Slayer I know your probably busy but can u fix the background of messaging. You have to highlight the background to see the chat. Love the setup though, great for vendor communications.

Lol keeps it hidden, like invisable ink Grin

Hi Dev!

Can you publish linux 64bit wallet? I tried to compile, but get too many errors! Thanks!

+1 and push encrypted messaging update to bitbucket repo please. Should be open source if you want trust.

Pushing latest source to repo soon.

Yes the entire project is open source so nps.

Going to make a GUI improvement to the message system once market is out but for now it's fully functional.

Thanks Dev

Heres is some security footage of another alt-coin holder realizing they need to dump their garbage coins and go pickup some SLING

hahaha

Somebody recommended that I buy this coin because it's supposed to hit 500K sats min once the marketplace releases and then it will keep rising with use.

In before the crowd.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Quantum Computers in the News on: April 30, 2015, 01:50:21 PM
The quantum computers aren't here yet, although times are quickly changing in modern society.
How about SHA2560?  Cheesy

lol.. theoretically no ammount of hashing / encryption could stand up against a pure quantum computer from the future

There are lots of people with lots of trust and trade requires trust so it is really just a matter of who to trust.

You can only trust to Escrow with as much Bitcoins as it is not likely (economical) for the Escrow to scam you instead (and just the Escrow risking loosing trust)

But some trades might require more trust than any Escrow can provide, no?

Money Power In You
E.C Riegel, Private Enterprise Money, 1944

Maybe because he was wrong in this:

they can neither help nor hinder our natural right to extend credit to each other, and this is the perfect basis for a money system.

You need a lot of trust to issue credit to others, or your credit is worth nothing.

Amen. It seems Riegel got inspired by Satoshi whitepaper
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2,300 billionaires, each holding $600m of cash on average on: September 24, 2014, 11:40:54 PM
Hoarding cash is pretty stupid in my opinion, it can be hyperinflated very quickly...
seems the average $600m is just amount for few month of expences for the billionaires instead Smiley

13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some one is sending me BTC 0.00000001 , Why? on: September 24, 2014, 11:13:15 PM
I got the spam 0.0001 BTC from one of the ponzi service recently, much better than the one satoshi I got as well the other day. It is just advertisement spam, at least I used the 0.0001 for a fee already.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin alternative on: July 16, 2014, 10:58:18 PM
I read about bitcoin ecological system. That system, in my opinion, isn't ecological. With not so many miners that system can to work, and we can to ignore loss energy, but with many miners, we can't to ignore it.
Do someone can make a new more ecological bitcoin alternative, or that system already done??

Proof of Stake is ecological, but unfortunatelly not secure.
Proof of Work is best option imo and every improvenment in J/GHs is helping ecology.
15  Economy / Speculation / Re: Less than 1 in 7000 people in the world own at least 0.01 BTC! on: July 16, 2014, 10:31:58 PM
The bigger problem is that 1% holds 99% of all BTC so they have too much power. Its the same like with FIAT.
This is not a problem.

How it isn't? If they have the same evil intentions as the big FIAT holders of today, we are still screwed. Of course they couldn't (in principle) modify the way Bitcoin works, or could they? (by bribing the developers or whatever). There's also the posibility that big FIAT holders with evil intentions bribe the big BTC stakeholders for more FIAT, power, influence etc.

Still a lot of Bitcoins has to be mined so the wealth will be spread more evenly with time. And some early adopters big address balances are very likely lost, so cant be used anymore...

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Verticoin on Cryptsy? on: February 06, 2014, 10:50:49 PM
deposit not showing. i think cryptsy took deposit down to sell own coins and my deposit will show up (180 confirms now) when price is lower again. Or am i the only one who can't deposit?

i think they did: hold up deposit first 30mins or so, before that selling 20 minutes own coins only. then letting everybody in who deposited aleady, then shutting down deposit again to ride the wave out themselves.

not happy to have my gains taken by them. why would they add a coin when wallet is not working from first hour? this is an intended deposit-bug on vtc today i think.

price is nearly 40% higher on cryptsy like on coinedup. they make buyers buy higher and sellers miss out. so only cryptsy wins.

This. I was planning to sell 20% of my VTC when it hits cryptsy and they lose my deposit in a limbo with no explanation for 12+ hours, so I missed the 0.012+ window, when the prize plummets then my deposit shows up. Downright shady and criminal. Well, did lose only ~$500 profit but that's no small amount in the real world and people are getting sued for less.

I waited for deposit as well so I guess most missed this
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OPEN YOUR EYES - all these devs are saying the same shit to get you mining on: January 06, 2014, 11:53:40 PM

19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to start out with no Bitcoins on: December 29, 2013, 12:39:18 AM
The mining devices cost a lot now, I guess later next year the prices will be much more affordable.
