This rig "was" a clean install - however steps were:
- Clean Windows 10 v1709
- Windows Update to 26 Feb 2018
- Disabled Windows Update Services
- Did not put system into Metered Mode
- Connected 1-6 GPU
- Didnt see how many Display Adapters were detected
- Installed AMD Drivers
- ... here I am!!!
In the past when setting up Windows I never had issues doing Windows Updates and never had any other issues as I would simply disable the Windows Update services which disables most updates. Nonetheless, Im going to setup an EthOS USB and just do a simple run and see if that detects the 6 GPU - if that does detect 6, then yes its a Wonderful Windows Update issue yet again wasting my time. Will keep this thread posted just in case anyone else have a similar issue.

Did a DDU and it appears only 5 devices are detected. I think I have a faulty Mobo IMO!

Power Supply- 2400 Watt 92% Server PSU 240V
- 4 Separate Rails with each rail having 2 GPU and 2 Riser
- Assume 140W p/GPU - definitely below 50%
Risers & Cables- Checked and all Replaced
- Swapped and Re-Seated all GPU
- Tried with 3 GPU in different positions and PCIe slots - no difference
Windows- Only tried Windows 10 v1709
- I had tried 2 months ago on a different rig without issues
- 60GB Virtual RAM
AMD Drivers- Only tried 18.2.3 on this rig
- Downloading - DDU - Installing v17.11.4
MOBO BIOS Settings- 4G Enabled
- Gen 2 for PCIE
- Fast Boot Disabled
Also note all GPU has stock BIOS so atikmdag-patcher-1.4.6 wouldn't be useful. I do not know if its Windows as I only use Windows to Update and test settings - not actually a live rig. I have setup Windows in past with 6-8 GPU no issues which is why its annoying me and also on the same board. Anyways - DDU and installing 17.11.4 currently... see how this turns out!

Has anyone had any issues with Windows 10 v1709 with AMD Adrenalin 18.2.3 detecting 1 less GPU?
I have tried 3-6 GPUs and it didnt matter what order, there is always 1 GPU not detected - ie. not even in Device Manager saying invalid driver or faulty, just nothing!
Yes I have done DDU several times without success and no I have not tried 2 GPU.
I will try with EthOS tonight/tomorrow and see if that can detect 6, however thought I'd ask before I try a different OS.

Hi, just wanted to add my IP as a Masternode for lite wallets in Melbourne Australia: 158.140.206.99

Just confirming you need to update to 1.2.6 or manually install Claymore-XMR to mine cryptonight to Nicehash. SGMiner will not work on EthOS to Nicehash currently that I am aware of.

Ergh didnt realise I got replies!!! Well even if you include electroneum.space as of today, there is still a large gap of "unknown" pools really. I cant seem to really guage what the networks are thanks to the many lovely DOS providers - can you DOS BTC so that supply decreases and my BTC goes up!!!

Can someone please explain what I seem to be missing? According to various Mining Pool, the NETWORK HASH RATE is about 140 MH/s. Now, from what I understand, the various pools I am aware of: - 1 MH/s - eupool.electroneum.com
- 1 MH/s - uspool.electroneum.com
- 1 MH/s - asiapool.electroneum.com
- 20+ MH/s - electroneum.hashparty.io
- 20+ MH/s - eu2.electromine.fr
- 20 MH/s - other Large pools >1 MH/s
- 1 MH/s - other Small pools <1 MH/s
- 50+ MH/s Server
I am making a very large assumption with the pools hash rate above as they are always changing, but where the hell is the remaining pools hiding - is this part of a ghost network that the devs maintain or how does it work?

Recently NiceHash really have any problems. You need to try to switch the pool. I have a long time to do Europe. I switched to the US and the problems disappeared. Today there were problems on all pools but it lasted about 1 hour. Maybe it was due to problems on their server. Now everything works without problems.
I have been having this issue over the last 3 days. I have tried USA, EU, HK, JP pools and all are the same for me. Same issue here. Ethos shows my hash at 4545 and NiceHash shows it as 0 kH/s. The odd part however, is that my payout projection went up by exactly what I would have expected based on WhatToMine. My local.conf settings below:
Sounds like maybe this is a known issue? I've sent in a support ticket to NiceHash. Anyone else figured out a solve for this?
With me, my project went down accordingly to that rig failing. I have reported to Nicehash yesterday, however still no reply. Is EthOS same as ETH0?
EthOS is an Ubuntu-based OS specifcally for Ethereum mining - however can be used to mine altcoins with little support IMO and FAQ outside of Ethereum. Eth0 (Ethernet Zero) I am assuming is what you are referring to is a NIC Interface.

From what I knew, CCMiner was for nVidia primarily - however if you can advise on the settings I will definitely give it a try as EthOS doesnt give much example for CCMiner or its config. The settings is actually 2 parts, the top part being the local.conf and the second being the sgminer-gm-xmr.stub.conf file. However I have tried not setting anything in either the local or the sgminer and it didnt make any difference! BTW I have AMD 580 on the rig if that makes any difference. I added the tag #xnsub and the miner didnt start even after 5 mins. However I didnt mention NiceHash recognises the rig however hashing is 0.

Is anyone using EthOS able to mine Cruptonight on Nicehash pool? I have 2 small rigs and want to mine NiceHas Cryptonight pool, however running into lots of issues.
I can start the miner - appears to work ok on the miner, however Nicehash is not registering the rig?
I can mine other Cryptonight AltCoins like Sumo and KRB without issues, just cant mine NiceHash pool.
Anyone willing to share their secret or the switch Im missing?
EDIT: Here is my config:
globalminer sgminer-gm-xmr sgminer-gm-xmr=proxypool1 "stratum+tcp://cryptonight.usa.nicehash.com:3355" sgminer-gm-xmr=proxypool2 "stratum+tcp://cryptonight.hk.nicehash.com:3355" sgminer-gm-xmr=poolpass1 "x" sgminer-gm-xmr=poolpass2 "x" sgminer-gm-xmr=proxywallet "wallet.rig"
