FedEx delivered the majority and all of the first batch of Beaglebones to the wrong country and then spent three days lying about the whereabouts in the final week of September. Marcus refuses to use Fedex ever again, for anything ever again. He hates them with a passion for this.

It was only because Beaglebone themselves worked through the day and night for three days solid and paid DHL to deliver expedited that there was any. Even though FedEx were well aware of the problem and Beaglebone found out and restarted manufacture, DHL still beat them.

The Beaglebones arrived Saturday, the chips Sunday, that's how close to line this project was!!

If you start cgminer with this instead:

it will start in the background in a "screen session" so it will keep running.

Then you can "attach" to the screen with
to see what's happening

Even if you close your ssh session or putty it will keep on running.

No mate, I've owned real ones in the past. This is precisely what they were back in the day - housings for huge cutting edge PCB boards (cutting edge in the 80's - those things got hot, had to run 24/7 and had plenty of fans), they were pretty much server cases with large wells-gardner monitors and happ 8-way joysticks. Just these days you can have screens with less depth, larger speakers, and all the games ever created on a thumb drive powered by a tiny light weight processor. Air flow can be altered by adding shelving manipulating the circulation and extraction. You can separate the miners from the rest of the cab. After the miners become redundant, either replace them, keep the cab, or sell the unit on eBay. The only issue is those with unappreciative wives may have to think it through a little longer, these are a little less subtle than hiding the units in the discreet shelving solution posted before...

Today, we have a few announcements to make;

Firstly, our orders for September delivery are now closed. If any refunds occur, any devices that become available will be added as, and when, on the KnCMiner site. So for those keen to secure a device for the preliminary deliveries please keep a look out. They will be sold on a first come first served basis and be added to the end of the September/October queue.

In addition there are a number of individuals that think they can pay their way into preferential order queue positions for September delivery. We absolutely do not sell out the back door. We want to stress;

Our order queue is sacred.

We will not make an exception to anybody. First paid, first served (aside the very beginning 500 customers who were positioned in order of interest). Again please no more emails, or calls asking us to break this rule, it’s not happening.

There is no failure to communicate here.  There are no semantics.  The definition of "screen" in this context is absolutely clear, as there is no other definition of screen that would apply in context.  You asked for exactly what I gave you, here let me post it again:
