1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 【ANN】 ✅ LETHEAN ✅ - Secure, Anon & Fast P2P-VPN-Network backed by the Blockchain on: January 06, 2020, 07:00:20 PM
... I'm asking the following question : is there any rescue plan for 2020 ? i'm talking about a concrete real pragmatic and feasable plan, not the usual excuse of : "we were trying to do our best, but as the price has dropped we have no ressources to hire people and thus continue the devloppment and we can not even do any basic marketing on social media as we work on this project on part-time, and overall it's very hard to reach new people in the countries where VPNs have the most potential..." all these excuses are  justifications for a failure ! instead, is there any serious attempt to try to avoid a comming agony, to revive an interest on the coin (dVPN) ? ...  let's see if there will be a brave answering ! *p.s: please, don't play again that old song of "I don't have time to answer those haters, trolls & Cie ".
I would like to use Lethean but I would like an Exit node in the UK - I wish an important project like this would succeed rather than useless vaporware money grab coins like Tron.

I plan to start exit node in UK. I might need a few weeks because a bit busy with other things as my work for now. I own the Lethernet exit nodes.

Is there a bootstrap of the blockchain available by any chance?
I just upgraded from my old IntenseCoin wallet to the latest Lethean v3.0.0 but the syncing is literally crawling.

An alternative to syncing your own daemon is to connect to the remote node sync.lethean.io.

The service vpn really does not work, I tried, withdraws money, but does not give connection.
Developers, why don't you pay for translations, you have a huge premine, where do you spend it?

Some nodes are not working because of different reasons, mostly because Linux skills are required with this beta version and some people tries it anyway without knowing how Linux works. Also the guides how to setup the nodes needs a bit of improvement. I have written my own guide as text file which is available in Lethean discord message board. But we have a node rating system so if you choose exit nodes with high rating your chances to get a working node is higher. You can try the Lethernet nodes. I am the operator the Lethernet nodes and tries my very best to keep them working. At the moment there is only web browsing proxy mode. VPN will come later. According to roadmap 2019 Q1.

When the payment is done you have to wait around one minute for the payment to arrive to the node. You can see this in wallet when onlime timer starts to count you have got a connection. Then you must have Lethean Browser Extension installed in the browser. Currently Chrome is supported and Firefox version is coming soon. You press connect in the browser extension. Now you can confirm by visiting checkmyip.com that your location have changed.

As an experiment I have added DNS based adblocking in one of my nodes (in Amsterdam). I probably will add it in other nodes too but not all of them. It works quite good even if it not remove all ads to 100%. As example some ads are served from same address as the content (like Youtube video ads) but it  remove most of the ads. I have other nodes without this adblock so you can choose if you want it or not by selecting the node that you like most. And you can also try other node providers. I have seen a few working nodes on locations that I not provide yet. Go by the rating.
In order to install the browser extension in windows, do you need linux skills?
Are you seriously?
Epicfail, facepalm...

To install the exit node. Anybody can try installing an exit node. Currently exit nodes are on Linux only. Windows is later. GUI wallet and browser extension is on Windows also. All Components must work from user to exit node. Wallet, browser extension and exit node. So it might be a failing exit node that caused the problem. Can also be your GUI wallet or the browser extension. We are still in beta testing so there could be a bug too. But things improve quickly, soon beta3 version will be released. I Heard it should come next week.

Anyway I know it works. I used one of my nodes almost ane hour yesterday evening without any problems. And got adblock too  by this node :-)

Intensecoin is being rebranding to Lethean (LTHN)
https://intensecoin.com/2018/08/welcome-to-lethean/

A new thread was created for Lethean:

The coins are the same but they have a new name.

Hi!

I joined discord but got "verify phone number" with preset country code +1.
So it is only people living in USA that are allowed in the discord?

Interesting project. On what exchange is planned to get listed? Any plan to do masternodes for this coin? What equipment is needed to mine it?

It's already on Trade Ogre and Stocks.Exchange -- currently under the ITNS designation.

It has now been changed to LTHN ticker on the Exchanges:

https://tradeogre.com/exchange/BTC-LTHN
https://app.stocks.exchange/en/basic-trade/pair/BTC/LTHN
https://app.stocks.exchange/en/basic-trade/pair/ETH/LTHN

Is there already a VPN available? Can I set up and use intense as vpn or is currently only the blockchain wallet avialable?

Currently in closed beta but opening soon (August).
Please read the bi-weekly announcements for details.

awesome. does we need to register to become beta testers?
need to wait for the launch.
as far as I know, you need to have intense coin, and you can mine some with your gpu to get vpn.

Great news! Will check it out. Where do I find the bi-weekly news?

The news are twice per month and today around 21:00 UTC I think we can expect the August 1st news (it is normally released on 1st and 15th at 21:00 UTC).

When will we see the rebrand result? will it be an Intense fork coin or brand new one?

Rebranding is expected in August.
The coin is the same. It is only the name of the coin that change.
So no fork and no new coin.

To all the whales out there, which trading bot software do you use ?

Best option is to make your own bot. Python is a nice programming language for that.
You can use open source library ccxt to communicate with Exchanges.
https://github.com/ccxt/ccxt

Alternative make your own routines for communicating with APIs if ccxt not support your Exchange.

Take a look at IntenseCoin. The IntenseCoin VPN network will be launched  this summer which will make the price go up.

Tack i förhand gott folk!
