I sent my wire transfer a little while ago to the Construction bank of china wire address.

My bank came back to me saying the construction bank of China wanted some info on Baikal(business dealings, are they russian etc) before releasing my funds to them.

Anyone else have something similar ?

I think i need to agree ...  Smiley
baikal is not bitmain, i don't think baikal has the willingness to flood the market with ten thousands baikal x10 miners in one or two batch delivery, actually i don;t even think they have the capability to manufacture that many miners...
it is reasonable to believe the 1st batch, there would a couple of hundreds miners in Nov, and another couple of hundreds miners in Dec

for the first batch at least 247 pieces with crypto.... ( wallet Baikal / cost of single Giant)
i don't know how many pieces with wire transfer i supposed other 250 pieces... but for wire transfer is only a my idea...

The Baikal X10 back looks like this....

http://www.baikalminer.com/img9/a6.jpg

I'm a newb at this. Could someone send me a link to what PSU they'd recommend? The D3 PSU has 8 6 pin connection points... so I could use that PSU from Bitmain yes? I've also seen these connector boards that hook into a HP PSU, which could be a cheaper route.

Mainly I don't want to fry anything.  Grin

HP DPS-1200FB power supply with something like this:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Breakout-Board-10pcs-Cable-for-HP-1200w-750w-Power-Module-Mining-Ethereum/272870905226

This probably the cheapest and reliable setup.

Yes.. already discussing with my Bank since start of Week. The Hongkong Branch Office is delaying the payment. It seems the Issue is based on the use of the Name "BAIKAL" itself.
Upon investigation in this thread and else it all points to possible confusion with some Russian Arms Company called Baikal.. so the name baikal raises all kinds of red flags in the swift interbanking system.
aaf tbh, after the 2nd Question Round i urged my Bank to speed up the process and provided all Informations necessary.

Still hoping for common sense to prevail.

Others were supplied a different wiring address.

I'm thinking of seeing if I can cancel my transaction and just resend it to the other wiring address I've seen in previous posts.

read about that too. Tho i would confirm that old one first with baikal itself incase it ceased to exist meanwhile - else why would they have changed it to the new one.

Mid November is rapidly approaching. When do you think they will ship the first batch? I was secretly hoping for today.

Yes, similar situation, my bank even refused payment. Problem was word "Baikal" and that, according to my bank, they have something with bitcoins.
So I had to pay from another bank.

I would perfer to have a quality PSU, this one just looks low quality stuff.
And I don't find any posibility to use X11 with BAIKAL GIANT X10 as this machine have no advantage on this algo plus the ruined X11 market .so 400Watt is just enough for other algo.

BAIKALS never ROI
Better keep your bitcoins ! You will have much better profit.

X10 is having stability isues and the boards are stoping to hash and red lights on ! This is the reason BAIKAL is delaying the X10.
You will see how many they will start to complain.
And if you have such a problem Baikal will tell you that you broke the miner and to send them the defect board back for repair (with courier of course )
And then you have to pay also the shipping to get the fixed board.
Even if the product will arrive damage BAIKAL will tell you that you broke it and you go the same route....

They are so good that they never send defect products  Cheesy Cheesy  And if you ask your money back they just don't answer you ... its the simple way...

Buy BAIKAL buy !!!!  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

I have one board of the A2000 is the same sitiation.
It worked only one week. Then red lights on and I see 12 chips is active and hashing 500 Mh/s but no any accepted or rejected share.
The strange thing: it works sometimes.
I requested its firmware to update it. They sent but it fails.
I have lots of Baikal devices with no problem. the only problem is one bord of A2000.
I have two mini, one cube, 8 x A2000
I dont think the Baikal will sell the defect products.

I cannot live, I cannot die, trapped in myself.
Hold my breath as I wish for death. Oh please god, help me !

today my transfer was confirmed by Baikal. Yesterday i questioned them about their experiences with such delays and they confirmed better not to state Baikal in the transfer purpose, which i did.. as was mentioned in this thread earlier kinda nonsense since the name appears as recipient of the money anyways. but well.

All in all it took 5 working days and 2 Question rounds with my Bank and some "factual" pressure to get the money thru to the Construction Bank Account. Basically told them that time is money here and to google all things about the whole transfer - thats what a private person can do in 20 sec and a Multi-Million Bank can't ?!.. worked out.

Now awaiting 2nd Batch in December.

BGRUN just spreads a bunch of misinformation regarding baikal vs Bitmain. He hijacked other baikal threads to mention a mythical 30GB/sec bitmain product which has 0 proof of existence. I have read plenty of comments about people having boards go bad on bitmain devices too and yes people have to ship them back for repair as well. BGRUN must be the last bitmain fanboy or something. Either way its hyper annoying and adds no value to any of the numerous threads he pulls off topic.
