1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BITCOINEREUM - NO ICO - NO PRE-MINE - NO BULLSH*T --- NOW ON THE NEWS! on: October 31, 2018, 07:57:16 PM
Si i keep getting either insufficient funds for gas*price+ value, or i get gas exceeds block limit i believe in synced up so what gives.

Can some one give out an example of a filled out config
Look ike gas price limit ect.

This can happen if your wallet is not fully synced, are you sure the wallet is synced?

Also to check the gas you should use, check the website https://ethgasstation.info/

The SafeLow is the minimum recommended gas in gwei

If you can't figure out what's the problem post here exactly what you are inserting in the console, as well as other relevant info like the balance of your address, what gwei you are using, etc.

The token is already added just need the correct exchanges info.

Honestly I dont know how to mine this coin, can someone assist me on this, cant understand what is in their website.

EDIT: I understand now already, but how do we know if every 10 mins peoplae already mine 50 coins?

You can check at any point in time the total amount of coins mined for every cycle of 10 minutes by checking the Smart Contract variable CurrentMined.

Access here to locate it:

https://etherscan.io/token/0x03df4c372a29376d2c8df33a1b5f001cd8d68b0e#readContract

You have to divide the value by 100000000 to get the real value, for example 5000000000 / 100000000 = 50.

Hi OP, love the concept! I have a clarification question. Will the minimum required gas for a successful call to Mine() increase as the number of calls to Mine() increase? If not, then will the minimum required gas be determined by the instantaneous largest gas limit set by the current competing Txs? Also, if two wallets invoke Mine() with the same gas limit at the same time, is it possible for both invocations to return true or will only one of them return true? Thank you for advising.

The minimum gas accepted depends on the ethereum network.

Some transactions are processed with as low as 0.1 GWEI of gas, but with the current gas market we recommend 1 GWEI to be safe.

You can check this website here where you can see the current "safe-low" for ethereum transactions: http://ethgasstation.info/

About your question with the two wallets, yes it is possible that both return true, there is no problem with that.

bitconereum is now traded in etherdelta  https://etherdelta.com/#BITCOINEREUM-ETH . too bad i only mine 90 pcs is there are much easier way to mine it ?

Careful, there is currently some issue with the etherdelta link, it is redirecting to MOD-ETH.

We are in contact with etherdelta for them to fix the issue.

Also, there is another token listed on etherdelta with the BTCM code, that is not Bitcoinereum.

To be safe, access to etherdelta only via this link: https://etherdelta.com/#0x03df4c372a29376d2c8df33a1b5f001cd8d68b0e-ETH

so i just watched token transfers, waited til 9 mins and then sent a transfer and got a token.  set a timer every 10 minutes and you win.. I was litterally the first to get the token of the current round

Yes you can do that

Im feeling like this is a dumb method of 'mining' only 50 coins every 5 minutes.. it should be rewarded divided into how many people in those 5 minutes paid gas to mine the coins. This is more like a mining lottery. Doesnt matter what gas you use, ive tried it all. At this rate I've wasted a few dollars just to get 1 single BTCM coin. I cant auto-mine with geth as I use MetaMask and there is no keystore file you can export only private key.  I was hoping this would be something worth while but trying to win a lotto every 5 minutes burning gas doesnt seem worth it. If the mining rewards were split into even for the number of people for the 5 minutes it would make a lot more sense.

Well first it's not every every 5 minutes, it's every 10 minutes (like bitcoin in normal conditions).

Second, you don't need to use your MetaMask account, you can create a new account on geth and then transfer your mined coins to your MetaMask or other address.

Third, the gas fees are important because it gives a non-constant cost to the transactions.

You can take more risk by sending a low fee but if you succeed you get them cheap, but you can also send a higher fee and you get them faster with less risk.

OK guys I finally got the function to run...however I got the above error.  Another poster had commented that he got the same error and someone suggested that he try 2 gwei and send 0 eth.

Well i set it to 2 gwei, but where or how do I set the send 0 eth.  If it is not in the script isnt it already sending 0 eth?

This can be because you are not synced with the network as the gas limit of the old blocks was lower than the current ones.

Suggest you to sync up with the network, to sync you just need to leave geth running (you may need up to 30 GB free space in your PC, normally in 1 night it should get synced).

To check if you are synced with the network you can run the command eth.blockNumber (run it on the geth attach windows), the result should be the current ETH block (you can check the latest block number here: https://etherscan.io/)

If the problem continues after this let us know

So i have to call the function Mine everytime i want to mine a Token? That's a lot of transaction fees... I don't think it's worth it

You decide how much you want to pay for the transaction fees.

You can reduce the gas price for your transactions, however, the lower the gas price the slower the transaction will be processed.

Wish I knew where to start Sad

How to Mine

You can mine with any Ethereum wallet that supports Smart Contracts.

For this example we will use Myetherwallet.com:

1. Open https://www.myetherwallet.com/

2. Click on the "Contracts" tab

3. In the "Contract Address" field insert the BTCM Smart Contract Address: 0x03df4c372a29376d2c8df33a1b5f001cd8d68b0e

4. In the "ABI / JSON Interface" insert the ABI located here: https://pastebin.com/5Djhmm8n

5. Scroll down to the area "Read / Write Contract" select the function "Mine"

6. Load your ETH wallet, Click on "Write", Generate and send the Transaction (Make sure you have some ETH, network Fees apply)

7. If the Mining is successful you will get 1 BTCM (1 BTCM per call).

All Transactions can be verified on the Bitcoinereum block explorer here: https://etherscan.io/token/0x03df4c372a29376d2c8df33a1b5f001cd8d68b0e

The source code can be verified here: https://etherscan.io/address/0x03df4c372a29376d2c8df33a1b5f001cd8d68b0e#code

To verify what's the current reward period check the function RewardStart and RewardEnd, these functions return the start and end of a reward period in Unix format, to convert it to real time use a Unix Time Converter website (Example: https://www.epochconverter.com/)

What is Bitcoinereum?

Bitcoinereum is a Bitcoin like Minable Ethereum ERC20 Token, the first of this kind.

Launched in 2017, it brings the Bitcoin Supply mechanism into a Smart Contract allowing a bitcoin like currency to run on the ethereum blockchain.

It is a bitcoin community token, anyone can mine Bitcoinereum!

Mining Reward

The mining reward of Bitcoinereum is the same as bitcoin in its perfect conditions.

Initially, 50 coins are generated every 10 minutes (same like bitcoin in the beginning).

The Mining is done by calling the function Mine() of the Smart Contract.

Users only require to have few ETH in their wallets to pay the ethereum network fees.

To avoid mining monopoly and better distribution, each call to the Mine() function delivers 1 BTCM to the sender, only a total of 50 calls are allowed per 10 minutes (totaling the max of 50 coins generated per 10 minutes).

Reward Halving

Like in bitcoin, Bitcoinereum comes with reward halving.

Every 4 years the Mining Reward will be halved.

Supply

The total max supply is 21,000,000 BTCM, same like in bitcoin.

Coins can only be generated via Mining, there is no other possibility to generate coins.

The initial Supply is 0 BTCM.

It will take approximately 132 years to mine all BTCM.
