1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PIVX] - PRIVATE INSTANT VERIFIED TRANSACTION - PROOF OF STAKE - ZEROCOIN on: May 31, 2018, 08:15:52 PM
How can I setup masternode only in my local wallet (without VPS)? Have you guide for this case?

It's actually more secure (and not at all hard) to set up a remote MN so I don't know of many recent guides for doing it locally (especially now that MN collateral can be held on a Ledger). Here's the original version, from the man himself 1 day after the network went live:

OK, It's pretty easy to create a masternode,

Create an Address and Name it MN1 or whatever you want. Send 10k (exactly 10k) DNET to this address. Wait until there are a minimum of 15 confirmations to the transaction.

Thank you, I'll try it.

In PIVX I have to use unique IP address for each masternode. Is this also true fo Feirm?
Have you guide how to start multiply mn's in local wallet?

First page needs to be rewritten in the pools section. Only 2 pools are active, even dev's pool is empty.
Also I agree that some bounty programs, giveaways and signature campaign can be helpful for envolving and attracting more concerment.

I need some clarifications please.
1) Node and supernode in NEM tutuorials are the same or not?
2) I can't understand how to start up delegated harvesting. Those official "how-to" are useless.
What exactly I have to do to start NIS-server that would harvest and to which I'll connect remotely from my local wallet (Nano or NCC)?

No, that isn't!
Windows's answer is: "pushd mon - can't find this path".

>If you want to start NIS and NCC separately you can do this by double clicking "runNis.bat" and "runNcc.bat" and then open your browser and visit http://localhost:8989.
Same. "System can't finrd path pusd nis".

What?! Nanowallet or Lightwallet? Are they the same wallets or not?

Why do I get "Not allowed" status with my minted coins although there're many confirmations and coins are 10 days old?

Look at the sticky in meta for the guide.
Sorry but where can I get this "meta"?

Trying to log with my old account I get:
>Sorry %username%, you are banned from using this forum!
>Your account is locked because it sat inactive for years after the password hashes were leaked in 2015, and was therefore at high risk of being hacked.

I sent mail to address react-vdnp8@theymos.e4ward.com without any response. I want my old account.

11  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Has anyone been able to send a transaction using Electrum/ Electron Cash so far? on: November 18, 2017, 08:18:08 AM
I also had trouble with this shit - Electron Cash. As user HCP had adviced I disabled 2FA in new Electrum wallet (2.9.3) and opened it in Electron (2.9.3). After many "server doesn't response" errors it sent test transactions to "bitcoin.com" and Bittrex wallets.
I've noticed that first try to send BCC just after opening Electron is more likely to be successfull. So I tried opening and sending it many times. Some of them were broadcasted, most didn't. But those who did appeared in "bitcoin.com" and Bitterx wallets.
Hope my experience will help you.
Your problem is that BCH recently had a HardFork... and you need to be using v2.9.4 of ElectronCash... I think a lot of the servers won't play nice with ElectronCash v2.9.3... so make sure you update to v2.9.4 for ElectronCash

Newest versions of Electrum seem to have a few little "bugs"... so if you're messing around trying to disable 2FA etc on Electrum, I would suggest v2.9.3

I strongly wanted to use 2.9.4 version but it just didn't open wallet backuped by 2.9.3. Wallet closed without any error messages. Whatever, I send BCC from 2.9.3 and sold it on Trex.
Thank you for your advices, they really helped me.

Hello everyone, I've not been able to claim my BCH from the Electrum to Electron cash. I have seed, though it is 25 words, not the typical 12. It was a 2FA wallet as well and i've followed all the instructions on here to disable 2FA. I've been at it for days and I can't seem to recreate a working wallet in Electron. I've tried sending my keys to other wallets, and using the seed with earlier versions of Electrum first, to modding the wallet and just opening it with Electron, with no luck on any front. Electron just hangs, or closes altogether. I'm nearing the end of what I'll do to claim these coins... Anyone trustworthy on here want to take a stab at it for a piece of a somewhat small prize?

Thanks for reading. =]

Make sure you are using the latest version of ElectronCash... v2.9.4 - https://electroncash.org/#download

BCH network had a "hard fork" on Nov 13th... ~block#504,000... it seems that ElectronCash v2.9.3 is unable to sync past block 503,999...
I can't open this wallet in 2.9.4 because client just close.
Yesterday one transaction to Bittrex was send without error. Now it has status "Not verified" in Electron and I have that BCC on Bittrex now.

Ok... so I think I've found a way to work around the "Please wait" issue Smiley

Short Version: Use Electrum to create your "disabled" 2FA wallet, then open that wallet in ElectronCash

Important: I finally got this to work after a long headache. I tried using an Electrum wallet that was a couple of months old and the newest Electron Cash, to no avail, then I tried the newest versions of both, same result. But then I downloaded version 2.9.3 of both Electron Cash and Electrum and it worked on first try.

Download the *.exe files here:
https://electroncash.org/downloads/2.9.3/win-linux/
https://download.electrum.org/2.9.3/

Dude I had the same problem.... after days trying i found the same solution ... =/

But eletron cash keeps showing not connected and not verified..... How u solved it ?

Thanks !

I have the same issue.
Update: solved. I've just choose "select server automatically" in network preferences and it works. Server now is bitcoincash.bitcoinplug.com.

Update 2: transactions don't work. "Server didn't answer".
What can be done with it?

Sorry for the previous comment, now it works PERFECTLY AND THE SENDING ISSUE IS SOLVED, THANKS SO MUCH!

Here's what I screwed up:

When trying to create new wallet, I choose Standard Wallet instead of Wallett with 2 factor auth. See pic: https://i.imgur.com/lbryyQu.png

Since I thought that was the whole point, to create a wallet without 2FA. But then I read your other thread and saw that we have to choose Wallet with 2FA and once we created it disable the 2fa. Worked perfectly, now I have access to my BCC and can send and do whatever I want.

thanks!

I haven't such option (2FA), just 3 other options.

Try and follow this guide that I created a couple of months ago: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2061343.msg21366179#msg21366179

Basically, you create the "disabled" 2FA wallet using Electrum (I would recommend v2.9.3 as v3 updates the wallet format which will most likely not work with Electron Cash)... and then open the "disabled" 2FA wallet with Electron Cash... Wink

Electrum v2.9.3 can be got here: https://download.electrum.org/2.9.3/

I've done your method carefully but Electron Cash didn't open wallet. Just stay with previous "default_wallet". I tried to restore but pressing "next" button did nothing.
What else can I do to take BCH from Electrum with 2FA?
