Hello,
I need someone to make a call to online store on my behalf and to try solve my issues.
I can pay 10$ for making an attempt and if you're successful the reward is 30$ for 15 minutes job.
Fluent English required, people born in the USA would be best, since that store is located in the USA.
Looking for someone with at least small negotiation skills.
PM for details.

Hi, is it worth to buy LE version? In EU it costs 47 EUR more. I assume mining speeds are similar, but I wonder if both have Samsung memory?
From what I know Samsung is the best, can use best timings and have best overclocking capabilities.
Regards, oktar

Its smart to have identical power supplies so they turn on at the same time or problems arise.
This simply isn't true. You power the cards first or at the same time. No problems arise. I looked in to using a server PSU, but decided against it after hearing they are too loud to use in a living space. I have enough noise already with all the auxillary fans I have going. The EVGA PSU I bought has an ECO mode that keeps the fan off untilit reaches 40% load. The fan is also barely audible. The way he explained that the motherboard PSU should power all the risers was that otherwise it creates a situation where the 2 PSU's fight to regulate the 12V line. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1843586.msg18399752#msg18399752Server PSU's can get loud at high loads, but they're pretty quiet at ~70% or lower usage. If you hooked up a card's riser and PCI-E power to a second PSU, there's no power connection between that card and the other PSU. The card will draw what it needs, there's no fighting to regulate anything, this is just silly. Source: I run 8 GPU rigs with dual power supplies. 8 cards is a major speedbump in multiple GPU systems. Usually requires driver/bios mods.
They are giving good info. I suggest you read others' threads on multiple GPU systems. Theres LOTS of good info and things to learn just by going through what they did first.
Also, They also make connectors that link the motherboard power cables so they power on at the same time. Its smart to have identical power supplies so they turn on at the same time or problems arise.
8 cards is zero issue if you have a motherboard that can handle it. You do NOT need to do some sort of BIOS or Driver mod. The only Driver mod required currently is you have to use Catalyst 16.x for RX 500 to run >5GPU, which just involves copying the drivers into a 17.4.3 installer. If you have a motherboard that supports it, it's just plug em in and turn it on. Since I suppose there is no mobo with 8x pci-e slots can you tell us which board extension/splitter are you using?

Hello All. I was able to get 6 x RX-500 series running on windows 10 x64. After two days the stupidest thing I tried worked . 1. use DDU to clean the PC from any previous drivers. 2. Disable 4G decoding so you can log into windows (only for Z170,H170, etc.) 3. Extract older driver for RX 400 series in Drive C: (I use 16.9.2 ) 4. Extract driver for RX 500 series in Drive C: (I use 17.4.3) 5. Copy and replace all content from "C:\AMD\Non-WHQL-Win10-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Crimson-16.9.2-Sep21\Packages\Drivers\Display\WT6A_INF\B307117" to "C:\AMD\WHQL-Win7-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Crimson-ReLive-17.4.3-Apr17\Packages\Drivers\Display\W76A_INF\B313057" (Basically you copy the old driver over the new) 6. Install the VGA cards manually from Device manager in Windows pointing path to the new driver 17.4.3 in this case. 7. Reboot and enable 4G Decoding in Bios 8. Enjoy if it works for you. You can try with different driver versions if they work for you. I`m happy whit the 16.9.2 for the moment but any driver that works whit 6 and more RX 400 series GPUs should work . I know that this solution sound stupid but it`s tested on 8 different rigs whit Asus Prime Z270-P and H270 Motherboards and works like a charm. I`m pretty sure only handful of files need to be replaced but I don have the time to test more elegant solution. Sorry for my English and grammar. Does it mean mobo BIOS must have disabling/enabling 4G decoding feature to run more than 5x GPU ?

Hi, I have a question to oclvanitygen users. I successfully compiled the software under Debian linux. I have old mining rig with 4 GPU. Everything seems to work but the load of the cards is quite low: 70-90% and not stable. Nothing that I'm used to when I recall old mining times with stable 99% load in cgminer. How to increase the load to 99% ? It lowers performance a lot with ~80%. Second question. I'm unsure how to read the results. vanitygen provides simple and clear output: Example: ./vanitygen 1tst Difficulty: 4553521 Pattern: 1tst Address: 1tstajg1J32HDSVnFDpCoQ8rTCxmNRYvy Privkey: 5KUruEhXzvmmCJuKhEUtzadNe51DgQzHuGA7EFeBM5mcwRDR2C1
oclvanitygen provides something different. Example: ./oclvanitygen -D 0:0 -D 0:1 -D 0:2 -D 0:3 1tst Difficulty: 4553521 Match idx: 0 CPU hash: a159f76402d9bab648b806082fbc347818825e98 GPU hash: 09cfb112e8f825a6a2ea5b6f83b96e33ac70c459 Found delta: 5955016 Start delta: 1
How to convert it to normal BTC address and private key? I also noticed when I turn on single GPU workload rises to 97-98%. I applied the patch and it works now however I still have shitty GPU loads. The more GPUs the less load. With -D 0:0 -D 0:1 -D 0:2 -D 0:3 it's ~70% each, hashing with 4x GPUs only @ 56 Mkeys/s while single GPU has 26Mkeys/s. Is that normal?

|
I tried to run separate instances of oclvanitygen inside 4 screens in console. It's weird, first card was hashing at 21-23Mkey/s while the other three at 11-13Mkeys/s each. When I run single instance I have combined computing power of ~51Mkeys/s. With 4 seperate instances when adding the values it is ~54-62Mkeys/s. The load was ~90% on each card so better than with one oclvanitygen instance but still not ideal.
Anyone has been using this on multi gpu machine? Is that normal? Why I can't have stable 99% load on every card ?
Edit: I check load % with aticonfig Overdrive if that matters.

1) # dpkg -s libssl-dev | grep Version Version: 1.0.1e-2+deb7u14
2) My GPUs are not the newest ones, I have 4x MSI Twinfrozr 7950. I'll try to find a patch. Thanks.

Do you know any exchanges similar to BTC-E where you can trade on mixed crosses ? I mean cryptocurrency with fiat like LTC/EUR, NVC/USD etc.

You want to pay more than original price for overpriced devices? Are you mad?
|
|
|
Do you really believe network difficulty will drop soon? Come on, seriously? We have tons of asics to be soon delivered from KNC and other companies. Tons of ghash/s paid overpriced. I say difficulty will grow even faster than now.
I have some amount of bitcoins, I always look for a good investment but currently in BTC asic mining world there are absolutely NONE ! I'm not some enthusiast to care about network security, I simply want to earn some money when I invest.
Every offer that I analyse is a huge gamble, every offer gives loss in my calculation or barely small profit (with high risk). Even the Bitfury miners with devices delivered according to promises are not sure to get their money back, not mentioning shit like BFL where you recieve unit after a year and you can say goodbye to your roi - unless you find a sucker who will pay double for your order. BFL even doesn't accept refunds lol, take an example from Yifu. He did not deliver on time, he gives full refund. He is a scumbag as well because he sold our chips to Asia resellers like alibaba.com. That was the reason of adelay and turning his chips into not profitable. I was one of his customers, lucky for me I had "red light" moment when I decided to auction my chips and made some profit.
Recently I bought some GPUs to mine altcoins, your advice is good on that. My analysis showed that this is the only shot for now to go on with mining cryptocurrency.
My bitcoins are burning my pocket but I won't give them for overpriced products to greedy asic manufacturers.
Of course I never count on BTC value rise with my calculations because this is retarded. If you want to speculate with BTC value just buy BTC, not a miner. You will earn a lot more if your speculations were right.

Those overpriced things will never see ROI. Calculator answer: roi considering reduction: NEVER. Good only as a gadget or to show it to your grandchildren. "Take a look my grandson, this is how monetary revolution has begun".

Because of all of this shit I'm getting close to start a flaming BFL thread which (I hope so) would prevent potencional customers from buying from bfl and losing their money. We should have sticked thread about that. Even people from this forum are considering purchase from this joke-company of their new "monarch" delivery-scam-product. Imagine how many are not related with this community and willing to buy like white sheeps. Scam with white glovers, BFL's speciality. Still can't fucking believe.
|
|
|
I can't fucking believe. Why "Inaba" isn't banned already for scamming people around here for continuous things like "Two more weeks (TM)" and insulting people that are his customers ? Delivering ASICs after a year? Talking shit on his customers? I mean c'mon! A company in real world would fire him shortly. It means that BFL is a joke. Why you people can't skip BFL? They are shit. Those are facts. You will never see a ROI with their delivery time unless you find an idiot who pays for you pre-order or pays too much for a device in hand if you are lucky enough to be first in a queue.
NEVER BUY FROM BFL. PERIOD.
