Variance is get wider, bad lucky is getting longer too. The shelved share is not going to be paid soon or ever, being a LIFO. While u are waiting for good luck... the difficulty has changed.

Just an advise to newbies, with the pool low hashrate and rising difficulty it is now time to say good bye to your green graph.
8  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: IS GHASH.IO Cheating Miners? Paying LESS THAN 50% of expected? on: August 26, 2014, 07:08:19 AM
Paying all blocks are important, but is a small issue. These two unpaid blocks are just the one found out by user.

Another problem - not necessarily is cheating but need to be evaluated too.

Cex.io miners shared ghash.io pool with many other, unknown miners. With more non-cex miners are added to pool, the income of cex miners get into 'negative' value with the maintenance fee. Basically being robbed by fellows in the pool.

Non-cex miners in ghash.io got zero % fee.

After the fiasco yesterday, total ghash.io hash rate has dropped suddenly and income of cex.io miners has recovered but how long? Will someone add back the 10PHs and then income get back to negatives again? I think it will come back to 56Phs again.

not defending cex.io, just wanted to link this for anyone missing info on cex.io+ghash.io.

10  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Any suggestions for how I can heat my office - its starting to get a bit chilly on: November 17, 2013, 11:25:11 AM
Quite sure that only GPU mining can be use as space heater. Dual 7990 GPU would do the job... ASICs produce too little heat. Do you have 1200 watt to spare?

13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Tax on: June 21, 2013, 08:35:12 AM
Great, but I am not arguing if we shld be tax or not or how to it is done.

I am interested in knowing if the fact that bitcoin tax is being impose lend weight to bitcoin as legitimate currency for anyone or not.

I'm sure there are some people questioning/ridicule your bitcoin 'investments' but will this stop if they know taxes are actually being paid for it? This should also affect the see-saw btc price level.

To me, this have separated bitcoins from other e-currency, fun-fair tokens, see shells, Smiley

I know, no one like taxes.

15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: GPU options: single 7950 or 2x7850 on: June 21, 2013, 01:51:56 AM
Checked with friend's rigs. It looked like heat output is greater in 2x7850 than a single 7950. But a single 7950 has slightly lower hrate.

~660MHS vs ~580MHS
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Tax on: June 21, 2013, 01:42:57 AM
What is better than goverment taxing bitcoin transaction? Is not this equal to giving recognition of certain value to bitcoin itself as a currency? Just want to state I would be willing to be tax for bitcoin earning (if I do earn anything in future). But it may also mean goverment will get 20%(rough estimate) of our mined bitcoins?

19  Other / Beginners & Help / GPU options: single 7950 or 2x7850 on: June 10, 2013, 01:26:23 AM
Have anyone measured the power consumption for both GPU? Is single 7950 better than 2x7850 in terms of efficiency (MHS/watt)?

Edit: Two 7850s would have much higher number of processing core than a 7950.
