1  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Paypal accept bitcoin on: November 12, 2017, 05:30:36 PM
Paypal is the direct competitor of Bitcoin so not a chance in hell. Bitcoin is designed to be peer-to-peer effectively making PayPal services absolutely redundant if it became mainstream.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost 80% of my bitcoins in alts, What can I do now?! on: November 11, 2017, 11:55:02 AM
There are always going to be dips but as history this year has shown that there will be big growth through the altcoin community. Stats don't lie. Be patient, they will recover. They always do. Just make sure you diversify as much as possible.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: November 11, 2017, 10:43:51 AM
Consider the stability of Ethereum, so I would stick with that.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to mine Bitcoin Gold? on: November 10, 2017, 03:07:26 PM
because of Equihash its the same way as zcash and his friends.

testnet is already life.

 Shocked

Intrigued to know how the testnet is running. Smoothy? Any glitches etc?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Raiden Network is very bullish at the end of November. on: November 09, 2017, 10:54:49 PM
This is a big bullish trend if I ever saw one.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you buying altcoins on: November 09, 2017, 01:59:24 PM
ICOs are good providing the time between investing and release of coins is minimal, some ICOs are too long between investment and release. It always is a bit skeptical when they release them to long. Testing or not.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Gold Mining on: November 09, 2017, 12:54:32 PM
still testnet for mining?

testnet until 2018, perhaps main-net in 2019, but never mind exchanges will run the ICO to the moon

nobody cares about software anymore, BITCOIN-GOLD can run as a futures-coin to $1Million USD

Test net for a year? Surely not?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Ethermine ETH Pool (biggest ETH pool) down last 4h on: November 09, 2017, 11:44:31 AM
Lots of pools and servers have been down today due to power problem on a EU server.
Try switching your pool proxy from eu1. to us1. for the time being. That should sort it.

My rigs are all sorted now on the EU servers. Ethermine, Nanopool and Minerpool. Maybe double check yours.

Did we ever get a definite limit supply?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NiceHash Miner - easy-to-use best-profit multi-device cryptocurrency miner on: November 09, 2017, 09:47:41 AM
Hello, nice hash software is a very good soft despite all that I can hear.Fait you your own opinion.By cons it consumes much more electricity than claymore optimized .750w 6 cards (claymore) 1050 w 6 cards nicehash: ( have a nice day

1050/750 = 40% increase in power required.
If what you're saying is correct then unless you're hashrate has increased by 40% it is not worth the switch.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: What just happened with many pools? on: November 09, 2017, 09:41:14 AM
ethermine
minerpool
minershq
nanopool

all fine again.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: What just happened with many pools? on: November 09, 2017, 09:34:35 AM
Websites are up and running again, check your pools, they should be too.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: What just happened with many pools? on: November 09, 2017, 09:13:10 AM
Gen 1 is back up, need Gen 2 also for it to work.
So many websites and servers are still down.

nothing is back up for me... wondering what kind of gen(erator) they're using...

Wouldn't surprise me!

If anyone is using ethermine pools, change you pool directories from eu1. to us1. It will be fine for the time being! Just changed mine.

15  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: What to do for Nov 2017 hard fork. on: November 08, 2017, 10:49:48 PM
The genuine hard fork that it is suggests I am going to back up everything on a secure cloud and hardware.
Taking no chances. I suggest you do the same.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASIC vs GPU on: November 08, 2017, 10:06:01 PM
Use www.Whattomine.com to compare your budgets for GPU and ASIC.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can't get past 8 GPU's ETH on: November 08, 2017, 09:50:20 PM
Z170A mobos are known to not do well with high numbers of GPUs.
Increase the ram, increase the PSU W and switch over to Linux.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: November 08, 2017, 07:13:33 PM
Why has Claymore's 10.1 not been added yet?

Probably needs confirming it is compatible perhaps?
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which coin Can I mine with normal laptop on: November 08, 2017, 04:26:17 PM
Don't mine on laptop, Save the money you would spent on the electricity bills that would of mined and attained peanuts on actual coins from the exchange.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How bad is breathing in air from GPU's? on: November 08, 2017, 04:03:15 PM
If you live in a city, the air outside is way more toxic than any mining rigs. All your rigs are doing is circulating and heating up the air already in your rooms, dust may heat up too but you breathe that in every time so.

Don't worry about it! As long you're not got a breathing aide connected to the rigs I think you'll be fine. Just remember to open the windows and let some fresh air in from time to time.
