uBlock.it is running much better now. Attack is now being successfully mitigated.  Cool

Apologies for the issues over the last week.
Happy mining.
ublock, like all those who do NOT mining under "All Others" will have major problems of orphanage, if that SOLO miner does not decide to do things properly.

Needless to lash out at RiePool without ever having any kind of evidence of what was claimed.  Roll Eyes

The problems here are very different!

for ziiip, dga and other "idiots": I advise you to stop with your ridicolous and unfounded accusations. We have already begun to take action, if you continue we will go ahead even outside the forum... Please STOP!
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RIC] Riecoin: constellations POW *CPU* HARD FORK successful, world record on: December 14, 2017, 08:01:40 PM
Our GPU miner is very promising! Our first tests performed with ATI R9 series graphics cards indicate about 4.5x gain compared to xptMiner dga-c17 on the Intel Xeon E5 series.

It's a great result and we still have to fix some bugs.

We take this opportunity to invite those interested in mine this currency to do so on www.riepool.ovh and use xptMiner 2.2, the best miner in circulation. Only in this way can we continue to develop an innovative miner for Riecoin.
Thanks to those who support us and good RieMining!

P.S.  We all have balls full of you that continue, moreover, to release the blocks even after 15 minutes.... (the one Solo miner that solves 90%+ of the blocks). You have a lot of computing power, ok, at least do not be an asshole!
You, solo miner, will have a nice big surprise from our GPU miner! Yeah!   Grin

red... But you said in a previous post to use more mining power on uBlock than you used on RiePool. Also this is a fact... Then, anyway, each one is free of mining as he thinks more appropriate, we have always said this. Even if Solo miners could help the pools.....
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RIC] Riecoin: constellations POW *CPU* HARD FORK successful, world record on: November 21, 2017, 11:26:27 AM
I didn't said xptminer2 reports better hashrates. I said exactly the opposite. So you can't report 100% the same thing.

I moved to ublock into their open source xptminer just according to better hashrate. I had 40.000khash in riepool, and around 300.000khash in ublock.
Thats a substantial grow. maybe fake, but jumped from 170 coins each day to 600 each day

Regards
Once and for all.... To effectively test multiple pools you need to have at least one month's test for each, so you will avoid the data being distorted by the marked fluctuation of the mining power on the pool and of the difficulty of the PoW itself.

for ziiip: Probably, towards the issue of code writing and the first tests, we will consider releasing the sources code, so you can give us a hand in the corrections of the case. We hope the performances are high (so it seems) and that in this way Riecoin can embrace more users than mine with the GPUs. Stay tuned  Cool

people lets vote to get riecoin on altcoin.io exchange, decentralized with atomic swaps, what do you think?
https://feedback.altcoinexchange.com/suggestions/2135/add-riecoin
This currency needs more exchanges. It would be interesting to include Riecoin on relatively large platforms such as Bittrex, CEX.IO, YObit.

P.S. GPU RIC miner development is going forward  Cool
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RIC] Riecoin: constellations POW *CPU* HARD FORK successful, world record on: November 16, 2017, 02:14:17 PM
No you can't. Its modified to only mine riepool.

You must to use dave-andersen xptminer from github, and compile it. I compiled it fine with primesieve libgmpxx and that stuff, but i couldn't for windows

Regards

does the hash rate actually differs if you use xtpminer2 ?

can you select a different pool except the one it has embedded in it?

thanks for your reply. i see.
what about the hash rate difference? is the xtpminer2 like 20% better than the xtpminer?
To test the two miners, just do it for both on RiePool and appreciates xptMiner 2.2 performance. For Intel i7 and Xeon CPUs the increase in computing power exceeds 20% compared to dga-c17 with Primesieve libraries.  Cool

For some time we are also working on a new miner for GPU but still in full phase of code writing and possible optimization. We will keep you up to date on development  Wink

AHAHAH this is beautiful! If I had all that power I used to use to make you more coins Huh?? ahahhaha mah!

You have to know that to accuse someone serving the tests, so good luck if you are looking for RiePool.......

Goodbye noob!

It does not generate more coins if blocks are withheld, please educate yourself on selfish mining. It only serves to hurt the pool and it's users.
For each block solved, he unfairly earns more coins, for this penalizes all other users. But this does not seem to depend on redjedievolution but from the attacker

Ok, so the attacker magically know my worker?  Cheesy Cheesy you're the only one who knows my worker, because i was on riepool, and i left to ublock.

Explain me that  Wink
But what are your workername and passwords? If you have put something like "jhon doe" or x.x it is clear that then the attacker try the correct one.

You have to know that to accuse someone serving the proofs, so good luck if you are looking for RiePool.......  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes

The only one who knows my workers are the owner of riepool. So he is doing the attack.

I do not think I understand well... But then does he create problems with the botnet???

very simple. if botnet miner can learn a worker login they will submit block withholding attack using that worker login. This only servers to hurt the pool, even though one user will be receiving extra rewards due to the high volume of shares.

Basically someone is not happy with uBlock.it it appears  Roll Eyes

Goodbye noob!

Would changing the algorithm be a good solution too? seeing as this appears to be GPU mineable for a while now. Also why was this coin CPU to begin with? The coin would have much higher prime records if it started with a GPU friendly algorithm.

We take the opportunity to inform users who follow Riecoin that we have been working for a while on an OpenCL based GPU miner. Early tests are very promising but we still have to work a lot on the optimization phase and subsequent tests.

Call me liar telling the truth looks very disrespectfull to me. Conversation with you has ended for me. And im also gonna ignore you in bitcointalk.
How did you say me via email, you're just a noob! Ahahah  Grin

Bye bye

I think someone is not happy with any of the pools seen the ongoing DDoS attacks that have been going on for years and the amount of SOLO miners who are gravitating on this coin. Sin!

On RiePool you had connect only 15-20 machines so you are also a liar if you think to compare between the 2 pools  Shocked

And 1 core on hundreds of computers.... ahahhaha

ziiip check your pool. Isn't possible to switch from a hashrate of 600 MH/s to 3500 MH/s and vice versa in 1 minute. It's obvious that something does not work as it should in your pool.

No botnet on RiePool. We have a few miners connected in this period. I might think the same thing about uBlock in the last few days

edit: 3500 MH/s right now on uBlock.

botnet miner has discovered redjedievolution's worker password on one worker because his account was not anonymous and mining on his account. This only serves to steal work from other users, though the blocks themselves are likely solved by redjedievolution. This has reduced our liquid assets by a significant margin in a short period of time.
I do not think I understand well... But then does he create problems with the botnet???

Don't touch anything, im happy seeing my hashrate so big even if its fake  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I'll keep mining on ublock, its funny  Grin

The reported hashrate may appear higher on uBlock.it because we changed the hashrate modifier to make RIC/day estimations more accurate.

There is really no good way to calculate hashrate on Riecoin. Only share rate reflected at pool should be used for comparisons. Just for arguments sake, we can change the hashrate modifier to match Riepools, the payouts will still be the same

redjedi could you tell me what are you mining to have a hashrate so high? These network difficulties require hundreds of top level computers to use for your performance.

If it wasn't then there is something that does not work as it should on uBlock.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RIC] Riecoin: constellations POW *CPU* HARD FORK successful, world record on: November 15, 2017, 03:17:11 PM
Anyone knows what are these addresses that mine 1 block and dissapear?

They dont send money to any exchange, only mine 1 block and no more
He send 250 RICs from 5 different addresses each time to another address periodically. Also with bigger amount.

You're right, im mining with much power, but not too much compared with riepool

I'll keep mining in ublock, definitely its better Cheesy

Regards.

In ublock you will double your hashrate

I was mining on riepool, and now on ublock, and i don't know whats going on with their xptminer, but definitely the profits are much better in ublock.

2x Intel Xeon E5-2670 @2.97Ghz 16 total cores / 32 threads

reipool.ovh reporting

My Hashrate with diff. 4

My Hashrate

4,751.07 KH/s

I am running 2 instances of xptminer with 15 threads each assigned and affinity set specifically to each instance.
The hashrates and in general the data provided by the pools no means reliable, because the calculations are adapted for other algorithms such as X11 and Scrypt.

The only correct control is xptMiner's 4ch/s value and xptMiner 2.2 is the absolute best. Seeing is believing  Cheesy

uBlock has very strange behaviors, see the hashrate swings in relation to the resolved blocks.....

To really test the profits you should mine with the same power at least 1 month continuous for each pool.

And then, redjedievolution, said among us it looks like you're mining with much more power on uBlock than you make available on RiePool.  Roll Eyes
I don't think it's the same mine with 40-50,000 KH/s as you did on RiePool and with 2-2,5 MH/s as we have noticed several times on uBlock..... Do two calculations.....  Roll Eyes

Someone seems to be mine very strong on ublock! If maybe he would move a bit of power even on other pools...

Anyway great Riecoin!  Cool

Hello.
Im mining with Dual Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1220 v3 @ 3.10GHz  Total 12 Cores 24 threads
Also mining with I7 7700K with 4 cores and 8 threads.

Dual Xeon around 3000 Khash
I7 around 2400 Khash

I think I7 is better
Thanks for sharing your mining data  Wink

Do you think mining performance is superior with an Intel Xeon or an i7 (both of the latest generation) with the same clock and L3 cache?

What do you think about AMD Ryzen 7?

Hi Guys, I am quite interested mine this coin. Just trying to understand how this works, generally I use to mine coins with Nvidia cards. What Algo I need to use to mine this coin, appreciate your support on this.

Hi, Riecoin uses a proprietary algorithm that works on constellations of prime numbers and uses the power of the CPU for working on block solution.

To start mine this coin, you can register on http://riepool.ovh and use xptMiner 2.2, the best software available today.

Miner download is available on RiePool's Homepage for both Linux and Windows systems.

Direct links: http://riepool.ovh/downloads/New_Linux64_xptminer.zip and http://riepool.ovh/downloads/New_Windows64_xptminer.zip

I also want to say im starting to mine in riepool.ovh.

Long life Riecoin!

EDIT: I added 50k hash. Wow my efficiency is 100%, zero orphans!

Riepool's closed source miner does not submit stale shares so it's impossible to have lower than 100% efficiency.
xptMiner 2.x send all shares, like the dga version. If you had tried it better...

Our stratum servers have been optimized to try to discard as few shares as possible  Wink
