2  Economy / Economics / Re: Taxless society idea on: August 27, 2019, 07:29:37 PM
I am not sure if i understand your idea as you intended.

So all the government expenses would made of thin air and would amount to crypto currencies value decrease?

I dont think that any taxless society can exist , if there is no other source of income like oil .
3  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is a bitcoin head tail site without gambling license illegal? on: August 27, 2019, 07:26:23 PM
I have seen that crypto gambling sites are among very profitable , they are ton which are advertising here on daily basis.
They are a grey area, I think that this question taken to court could be a long debate. In general it is way cheaper to make a crypto gambling site than a fiat one.
4  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-08-26] Telegram's 300 Million Users Could Soon Be Trading Bitcoin ... on: August 27, 2019, 07:22:13 PM
I think that telegram is a few levels better than Libra shitcoin.
The article states that there will be also ETH and BTC , depending on how easy it will be to use this option, this is exciting I want to see how this will pan out.

Regarding the privacy, telegram is privacy oriented as long as they principles do not change, i will consider it cautiously pro privacy.
5  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-08-24] BTC Transactions Lead to Int'l Drug Trafficking Ring’s Arrest on: August 27, 2019, 06:58:48 PM
More details are needed before we can comment on this news. I am not sure how the feds were able to track the Bitcoin transactions. Drug kingpins normally have tens of billions of USD worth of turnover per year, and they are not stupid to use payment methods that can be traced back to them. I am sure that the Chinese individuals in question here might have used Bitcoin mixers and other anonymity providers.

There is a good chance that they were traced when they tried to convert their BTC to cash. And this is the stage where more than 90% of the drug traffickers are caught. There are only a very few instances where the authorities actually tracked the Blockchain transactions to the individual. In most cases, the BTC to fiat conversion is the riskiest part for the criminals.

The DarkWeb mostly works with BTC so they infact are so stupid to use traceable payments methods. You already told us and yourself where the weakest points are - mixers and fiat to btc txs. There is no way to escape that especially when working with large amounts of BTC.
6  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-08-23] Bitcoin Miners Are Heating Homes Free of Charge in Frigid Siberia on: August 27, 2019, 06:54:04 PM
Seems fishy how a mining rig can produce enough heat and BTC to cover the electricity + the cost of the rig itself .

Siberia mostly gets their heat from burning stuff so using it to power up miners wont be the best hting for enviroment.
7  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin Bangladesh on: August 26, 2019, 12:21:18 PM
How this is some kind of news or something worth making new thread for?

It seem shat OP lives in the region, started to research the topic and found this information and was so shook up that decide he had to write it here.
I think it would be more appropriate to write it in the local board.
8  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Cryptocurrencies are not harmful for economy on: August 26, 2019, 12:18:46 PM
The investment in cryptos can not be viewed as a risk even from governments side, becasue it is the same kind of investment as anything else
The concern form their side could be something completely different - the wealth transfer using crypto currencies. But the tracking services and regulations over the globe is starting to catch up and also this wont be a problem anymore soon.
9  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-08-07] Binance Has Denied Information About Users Data Leak on: August 26, 2019, 12:08:51 PM

Major cryptocurrency exchange Binance announced that it will offer a lifetime VIP membership to all its users affected by the recent Know Your Customer (KYC) images leak on the platform.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/binance-offers-lifetime-vip-membership-to-kyc-leak-victims

Binance trying to get off the hook in the cheapest way possible, if I was one of those who had been victims for this hack, i wouldn't agree on this so easily. Cheap tradings traded for my leaked ID papers, no way.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Trade war Influences on cryptocurrency on: August 26, 2019, 12:01:50 PM
I have been taking notice of trade wars news and actual taxes but haven't seen any influence on crypto markets, i think that there is a very week connection or nothing at all. The trade  war has a big impact on stock markets .
11  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance hacked again 10k+ KYC (FACEBOOK 2.0 LEAKAGE) on: August 26, 2019, 11:55:51 AM
Wow. Every binance users are now a stock image. Or they would be illegally used until their value becomes zero. That is less of concern when governments can now track the users based on the nationality and take them in custody confiscating their funds. Many of the countries Binance allowing at the moment have strict ban on crypto tradings.
This cries out low why we should campaign against KYC and use exchanges that doesn't ask for one.

What are you even trying to say besides not using KYC exchnages?

There are not a lot of options, some exchanges will allow you to trade till certian level is met and only then ask you for your KYC. And BTW Binance has high threshold till they ask for KYC. There are few anonymous  "decentralized"  exchanges out there, but they dont have the liquidity of the large exchanges.
12  Economy / Economics / Re: HODL! U.S. debt Alarm on: August 23, 2019, 11:58:13 AM
US will never be able to pay their debt, it is almost impossible to grasp the amount of their debt.
It is absolutely huge.

For sure there is big lobby to go in even bigger debt , to take more money not only to buy stuff from lobbyist niches but also to pay more percents to those who gives out these debts. It would be interesting to see how these interest rates are progressing over time, what are the values of their paid debt monthly and yearly. For sure there would be some interesting stuff
13  Economy / Economics / Re: hackers becoming smarter than exchanges? on: August 22, 2019, 10:35:31 AM
This is a classical game of mouse and cat.
The cybersecurity problems are not just limited to crypto exchanges. A lot of institutions are hacked , also very high class government institutions. It is not that exchanges are not thinking of their security but the hackers constantly find new ways to exploit some holes in their security.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin volatility here to stay? on: August 22, 2019, 10:33:13 AM
Regulation.
Stay with me, I will explain. Regulation will need more investors, the more investors can buy bitcoin . Not some derivatives backed by BTC price but hard core Bitcoins. If there is more investors, there are money in market, the more money in market - less volatility.
15  Economy / Economics / Re: stupidity is so close to poverty on: August 21, 2019, 11:27:50 AM
stupidity is so close to poverty, do you agree with such a phrase?
if it yes, means the poor are the fools.
I want to know your opinion.  Grin Grin

I would say that this statement as a whole is stupid. Pour people in general are not stupid, they have to survive on small amount of cash so they are wise and know how to ration and make things work with what they got.

There is some truth if you rephrase the statement - pour does not have the same opportunities as others, inmost cases they have to go to hardest route just because they do not have the means or information, again because they are busy with working and surviving.
16  Economy / Economics / Re: FED Chairmain compares Bitcoin to Gold on: August 20, 2019, 06:19:46 PM
Well even if this discussion- gold vs btc is as old as bitcoin, I still like to way in.

BTC is much more like investment asset as is gold than it is a payment method. But gold is much less payment method as bitcoin is.
So bitcoin is gold and is better than physical gold because it is easier to pay with.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Crimes involving crypto have risen on: August 20, 2019, 02:46:19 PM
This kind of information was also posted in news section of forum with correct references. Which OP also should have done here.

The main thing is that there is no real sources of this information. It is not clear how this information was calculated.
18  Economy / Economics / Re: Hong Kong Activist Leader Calls For A Run On Chinese Banks Tomorrow (Friday) on: August 20, 2019, 02:43:13 PM
This is not a " new call" to action, there already was such call few weeks ago.
This is not a decisive tool but can be good way to protest , I support them.

In general I dont see this Honk Kong problem going away soon, Chinese are not use to listen to masses. Today red that Twitter is blocking protesters acounts, if this is true shame on Twitter they are as bad as Chinese government,
19  Economy / Economics / Re: thoughts on companies becoming too powerful? on: August 16, 2019, 10:25:12 AM
It is definitely a bad thing. The best example is USA as a whole, it has become a wheel of money from government to huge companies and it will never ever stop. The military machine, almost all of of tax money goes to military spendings, then the military companies pay ( lobby) to politicians to get funding next year.
20  Economy / Economics / Re: Differences between an investor and common man! on: August 16, 2019, 10:21:46 AM
What are the things differ from mindset of common man with investor, please share your thoughts.

IMO,investors never want to take loans for their consumption like home loan, car loan, etc then just save money and will buy the things for their needs but common man like you and me will buy the things immediately when we get the desire of it using loans but we are paying 20% of interest to those kind of loans.

taking loans vs not taking loans is not the difference between investor and everyday Joe.
There are many stupid people who take those small loans and then get trapped for very long time periods, just because they want a new phone or shoes.

Also investors do take loan and many ! The whole stock market is based on those who take loans and then invest in stocks, this is why stocks are strongly correlated to FED interest rates.
