the address does begin with a "q"
i moved it from a nano s to nano x back in august. the account it was in says unsplit the new account doesnt say this. im having an ongoing issue with sending or receiving it. Its not recognizing it. All software and apps are up to date as of yesterday. Ive reset the nano, reinstalled the app etc. Ledger has been horrible as many know.

What does it mean when you put your BCH address in blockchain explorer and under format it says "unkown"
Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is fork from Bitcoin. You can claim your Bitcoin Cash if you have private key of the Bitcoin address that hold some bitcoin before the snapshot for that fork.

The topic is help you to claim your Bitcoin Cash but before you begin to claim it, move your bitcoin to another wallet.

If you download a Bitcoin Cash wallet, today it uses the format with qq- for Bitcoin Cash address.

Doesn't work with ledger mobile app either. I did a restore on the nano x and now if I try and connect to electron it says unable to pair with ledger device.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Electron Cash error on: March 12, 2021, 06:06:11 PM
Ive been having trouble sending Bch from ledger live (nano X). People recommended using electron cash. I was having problems with that as well. All firmware and apps are up to date. BCH address is in correct format.
Tried to login in EC today with nano and came up with a message that never appeared before:
Electron Cash cannot pair with your Ledger.

Anyone have insight as to what to do to correct this.  TIA
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCH withdrawal Lederman NanoX on: March 08, 2021, 07:07:15 PM
I manually put in the address to do a new wallet on electron Cash and shows my BCH but its marked as "watch only"
so i can transfer it. Does this mean anything? Does it help someone help resolve my issus (lol)??

I downloaded electron cash, went the the setup process and it doesn't show my BCH. am I missing a step??
I've even triple checked the address that holds it on explorer and it shows it?!?!
If the app is fully synced but still shows zero balance then probably it isn't the same wallet.
Are the addresses on Electron cash are the same as on your Ledger? If no, then, most likely, you did something wrong when connecting your hw to EC.
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to properly set up Electron cash and  connect your Ledger to it:

I followed those steps via ledger originally when i installed. my address is not in the electron wallet. all apps and ledger live are up to date.
ledger hasnt sent a BS respoonse in days.
im not sure how to upload/attach a pic of the wallet to show that its on the nano and showing on explorer.

If the wallet balance shows on BCH and not showing on the electron cash wallet, it means the wallet is not fully synchronize.
Does this area show a green ball as you see in the picture?
Back to the ledger question, is any code included asde from the "something went wrong. Please try again "?

The green light is there.  No error code on ledger live.

Try downloading the Electron Cash wallet (https://electroncash.org < verify the URL) and connecting your hardware wallet to it. You can send you coins from there.

Appreciate it, thank you. I will try that way.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / BCH withdrawal Lederman NanoX on: March 05, 2021, 02:42:10 PM
I have a nano x that I moved BCH onto last September via ledger live. I use the device device quite frequently,  all software and apps are up to date. Last week I moved some other coins to Celsius via same device no problem;when I went to move my BCH it will not transfer it. It says "something went wrong. Please try again "

The address is in the correct bitcoin cash format. I have read some others having same issue.  I have reached out to Ledger and they were slow with response and have given 2 stupid blow off responses.

Has anyone had this issue? Is there another way to withdraw the funds using the nano on another site/app?
TIA

Hi Everyone;

I scanned through the thread but didn't see this, but can anyone please tell me if and where a US Citizen can buy IOTA?  Or can't they?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mercury Protocol Sale....Denied???? on: October 18, 2017, 03:02:42 AM
Nevermind.  I just got an e-mail response from the team.  The short version is that I explained to them that I own a consulting firm and have been in Norwalk, CT (NOT NEW YORK) for the last two weeks.  Who ever would've thought that YOU HAVE TO BE HOME WHEN YOU REGISTER FOR A SALE.  What's the point of providing proof of residency then??? Just let people register and if their IP address comes from a place that can't participate in the sale screw em!

Anyway, they said in their e-mail that they were going to send the case to their lawyer and they "will reprocess my registration if he permits it".  Rest assured that I am no cupcake.  There is no question about my residency, but I have and WILL retain proof that I have been in Norwalk, CT for the last two weeks.  More specifically, I was in Norwalk, CT on the MOMENT I registered for the sale.  None of this makes any sense.  They can't possibly imagine that someone might register from their laptop, phone, I-pad when they're out of town???  I understand how strict the regulations are and they really need to be careful, but it seems to me there's more to it than this!!!  I'm not letting this go.

I'm not a computer guru or anything, but if there are any computer experts out there, is it possible for someone to be in a hotel (on the hotel's guest Wi-Fi) in Norwalk, CT, but the IP address indicates that they're in NEW YORK?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

Hi there! It's Preethi from the Mercury Protocol team. Sorry for the confusion on our website. The "Check if I'm registered" button is meant to indicate whether we've received your registration form. It is not an indication of approval vs. denial.

We looked into your registration submission. The reason you were declined is because your IP address indicated that you are located in NY. Due to government regulations, NY residents are not allowed to participate in the token launch.

If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to email us at info@mercuryprotocol.com.

I'm going to respond to this via a new thread since I don't know if you will come back to this one.  I would respond via the e-mail as you suggested, but I did e-mail your team at the e-mail address you posted here when I was denied and received ZERO response.  So it seems I'll have better luck here since you promptly responded to this thread.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Mercury Protocol Sale....Denied???? on: October 17, 2017, 01:32:02 AM
Hi Everyone:

I'm new; so I hope I posted in the right place.  I've been playing around with some ICO's and getting involved with some good projects.  The Mercury Protocol/GMT Token Sale Starts on Oct. 25th and I was extremely excited about this one.  I registered for the sale.  All you do is upload your driver's license and enter you home and e-mail addresses and some minor personal info such as phone number, etc.  When I registered for other sales I immediately got an e-mail confirmation saying I was good to go.  I didn't with this one so I e-mailed them to ask them what the deal was. They responded saying it can take up to a week to get the e-mail confirmation.

Today I got the following e-mail:

Thank you for your interest in the Mercury Protocol token launch. Unfortunately, you have not passed our screening process and will NOT be able to participate in the token launch.

Thank you for your interest!

Mercury Protocol team

No explanation why I was denied.  I can't imagine what about a person's driver's license, home address and e-mail address would cause one person to be approved and another denied.  Also, there is no information on their website about who can and who cannot participate in the sale other than they list the countries that can't participate.

Now, having said all that, when I go on their website check to see if I'm registered it says that I AM registered.  I don't know what to make of this.

Anyway, I'm hoping this forum can help; so if anyone has information on this and/or why this would be I would be grateful.

Thank you in advance for your responses.
