1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RE-ANN] Dextro coin [DXO] ⭐ Pos/Masternodes ⭐ Masternode hosting platform on: November 15, 2018, 10:05:58 AM
btw, right now 9 additional coins are in the cue to be listed on the platform within the next few days

Hehe, it seems that the tweet from shitcoinhunter and RE-ANN was a great help not only to bring new investors but to also increase the number of masternode coins on the platform.

This is a great project that had a rocky start with a bad dev that launched the project and dumped the coin, But now this coin has a completely new dev TEAM that has been constantly updating the project. They have recently achieved full automation in both the payment process and masternode setup process and can proudly proclaim to be the cheapest masternode hosting service in the world, just 1 dollar each month for 1 masternode, you can even get a discount depending on how many masternodes you buy at once.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Perfect amount of coins for staking. on: July 27, 2018, 09:08:41 PM
Is there a perfect amount of coins to stake for any specific coin? i've heard some people say that there is a disadvantage to holding a large amount of coins in one wallet instead of holding many wallet with moderate amounts of coins.

Personally i don't think there is since the staking block reward is split between all the coins that are staking at any given moment, just want to get other peoples opinions on the matter.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / (KUCOIN.COM SCAM?) not getting KCS payments. on: January 26, 2018, 09:54:48 AM
I bought about 57 KCS (Kucoin Shares) 3 days ago, apparently they pay a daily dividence of 50% of all trading fees to the KCS holders.
But alas i have yet to be paid, should i sell my coins or wait another week and see if something happens.

What's the reputation for Kucoin on bitcointalk?

PS: i did contact support and they claim maintenence as the reason, but being a new member on Kucoin  i have no reference to suggest weather or not that's true or not, witch is why i ask the crypto community for input on the situation.
5  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Do you shut down your miners in a lightning storm? on: January 23, 2018, 10:58:26 AM
We just recently had a thunder storm here which made me wonder if I should unplug my miners in case of a lightning strike. Also sometimes the power will cut in and out. I’d imagine it’s probably not good for the miner if the power cuts in and out and it’s trying to reboot.

No i use surge protectors, but if you dont have surge protectors then it might be for the best to disconnect your miners from any outlets.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Question: how much wattag can i draw from my walls. on: January 22, 2018, 10:00:49 PM
For starters you are using the wrong terms which can be dangerous.

If you have an 11amp breaker for a circuit then you can draw 11amps X 230 Volts = 2530watts

That is for the ENTIRE circuit. You dont want to use the whole amount anyway as you will be tripping the breaker if the voltage varies for any reason. 80% is more than enough. So max safe draw would be 2000watts on the ENTIRE circuit.

Thanks for the response, i knew it was Volt and not watt i was just typing the text on my phone and accidentally swapped one for the other, and as you can see i did mention 80% so i did know about that, anyways, now i know i should not invest in Mining to heavily maybe just 2 rigs or something. Or hey, maybe i can rent space from a relative for a % of the profits mined.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Question: how much wattag can i draw from my walls. on: January 22, 2018, 01:50:05 PM
Ok, so i'm a complete noob when it comes to electricity and the such, i know you take your amp on the breaker box and multiply it with the watt you get from the wall. In my case it's 11 amp on the breaker box and 230 watt since that is standard in Sweden were i live.

Here is my question, is this number you get from calculating 11×230 the max watt for the entire apartment of just for each wall socket/outlet? I ask because 2530 watt or 80% of 2530 is not a lot to play aroung with and i'm wondering if mining is something i should not invest heavily in because of restrictions like these.

Thank you for your answer.
Helbrassen.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can underclocking damage the GPU? on: November 23, 2017, 08:40:04 PM
Answer is no you are underclocking it not overclocking meaning you are not pushing you hardware beyond its bounderies. Also what is the main reason that you want to underclock your GPU? For Science maybe?

in order to find the sweet spot for my GPUs when mining most of the time i need to undervolt the cards. Take a look at the images i've posted.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Can underclocking damage the GPU? on: November 13, 2017, 08:55:15 AM
I know, weird question, but i've recently been into underclocking my 1070s and 1070TIs to about 70% power limit and overclocking core clock +99 and memory clock +~800, anyways, will this damage the card to deprive it of power at the same time i increase the core clock and memory clock?

PS: yes it's stable, these new 1070 cards are amazing.
