The foundation has been working tremendously hard to attract quality talent to drastically speed up development and I can't express enough how excited I am to have the opportunity to dedicate significantly more time to Mastercoin. We have a great team working on the project and with a significant number of new hires coming on board too and getting involved the next few months should be an exciting time! My Mastercoin friends, Given all the competition we've seen in this field lately, I no longer feel I can afford to wait for a sky-high price I like before selling some Mastercoins and jumping into the fray full-time. (As you all know, I've never sold a single one of my own Mastercoins, and I've been persistently disdainful of the market price so far). I had a meeting with my tax advisor, and I'm going to have a HUGE tax bill due in April, so even if I wanted to wait longer, I cannot. So, I'm going to commence selling small amounts on the exchanges and see how it goes. Over the next few days, I will be placing small sell orders above the market price on various exchanges. I'm not in a hurry, and you won't see me dumping a lot of coins onto the bids or anything like that. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO PURCHASE A LARGE CHUNK OF MASTERCOINS WITHOUT MOVING THE MARKET, THIS IS YOUR CHANCE. Please PM me if you would like to get a large chunk of MSC around current market prices. For very large purchases (100 BTC+), I may consider selling slightly below market if you can convince me you are making a long-term investment. Several of you have reached out to me in the past asking to make large purchases of this sort, and I told you I wasn't selling. Now I am. Please don't PM me about small orders (< 5 BTC). You can easily buy those quantities on the exchanges if you like. I hope to sell 3-6% of my total MSC holdings (5000-10000 MSC). If there is a big buyer right now, I may do it sooner, otherwise it may be later in the year. If I haven't sold them by August 1st 2014, I'll sell more aggressively, as I will have held them for a year and I'll only have to pay long-term capital gain taxes. I believe very strongly in Mastercoin, but something like 99% of my personal net worth is currently in Mastercoin, and Ron has convinced me that I have to do SOME diversification, especially since that will allow me to quit my dayjob and throw myself headlong down this rabbit hole Thanks! -J.R. How is it legit? what about it is legit? If they had real plan and business idea, they would go through reputable sources.
They would have their act together and have everything ready before they came out.
They would have their business registered, website done, bank accounts, they would list the Law firm they are working with.
Anyone that does not have a Law firm with this kind of project is on the wrong path and is hiding something.
As a hedge fund manager, I know the signs of SCAMS.
This is a SCAM.

大力应该考虑移民，国内做比特币的应用已经名不正言不顺了，还不如找个支持比特币的国家做自己的事业，你也不是移不了。

提醒新人，看看发帖者在talk里面混迹的时间。另外，个人觉得个人挖矿已经不适合了，现在和未来都是公司化的集群挖矿，买矿机就是一个坑，除非你指望比特币涨到天上，用法币衡量，你才能出坑。
新人刚玩比特币，建议多学习，多上巴比特，比特人等网站看看，多花点时间学习，少交点学费。

The MasterCoin has been very hot topic recently in China.
Please allow me introduce Mr. really Lee to you guys.
Really has translated the Mastercoin's white paper into Chinese version, he is running a Mastercoin community via QQ group with 65 members now. (Chines skype)
He told me that there are some Chinese are willing to purchase the Mastercoins, but they have no idea how to buy from second market, and they do not know
how to involve in the project development.....
IMHO: That will be great if you guys invite some Chinese into your group/foundation, help promote and protect Mastercoin project in China.
Anything I could be in assistance, please let me.

That might be a good starting point for someone who wants to get involved, especially if they speak enough English to work with our developers making English sites. Note that someone who creates such a site will probably be eligible for some payment from our coding contest ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=292628.240). The potential Chinese buyers may want to pool their money and choose an English-speaking representative to make the purchase on their behalf on the ad-hoc exchange MaxMint is running ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=287145.0), then distribute the coins purchased to the people who contributed. 第一篇 新生 这是比特币世界最黑暗的一天，但也是最光明的一天。联合国192个会员国通过投票以微弱多数（97票赞同，95票反对【规则规定不允许弃权】）通过了共同禁止比特币流通的协定，在这192个国家从事与比特币相关的任何活动将被视为非法，将受到相关法律制裁。详细的法律将根据各国的情况，自主拟定。人们不禁要问，剩下的唯一一个会员国干嘛去了？对的，德国在同一天略早的时候宣布退出联合国，并宣布退出欧元区，而且确定将比特币作为该国的通用货币（非法定货币，德国联邦政府将货币发行权还给了德国人民，联邦政府只保留了货币监管权）。这一天，让无数的bitcoiner黯然神伤，也让无数的Bitcoiner喜出望外。对于那95个投反对票的国家，未来是很无奈的，明明支持比特币，还非得干死比特币，多分裂的国格啊。民主有那么好么？51%蹂躏49%？
巴比特驻德国记者阿暴第一时间在巴比特上发布了对此事的中文报道，并有幸采访了德国总理默克尔。以下是采访内容：
阿暴：作为一个资深Bitcoiner，我为德国做出这个决定感到无比激动。我想问的是德国全国达成支持比特币为通用货币并废弃欧元的决定，德国花费了多少时间？
默克尔：这是德国人民的选择，我们是到了将货币发行权还给人民的时候了。这个过程很艰难，你知道的，每个人的身份、地位、知识层次和看法都不一样。德国人民能取得这个历史性的妥协与进步，我作为德国总理倍感欣慰。德国联邦政府从2011年就开始学习了解比特币，并在2013年确认了比特币的私人货币地位，能在2015年的今天取得这一个结果，坦白说，也是被逼的。因为那192个国家要抛弃这个时代的诺亚方舟，打算继续跟着美元葬身海底。德国和比特币不愿意做美元和美国的陪葬。

阿暴：德国的所有人民都支持比特币么？难道没有人怀恋过去的秩序？
默克尔：不可能所有人都支持一个理念的，你知道，德国不是北朝鲜，德国民众有充分的信仰自由。德国联邦政府决定的是将货币发行权还给民众自己，民众自己会选择比特币、德国马克、欧元还是其他货币，那都是民众的自由，比特币只是通用货币的一种，其他货币也是德国法律认可的。德国央行并没有解散，它将成为德国马克（纸币）的一个公司，参与到与比特币及其他货币的竞争中。
阿暴：那德国岂不是各种货币通用，如何解决汇率和计价问题呢？计价标准总得有一个吧？
默克尔：我们正在考虑这个问题，目前初步的想法是以比特币作为全国通用计价标准，如果你采用其他货币交易，需要按照及时汇率进行换算。我们会开放汇兑市场，任何地方，任何公司或个人只要你有足够的技术能力，都可以办交易平台，给民众一个非常便捷的货币兑换系统。下阶段我们打算引入Ripple支付系统，目前正在洽谈中。德国政府对外贸易也将选择对方国家接受的货币进行，不过他们都坚定的反对比特币了，似乎只能用德国马克通过欧元来建立与世界的联系了，这个我们将组织专家讨论并拟定方案。
阿暴：德国欢迎其他国家的Bitcoiner来德国么？德国的移民政策会相应调整么？

阿暴坐在即将从柏林飞往上海的航班上，在将手机切换成飞行模式前，他看了一眼比特币的汇率，1BTC=1024德国马克=10240人民币，他知道到中国后就不容易看到了。长时间的飞行，阿暴疲惫不堪，他做了个噩梦，梦里，他到处找他的一个比特币纸钱包，怎么也找不到。他哭了。直到漂亮的空姐过来问他：先生你怎么了？他才慢慢醒过来，发现脸颊上的泪水，脸红成了猴子屁股。掩面扭头擦泪水，一边使劲说着：没事没事，蚊子掉眼睛里了。这蚊子也太不小心了，明显飞行技术不过关啊。
阿暴下飞机后，过安检的时候，被要求打开手机，安检人员删除了他手机上所有与比特币相关的应用。阿暴早有准备，并未在手机钱包里放任何比特币。阿暴到家后，老婆已经睡了。他立马打开电脑，开启BitID系统（原理与bitmessage一样，但是功能更强大），朋友们正在激烈的讨论着前几天发生的比特币大事件。QQ和新浪微博以及其他所有资讯平台上再也找不到任何关于比特币的信息，仿佛它从未发生过一样。阿暴抱着电脑小心翼翼地来到了卫生间，坐在马桶上，开始和大家讨论起来。大家见到阿暴都来问如何申请去德国的事情。比特币在中国已经一文不值了，没有商家敢接收比特币，因为被告发了的话，就惨了。在德国比特币却是最值钱的硬通货，这狠狠给普世价值扇了一耳光。什么同一个地球，同一个家园，扯蛋。没有天堂，你哪儿知道什么是地狱啊。
阿暴介绍了移民德国的一些情况后，巴比特大部分成员都去德国移民局的官网上提交了申请，只有老端、大猫和不欢坚持留在中国。老端说，德国妞长得丑不邋叽的，东西又不好吃，我还是留中国好了，等你们落下脚，我过去玩玩。大猫说，国人的经济学素养太低，我得留下为提高国人的经济学素养而奋斗，有时间我也会去看你们的。不欢说，我老了，年轻人，你们使劲折腾吧，我会关注你们的。中国一大批Bitcoiner通过了德国移民局的审查，包括著名的比特币投资家李哭来。联合国决议后，他一度消失了。直到有一天阿暴在德国移民局的官网上发现了他的申请。中国的Bitcoiner是分批离开中国的，为了不引起当局的注意，他们三两为伍离开了生他养他的祖国。在机场，他们抱着亲人痛哭，这一别，不知道还能再见不。德国的移民政策是被他们选中的Bitcoiner可以携带全家，包括父母，老婆，儿女一起移民，可是很多人的父母不愿意离开这片生他养他的土地。哎，悲欢离合，总是难免的。
