1  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How to mine with CPU only with old bitcoin-0.1.3 (new blockchain) on: April 30, 2016, 04:09:38 PM
i think its not good to mine anymore with cpu. Maybe u should use your GPU better for this.

regards

You don't understand what I want to do and your "advice" is ..........

I don't want to mine BTC (with sky high diff. so even GPU is obsolete for few years now)

I want to start from scratch to mine ALONE with constant diff. = 1

As I see I must post this question on freelancer site because this question is too diff. for bitcointalk "members" (over 70 members see this and no answer)
2  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How to mine with CPU only with old bitcoin-0.1.3 (new blockchain) on: April 30, 2016, 11:25:20 AM

It might help people better understand if you do tell them what you want to achieve and why.

Because bitcoin-0.1.3 don't mine alone I presume I need to setup a small network of PC to simulate mining conditions in 2009 days (I believe sotoshi mined alone or with help of few friends in 2009)?
3  Bitcoin / Mining / How to mine with CPU only with old bitcoin-0.1.3 (new blockchain) on: April 30, 2016, 11:08:44 AM
I want to start complete new blockchain (exactly as satoshi did in 2009)

I will mine myself ONLY so difficulty will be always in 1 range so CPU is more than enough for this task

So my question is: how to setup OLD bitcoin-0.1.3 to start mining (what exactly I need to do so after I click: Options > Generate Coins I'm able to start mining)?

Please reply ONLY if You know the answer don't comment or judge this because You don't know what I want to achieve and why

Thanks

5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Multiple wallets mathematically more prone to loss? on: May 21, 2014, 04:33:11 PM
Brain wallet is VERY dangerous

Move your BTC ASAP to address generated with https://bitcoin.org/en/download and just print on paper (with big fonts) your private key (at least 3 copy)

Also is good idea to generate 4 or more wallets instead of one (I have 55 BTC in 4 offline wallets)

Buy or mine Litecoins not BTC
Are you really advising a newbie to buy Litecoins? Stop your lame attempt to make him inflate this bubble even more.
The FIRST crypto-currency a newbie should be is Bitcoin. Period.

When Bitcoin start in 2009 nobody believe in it, year ago BTC was $10 now over $120

When Litecoin start in 2011 nobody believe in it and was worth 7 cents now about $3 (42 TIMES more!)

Do You see a pattern here or You are too blind?

Look at http://ltc.block-explorer.com/charts NUMBERS DON'T LIE

Look at this http://www.forbes.com/sites/jonmatonis/2012/06/22/the-bitcoin-richest-accumulating-large-balances/

When this smart guys sell BTC? Click on each to see!

For example: http://blockchain.info/address/13vJZKHKBirruXwmjMaRtakzPQRRHQit1S

50,180 BTC change owner at 2013-02-01 when price was right !!!

With 2Gh miner you can mine 2.5 BTC/month BUT over 3 LTC/day so it's WISE to mine LTC now and keep them till 2014 or 2015 or buy LTC if you can PERIOD.

You can mine 2,5 BTC/month or 3 LTC/day on 2Ghs/s miner so choice is obvious

Nvidia for mining is useless see https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison

Buy 3 x HD 7970 which give you 2GHs/s and after you done with mining you can play latest games on it or sell  Smiley

16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Problems mining LTC but not BTC!? on: May 29, 2013, 07:39:49 AM
ben62884 - I mine LTC on cgminer without any problem from DAY ONE (about 3 LTC/day)

17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just how dead are graphics card miners? on: May 29, 2013, 07:20:48 AM
Look at http://ltc.block-explorer.com/charts and scroll down to Mining difficulty screen and Market Capitalisation (USD) - it's the right time to BUY or start to mine LTC
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question about securing wallet on: May 29, 2013, 07:10:15 AM
1. You can export private key (dumpprivkey in console) and print them on paper and then even if you lost/delete wallet.dat you can easy retrieve wallet.dat file on any PC/Mac

2. Split your wallet and money on 10 wallets and store it on external HDD/USB stick

3. I only copy ONE wallet.dat file when I need SEND money and after that delete it from my system

4. Install Linux as second system or run it from USB key to increase security
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just how dead are graphics card miners? on: May 29, 2013, 06:53:37 AM
GPU minning is not dead

It's alive and kicking!

ATM you can mine alternative crypto http://dustcoin.com/mining with decent return

After you mine them you can sell/exchange them and EASY earn 2 times more on https://btc-e.com/exchange/ltc_usd

You can also sell GPU miners on ebay and easy get your investment in hardware back in a month

So after a month you can mine for example LTC and get 100% returns even if electricity in your area it's not cheap

BTW I think LTC will soon sky high like BTC

BTC started at 2009 and in 2012 you can buy it for 10$ now in 2013 for over $120

LTC started at 2011 and then you can buy them for few cents now it's at 3$ and in last few months more and more GPU miners from BTC switch to LTC so price will rise VERY SOON

With 2Ghs/s GPU miner you can mine about 2,5 BTC/month BUT over 3 LTC/day

You can build 2Ghs/s miner yourself for 2000$

You can also BUY 2000 LTC or more now and wait till 2014/15 and made easy money

This is how I do it...
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie questions on wallet.dat encryption. on: May 29, 2013, 06:31:08 AM
I simply created 10 wallets and export private keys from each and print them on paper and put in safe place

In case wallet.dat file will be deleted or lost I can retrieve it from private key

Of course I store 10 wallets on separate HDD / USB sticks and switch off internet access when copied one of them to main system

So in worst case even if my main system will be hacked I only lost ONE of my wallet which is 10% of my money on it

If you are paranoid you can even deleted 10 wallets and retrieve each wallet when you need it and use Linux to reduce possibility of simple hack
