adaseb, you can have more information on the first Bitcoin exchange with my topic.

Do you know a first Bitcoin exchange? What is it, How it looks like?

Early trades of Bitcoin are funny and very classic, bitcoins for pizza, honey pots, and more.

theymos used to trade his bitcoins with very low prices.

13 years ago Theymos sold 160btc at $0.003 per 1, lowest price ever recorded

thanks interesting, I wonder in which block theymos was selling, because on his public address the first transaction was 07/25/2010 https://www.blockchain.com/ru/explorer/addresses/btc/1NXYoJ5xU91Jp83XfVMHwwTUyZFK64BoAD

Reposting this so people can see your photos since you are a newbie account.

It’s interesting research you did. I also heard that the Liberty was the first bitcoin exchange and pretty crazy how someone bought 5050 BTC for only $5.

It’s also interesting how this exchange launched in 2009, didn’t think it existed that early. At the time there was maybe only like a few thousand people who used bitcoin.

tnx !=)

Where will the eBook be released, once it is finished? This is obviously not going to be a FREE book.. right?

I have read some of it and I am looking forward to seeing the end product. Good luck... hope everything goes well with the final release.

It will be released on Amazon in September 2024 as a paperback, hardcover and ebook.

I know its a big thing to first considers the cost of running a thing from the beginning and along the way, we may have to go more longer than we already planned for from the initial, writing a book demands time, drains money and requires more of intellectual knowledge to continue the use of pen to write something down, i see this already turning a success soon because what has a beginning will surely have a finishing end.

Thank you for your opinion. I appreciate it.

There are only about 4 months until the 'The Bitcoin History Book 2008-2024' is self-published on Amazon (12th September 2024) as a hardcover, paperback and ebook.  I am fairly confident that I have ample resources and time to meet this personal deadline, but it feels like it is becoming more of a challenge as the weeks go by.  I have completed pages covering 2008-2019, nearly completed 2020, and have yet to spend sufficient time on 2021, 2022, 2023 and Jan-Jun 2024.

Original Bitcointalk thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5475400.0

Here is a preview showing chapters 2008 to 2016 (originally posted on 31/03/2024 for the community to read):

I am wholeheartedly determined to complete the book on time without sacrificing quality and content.  If you can, please donate to the book:

Anyone who donates at least US$10 will have their name/alias in the book (please dm me if you do). Just over 10 already have their name listed!

I look forward to support from the community who can help give me ample time to complete the 300 page A4 colour interior book.  As far as I know, nothing similar to this has been put together, and I feel it will be a great resource for newbies and OGs alike.

Currently putting together 'The Bitcoin History Book' 2008-2024 chapter covering 2020 milestones:

I think I'll still on course to complete the book by September 2024.  It seems that the next four months are going to be challenging due to limited time and financial resources.

If you don't know, you can have your name/alias listed in the book for at least US$10 (see donation addresses in OP).  Over ten have already been listed, thank you.

I know you have mentioned that you plan to write the book to cover up until the 2024 period and will release in September this year. Given that you originally started writing this book a few years ago, I imagine the "final year" to be included in the book has actually slowly increased. Do you think that once you publish the book in 2024, you will make continual annual.updates?

No plans yet to release annual updates.

Fair enough it's a very significant contribution of time. For your online printed release via Amazon, have you considered collaborating with any others from a marketing and advertising perspective to bring more attention to the book?

I will see how things progress. There have been time and money constraints of me over the last couple of years. I do not think I've ate sufficiently either. My life has not been a bed of roses.

If anyone likes to help, it is highly appreciated.

Please support the book if you can.  There is only myself who has spent over one year writing it.

I messaged him without a reply yet.

Completed pages 50-225 (out of 300). Currently working on 2020 Bitcoin history pages.

Have you asked Theymos?  Most people here donated to him, expecting him to support bitcoin projects like he said.

Great news!

I'm still making constructive progress.  Currently I'm completing chapter 2019, which I hope will be finished within the next week.

I do agree that it looks like we are seeing something monumental, a great work and a lot of effort must have gone into this. I think it is quite entertaining that we have an almanac on what is going on and I think it is quite important to see how you could profit from it as well. I believe that the best thing to go with right now would be just focusing on not just payment (which I agree you deserve all the money in the world for putting this much effort) but also getting some help.

If money is too hard to come by, spending all your time makes no sense, if you are getting paid a lot then it is fine but if you are not getting paid a lot (which I think you are not) then at least getting free help is better, ask for research help from people, they would spend their time but not their money, would be easier.

I thought that the community would have shown more generosity considering I posted 128 pages for free (covering 2008 to 2016).  I'm currently focused on 2019 summer Bitcoin historical material.

There is only 5 months for community members to have their name/alias in the book.  It will be self-published in September 2024, before Christmas 2024 of course!!!
