1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal X10 Multialgo Miner (Non-official Support Thread) on: January 06, 2018, 06:10:04 PM

Igo i noticed you have two "sick" miner as well shown on baikal monitor because of the lower hashrate.
One of my devices hashboard, BKLU ID:0 has only total 48 out of the 64 chips active, therefore also shown as "sick" because the total hashrate is only ~9.3 GH/s.

Any idea if this can be fixed or need to get replaced by baikal?
Someone had the same issue and it was due to nicehash 😀

i am not mining with nicehash on my x10 tho, also no FB acc..

got my x10's from 2nd batch yesterday, arrived in promised time frame. Monitored Shipping process, took 3 days from china.
Had to deal with the miner down issue a few times because of deleted pools but was always able to bring em back online with proper backup.

One hashboard of a miner has only 48 out of 64 chips active which is a bit of a bummer.. resulting in a ~8% decreased performance for this unit - contacted Support, awaiting reply.
Otherwise all running stable since 24h now with static IP set over Router and a 2200w murata PSU powering both (yea, overkill but got it cheap..).

First Asic's for me in the mix while mining with GPU's and Cloud - profit is pretty decent, so far no regrets.

its reliable, easy to use, hassle free and important for me, allows a decent and steady profit control and prediction. Tried different pools and miners in the past and stuck with both nhm legacy and nvidia version for my rigs since quite a while.
Yes you can make more profit by manually switching algos, optimizing configs and watching the market etc., been there.. i prefer the comfort option here and willing to accept lesser returns as trade off.

In the End it really depends on your setup and *crypto-personality*, whatever floats your boat.

I sent my wire transfer a little while ago to the Construction bank of china wire address.

My bank came back to me saying the construction bank of China wanted some info on Baikal(business dealings, are they russian etc) before releasing my funds to them.

Anyone else have something similar ?

I meet this also, then i go to baikal skype, send the picture of the question, and they reply me in 5 hours,i think it's due to the time different.
You may try also.

today my transfer was confirmed by Baikal. Yesterday i questioned them about their experiences with such delays and they confirmed better not to state Baikal in the transfer purpose, which i did.. as was mentioned in this thread earlier kinda nonsense since the name appears as recipient of the money anyways. but well.

All in all it took 5 working days and 2 Question rounds with my Bank and some "factual" pressure to get the money thru to the Construction Bank Account. Basically told them that time is money here and to google all things about the whole transfer - thats what a private person can do in 20 sec and a Multi-Million Bank can't ?!.. worked out.

Now awaiting 2nd Batch in December.

so they are still for sale? how many did you order

i would assume yes, preorder that is. Just email them and ask for a Quote.
Ordered 2 for the start to mix with my 2 GPU miner, trying to diversify a bit here. Depending on x10 performance, general trend and my overall impression maybe gonna sell one with profit on local market and then buy more.

Others were supplied a different wiring address.

I'm thinking of seeing if I can cancel my transaction and just resend it to the other wiring address I've seen in previous posts.

read about that too. Tho i would confirm that old one first with baikal itself incase it ceased to exist meanwhile - else why would they have changed it to the new one.

Yes.. already discussing with my Bank since start of Week. The Hongkong Branch Office is delaying the payment. It seems the Issue is based on the use of the Name "BAIKAL" itself.
Upon investigation in this thread and else it all points to possible confusion with some Russian Arms Company called Baikal.. so the name baikal raises all kinds of red flags in the swift interbanking system.
aaf tbh, after the 2nd Question Round i urged my Bank to speed up the process and provided all Informations necessary.

Still hoping for common sense to prevail.
