1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [MOON] Mooncoin 🌙 built in 2013 with the future in mind on: November 01, 2021, 02:36:59 PM
Why do we keep on switching announcement threads?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FedoraCoin (TiPS) - New Dev team: Fedoracoin Foundation on: January 31, 2021, 08:06:16 PM
Hello All,

It is sad to see this project possibly end if no one takes it over.  I have liked Fedora Coin since the beginning.  But as a dev myself, I understand how much money and time it takes to do what needs to be done.  The time commitment is great and the out of pocket for an honest developer is considerable.  Non-scam coins take big bucks to run, there are many things that need to be paid for, and rarely does the community help support the coin.  I just hope this project gets rescued!!

Cheers,
Waya

Aren't you posting over on mooncoin as well?

I wondered when mooncoin would pop back up on the radar.  The sub Reddit is starting to see some action again.

Just be yourself and help others.

What if he is a jerk?  Should he still be himself?

Would be nice if we could get a dev on this team again.

Why the new thread?  Our original thread was just fine for a coin that isn't doing anything.  Can't believe I happened to find this buy chance.

Any Active Devs here? Just got this email back from coinexchange.io

Hi tdinan1,

That might help actually. We have reached out a number of times to the MOON devs we have on gile and have had no response. They owe us balance due to invalid transactions on their chain before we can enable deposits and withdrawals.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Clayson Frost
CoinExchange.io Support Team

I thought that was addressed a while back.  Guess it wasn't.

just click on the damn link!

LOL!  I found it to be pretty funny.

so every wallet will need to have (for better mining) bbp? because now i have one big primary and mining machines are ~5k each, moving every day to primary

I think during the first month or so, while we get a feel for ABN, we will probably try about 256K coin age in prod, so that means you would need to send 256,000 bbp out to the mining machines in order for them to create a block.  The BBP would need to age for 24 hours before you accrue 256K coin age.  Once one of those machines finds a block it would lose its coin age again and start the cycle over.

Note that on the controller wallet, all locked sanc funds dont count, so you would need to leave 256K of a free balance there.

Forgive my ignorance, so I am going to have to have 265k BBP just to mine it now?

Price is very cheap it will be fun to invest some dust into this coin even trade volume is also very low but not bad to take risk on this kind of coin. While this already have moon but it is good to see when it will reach to real moon.

I mined it back in the early days, and just have it sitting and waiting.  Hope it picks up.

TIPS swapped to FED and is discussed here now (for anyone who missed it since CMC's link still takes them here to the TIPS discussion): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5137508.msg50828201#msg50828201

So does that mean that the swap has occured and that the TIPS I have cannot be swapped?

According to their website "Altilly provides a manual swap feature for any holders wishing to exchange".
See here: https://www.fedoragold.com/

Thanks.  So is GATE.io exchange for TIPS or for FED?  Both coinmarketcap and gate.io list it as TIPS.

Hey Everyone,
It has been a while, and there have been a LOT of changes since I last checked in on BBP.  I started mining again, and I am curious as to what "Proof of Power" is under some of my received transactions.  Is that the bonus that Rob added for using purepool?

Thanks,
ride22

I haven't heard of that - is this in Purepool?  If so Licht might have to answer that.

Someone added a joke last week called PROWL (proof of orphan writing letters) but it was not me.

I started mining in purepool, yes.  However, I think I might have it figured out.  I was looking it my receiving addresses and I have some labeled: "Proof of power mining," "Tithes", and "Business_Objects."  I have no idea where those came from because I didn't add them.

So is FedoraCoin dead now?

That would be my guess.

https://forum.biblepay.org/index.php?topic=254.new#new

So far, the 'No BiblePay Team requirement' is passing in our sanctuary vote and our poll is pointing toward paying non-biblepay teams 50%.

Our testnet thread successfully tested the no team requirement and the payment percentage.

At this point we are beginning to schedule an end of month mandatory upgrade (right after we test IPFS-PODS).

Sorry, I don't follow.  Is there somewhere I can read up on what that means?  I read through about 10 pages of this thread and still can't figure it out.

Maybe this will help .. https://forum.biblepay.org/index.php?topic=254.new#new

There's more good info here .. https://www.reddit.com/r/BiblePay/comments/9b6tex/testnet_testing_ipfs_decentralized_file_system/

I am just lost in general.  I guess there is a lot that I need to look up.  Thanks

A 20% pre-mine is a rough way to start.  A lot of people are going to scream scam coin.

I have to admit that I really don't like the idea of a 50/1 split as an original holder of Fedora/Tips.

It's not a 20% pre-mine for the developers. You need to mine coins for the swap.

The actual "pre-mine" is 10%, of which 5% goes to the developers (2% for airdrop, 3% for listing fees).
If they lock up 80% of that amount, only 1% of the supply will be available to pay developers in the short term. It's not a lot.

I just hope that reserving 80% of the supply to pay miners, doesn't mean they get paid an incredible amount. They'll dump it to earn money (suppressing the price for everyone) and devaluate the price for all holders who do not mine. That's the part I'm worried about, but it's the downside of a coin that can be mined.

Thanks Delphinus, appreciate your thoughts!

Actually the mining algo is fairly modest. Since it only runs on CPU's as well, you can't spin up a huge farm and mine a massive quantity. We're hoping however that the modest rewards will appreciate of course!

We should have a mining pool available pretty soon if you're interested.

Cheers,
Robots.

I would be interested in mining as well.
