand compare to paper currency. most of the people interested to use of bit coins. present generally more people buying bit coins for they needs. bit coin has great demand in the future. it is easy to earning so for that reason every one want to get bit coin. every day in the market buying and selling has been going. so most of the people try to buying it. who had bit coins they was really very rich people in the world.with the use of bit coin we have to buy and sell anything in the world.

Hi everyone!

I am a cryptocurrecy investor for more than two years already. Trading is my thing and I do constant fundamental and technical analysis on the cryptocurrencies I invest into. I do research on insights & events and I watch the prices as they move on a daily basis.  Currently, I am fascinated about profitable abitrage oppurtunities in the crypto trading industry, specifically in Korea and Japan.

On that note, I am looking for a partnership with a Korean and/or Japanese trader who resides in Korea or Japan respectively. I am looking for someone who is TRUSTWORTHY, HONEST and WILLING TO MAKE FRIENDS.

If you are interested and you want to know more details, please hit me a private message and let us make an agreement.

There is a huge market for sales and huge demand currently so it is really profitable for both parties.

Feel free to send me a message here on BCT or reply to this thread.

who want to become rich in short period of time like that people investing in both bit coin and eth coins. after investing they have to keep hold it few years or months then they getting more profit. compare to all coins bit coin and eth coin has great demand so most of the people investing on to this coins.
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How difficult is it to sell your position? on: October 26, 2017, 11:32:11 AM
HI guys,

I see a lot of us buying/investing in a lot of crypto currencies but my question is how to cash out of them? Is it as easy as buying them? Or are they limits?

Thanks

no they have more demand so it is some difficult to buy. and also it will depends on the local exchange how much they need and how much they want to pay. in every country crypto currency available so every one should using it. so day by day crypto currency getting in to high price. so try to maintain atleast one account in crypto currency.
9  Economy / Marketplace / Re: 1 Year in Cryptocurrency still no luck earning bitcoin. Need some real advice. on: October 26, 2017, 11:24:53 AM
Need some expert or real advice on how I can earn bitcoin. thanks

investing in bit coin is the best process. because most of the people investing in bit coin then bit coin price going to increase. in this situation we have to buy it and keep hold few years. and mining, mining is the best earning source. so you have to earn more profit from mining but mining is not easy to doing and investing. if you knows about gambling try once it. from gambling we have to earn more money. but it is  dangerous and risky. next investing money bit coin really good profitable this one.
10  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Investments in the media on: October 26, 2017, 11:17:11 AM
Do you think it's realistic to find investors-partners for the development of such a project? Alone, it is difficult to pull such a project financially, and for the accelerated implementation of all our plans I made decisions in search of investors.
I would like to hear your opinion: Is it worth it to invest in the media about crypto-currencies and the forum?

in the world present bit coin is decentralized. so we have to use any where in the world and invest in any field. if we have to need any goods stuff and staff what ever we need just we have to buy with this bit coin. and also invest bit coin in any field so present bit coin has great demand. you have to invest in media and in any other fields more profitable it is.

12  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How to start selling and buying goods on Marketplace? on: October 21, 2017, 02:05:44 PM

Hi, are there any links or previous created topics re buying/selling goods on market place?

Tnx.

you have to buy and sell any products using bit coin. now a days mostly using bit coins compare to currency. so you have to buy it with bit coins. in some online markets giving offers so you have to see carefully that sites and buy to products. first you have to try few things in online market next you have to buy all products. it is one of the good decision.once you have to search all web sites and decide to which one is best for buying and selling.

both are giving to big profits. generally more people doing alt coins trading but compare to alt coins bit coin and eth coins give to more profit. so you have to invest in to this bit coin and eth coin. then you have to earning more profit. in the trading market bit coin has great demand it may increase in the future some more and at the same time eth coin it can also raise next year. so you have to buy these both coins and keep hold it.
14  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Would this be a good idea? on: October 21, 2017, 01:51:31 PM
I have funds outside of Bitcoin, do you think a service where I buy for things that only accept real cash i.e https://g2a.com, amazon.com or anything else. And I receive Bitcoin?
Obviously escrow can be used, or people can pay upfront, whatever the case is.

Bottom line, is this a good idea?

yeah it is very good idea. if you have to try it once really good. because bit coin has demand in the trading so you can invest in to this. but you have to keep good offers because most of the web sites using like this ideas. so you have to think some more innovative. i think in this had few risks so be carefully you have to do this task. because hackers are hacking now all the sites so do it carefully.but once you enter in to this field just trust it once.and if you get some more good ideas on that just keep in this.
15  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Will accept Bitcoin as payment, in exchange for IT services, or managed trading on: October 21, 2017, 01:44:40 PM
Hello all - this is a bit of an experiment for me, being that Bitcoin is so new and all.  To attempt to contribute to the Bitcoin ecosystem, specifically to further the perception & acceptance that Bitcoin is 'money' - I have decided to offer some services for which I'll accept Bitcoin as the method of payment.

Specifically:

  • IT Services - a lot of you may be programmers or other uber-techies.... However  my offer of service is not for programming but for more basic things... troubleshooting some software issue, configuring your network [assuming at least your Internet connection works so I can remotely access], other consultations.. I can't do everything but we can try, and if you're satisfied, you pay me Bitcoin.  I will likely use some remote access software which you would control, in order for me to configure/troubleshoot whatever your problem is
  • Managed trading - I make my living trading on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, I specialize in derivatives trading.  Though I cannot guarantee any results, if anyone wants to diversify some of their money into something that can allow your money to grow, you could try with me if you'd like. If we can come to an agreement and you are satisfied, you could pay me with Bitcoin.

I'll add any other services I could provide as they come to my mind, but for now these are the two fields that a) I have professional experience in b) could probably be valuable to someone out there, and c) I can do remotely, in other words for anyone, anywhere in the world, thanks to the Internet.

If you are interested in either of these services I can provide, just contact me privately and we can discuss matters further.  If we can agree and make an exchange, great.  If not - at least you've made a new Bitcoin contact/buddy!  Smiley

yeah sure why not? now every one want to buy bit coin so who can leave this opportunity i'm not leave to this opportunity. in some country's they employees getting bit coins for they salary. now in the market bit coin has great demand but once up on a time it's price going to down and later it can be raised. but now bit coin had good market so you have to accept it.i think most of the people accepts bit coins only few persons did not accept to this.

you get good idea friend but once you are enter in to this field then you want to earn some more bit coins. bit coin trading and localbitcoin is very easy process to earn bit coins. but mining give to some more profit compare to trading/localbitcoin and investing. but in mining need more money and time and electricity. but if you have to effort on that just try it once. for earning profit is it one of the good way.
