What are you talking about? I have sent the cards. My apologies if they haven't arrived yet, but I can't help that. I also told you that in PM. I don't know those other addresses, what makes you think they are mine?

Hello,
I'm looking for a 2.5BTC loan due to real life money shortage. Since I receive my paycheck at 19 (sometimes 20)/11/2013 I will be able to pay back at that date with no problem. With a 10% return that would come down to a 2.75BTC pay back.
As I know I haven't built a decent reputation on here yet, I will ofcourse provide my ID.
Sincerely

That's your own fault then, heh!
Not really. The energy only come back 24 points in a day, but there is so much stuff that can be done in that time.. I ment it's your own fault that you only built a goldmine haha. But yes I agree, there's more you can do than you have energy for.
|
|
|
Well if you play it for a while without investing anything you should be able to get a decent weekly amount. The energy lack is annoying though.
True, but if you manage your energy well enough it shouldn't be a problem Instead of building lots of production buildings, you should upgrade existing ones. Saves a lot in energy. Well duh. I haven't built anything but a goldmine. My current energy is 0 >.< That's your own fault then, heh!

Well, it's up to you guys if you want to try it out. I know I'm playing it seriously and aside from the possibility to make money, the game is quite fun I shared your suspicion at the start, but after reading up on the site and reviews I'm all enthusiastic Okey, explain in a short sentence where the real gold the players can earn comes from, please. Who pays for it and why. Tried to find something about that and is - as expected - all fluff. But you as enthusiast are surely able to tell as , right? You can pay real money to gain things like more money, a bigger army and other things. You can also invest in town shares, materials etcetera. Since the game has a set amount of gold backed up, and they don't back up more and more gold each time, they make a profit from this. Hey guys, Thanks to Dantefortal I found the game Goldentowns. This is a game where you control and organise a village. The great part if that you can earn actual gold/money with it. In contrary to sites where you click banners or so for money, where you need months to earn a decent profit, this will net you a profit quite quick! Ofcourse you shouldn't expect hundreds of euro's/month in the beginning (unless you start to get really good), but with an hour a day you can earn quite a nice profit each week/month. If you'd like to check it out and learn more, check out the site of Golden Towns. If you're going to register it would be great if you use my referall link. That will benefit both of us. Ofcourse you can also use dantes. Referall link: www.goldentowns.com (You should do this, both of us earn quicker and I can send you bonds etc). Normal link if you don't link referall for some reason: goldentowns.com Cheers! Can you please elaborate how much I can earn from this? So far all games only earn few penny after few months... It obviously depends on how much you play and what you do. There are people earning just a few dollars a week, but also people earning $20-50 a week. I'm talking about people that don't invest theirselves right now. Don't expect that amount in the first few weeks though, but I assume you understand that ^^. Referall link: goldentowns.com (You should do this, both of us earn quicker and I can send you bonds etc). Normal link if you don't link referall for some reason: goldentowns.com
Just a hint, you are allowed refeall links in your signature only. You have no signature, so why not put it there. Also how much gold can you get if you never put dime in the game? But only your time. I thought as long as you also add the normal link it is allowed? Added it in my sig as well though, thanks for the suggestion.

I'm still kinda suspicious. It sounds to good to be true. Earning real gold by playing a relatively small game.
And most times when it sounds to good to be true, it is just that. Well, it's up to you guys if you want to try it out. I know I'm playing it seriously and aside from the possibility to make money, the game is quite fun I shared your suspicion at the start, but after reading up on the site and reviews I'm all enthusiastic

suspicious, be careful
How do they make the money to pay out players? This doesn't seem to have anything do to with Bitcoins.
They are planning to implent Bitcoins, should've mentioned that, but indeed it's not there yet. You can pay to play the game more intensively, which is how they make their money. You should read their explanation of the game and the system, it's actually quite interesting!

I assume that playing this game without really investing yourself isn't worthwhile for earnings?
If you get an extra hundred or two a month, why not? Well, that's my question. Are the earnings worth it? I doubt you can earn a hundred or two/month without investing. The top player there started only 2 months ago and he sold in last 30 days 1 700 virtual gold coins for 6 800 Euros. Yes, my bad, didn't see it! Since I found this thread I've been looking up everything about it, actually investing as well. Very interesting!

Even though the video has their facts right, it should be noted that he his exaggerating greatly: yes, the money is created this way. But don't forget there are -many- laws created to counter this. I won't ever say this is enough, and that it is a fair system, but the effect the video describes is smaller than it might seem from the video.
People on earth are all, knowingly or not, "agreeing" with this system by living in the community. If you don't want it, no matter how stupid it sounds, you have to move to somewhere with no government that uses no IOUs or taxes.
Before the flames: I'm not saying I agree on the current monetary system, I'm just making sure people don't interpret it wrongly.
You're right, there are many laws that govern the creation of currency in the US, but I think if you have zero background in finance, this video is awesome in explaining the big picture on how it's created, you know? That's true, it's great info for people less informed on economics, but I thought it would be a good thing to make this clear In the video the system is called a "lie" and a "scam", but it's not. I agree that the system is sneaky, under-the-belt and unfair, but it's neither a lie or a scam. Most people don't understand the system and yes, if they did they wouldn't agree. However, the system is created to be able to trade easily without having to take your horse to the market and trading it for some food. In my opinion there have been made an extremely big amount of mistakes and wrong choices by the government for personal interest, but without that, the system would be a very good system. It's not the system that's wrong, it's the people trying to achieve personal gains with it. Only, there is a "lie" and there is a "scam." One such lie being inherent in the concept of unpayable debt, because, of course, an IOU is a promise to pay someone a specific amount, and when that IOU is inherently unpayable you are lying. The scam, of course, is fractional reserve banking with a M0 of effectively 0. True, but that's not really what I'm trying to say. I'm saying the system itself isn't a scam or a lie. You are right about the unpayable debt, but that the debts are unpayable isn't the fault of the system: it's the fault of the banks abusing the system to create more money for themselves (=> people trying to achieve personal gains). About the scam part, I think it's quite discussable what you want to call the fractional reserve banking amount, but it's a result of, once again, the people going for personal gain. Now, it's in a humans nature to do everything for personal gain, so I won't say I'm surprised by it. A bank is a commercial enterprise with just 1 goal: profit. So it's obvious they'll do anything for personal gain. It's the stupid decision of the people (government="the people") to let banks regulate the financial sector on earth. So all by all, it's not a lie in my eyes: it's just a few people playing the game extremely smart, and a lot of people being blatantly stupid. The ones playing it smart (the banks) are open and quite transparant about it, people just don't understand it. I repeat, it's sneaky, under-the-belt and mean, but not a lie.

Debt-based money is unsustainable because it requires an exponential growth of the money supply: when money is debt, paying interest on this debt requires creating more money, hence more debt. The thing is, the system didn't have to be debt-based in the way it is now. That's one of the things he actually explains in the video.

I keep getting a message that I cannot post due to posting within last 360 seconds. If this is permanent , I plan to quit this forums. Is it only for newbs ? That would make more sense. If so , how much more activity do I need to be able to post more often .
Well, since your Member now it should be 62 secounds per post so enjoy The limit should be 74 seconds, according to the following post. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=253190.msg2702160#msg2702160I've adjusted the limits to make spamming more difficult. Activity | Min. seconds between post actions | Max PM recipients | PMs per hour | 0 | 360 | 3 | 5 | 16 | 74 | 5 | 30 | 30 | 60 | 5 | 60 | 60 | 30 | 5 | 60 | 100 | 12 | 10 | 120 | 200 | 10 | 15 | 120 | 300 | 8 | 20 | 120 |
Is there a post somewhere, explaining how the activity works? That's what I'm wondering as well. My activity is higher than my post count, what creates the difference?

You really want a full explanation on economics here ^^? Go read up a paper, that'll do more good. Bitcoins are just another currency, so (most of the) general economic laws are in effect here.

It's designed to remove the need to put all your trust in banks and governments. People never started using Bitcoins thinking they can just freely send it around in trades and never get scammed. Something has to be there to encourage trading with the right person. In this case, scammer and trust ratings. I think it's a good idea.
