1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [VITE] [DAG + Reactive Contracts] Vite | Asynchronous Architecture on: June 10, 2018, 03:34:24 PM
The project will be huge, but it is bit sad seeing all good projects simply ignore public sale (i.e., small players). Even with legal issues, I think the projects should consider allocating at least 20% for public sale. Anyway, good luck for the project !
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What kind of advantages does your cryptocurrency offer you? on: May 17, 2018, 01:56:08 PM
As many of us are into cryptocurrency for the apparent reason - Money. Is there anything else your crypto offers?
For instance, Ydentity helps you to secure your identity by creating a unique identity for you with the help of a simple survey.
Please share if there are such innovative uses of other cryptocurrencies.

There are some obvious use cases in crptocurrency. I don't know many, but I will write some that I'm familiar with, just to tell there are various use cases, but I'm not going to write many here.

1. Binance (BNB)
BNB token holders get 50% discounts when trading on binance exchange.

2. Kukoin (KCS)
KCS holders receive a certain portion of profits from kucoin exchange trading.

3. Cindicator (CND)
with certain level of CND tokens, holders receive no. of trading signals (not just within crypto space, but in traditional stock markets too).

4. Privacy coins (like Dash, Monero)
When governments ban some organisations, or when ordinary citizens want to donate but like keep privacy these tokens can be used.

5. ETH, GAS
Dapps run on these platforms need to pay transactions fee using their own tokens (e.g., ETH for dapps on ethereum platform).

These are just 3-4 use cases, but there can be 100s of use cases, and although we are still early in blockchain space, in 2-3 years, you could see in many day-t-day activities using tokens.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still believe in ICO ? on: May 17, 2018, 01:39:28 PM
compared to the last bull run (Oct 2017 - Jan 2018), now there is less no. of ICOs which give high ROIs. If someone got 100x ICOs before, which is quite similar to 10-20x now. If you can do good research, you can still get these 10-20x ICOs. Among the upcoming ICOs, I'm so bullish on Quarkchain, NEX, Phantasma, Pchain and Edenchain. I guess all of them (at least most of them) will give you 5-20x within short-time frame (< 6 months), and probably 50-100x in long-run (1-2 years), but compared to 2017 bull run, now it is getting harder and harder to get decent allocations in crowdsales.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Egretia, the World's First HTML5 Blockchain Platform on: May 17, 2018, 01:18:05 PM
Hello! Managers, if i want to participate in public sale, do i need to register whitelist now?

You don't need to register for whitelist, but you need to create an account in Tokeneed, and get it verified before the crowdsale, but if you have ever participated a crowdsale in Tokeneed (e.g., Merculet, ArcBlock, CyberMiles, etc.), then you don't need do anything. Make sure you have ETH ready before the crowdsale and simply join it.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bangladesh government banned bitcoin ? on: May 16, 2018, 02:52:44 AM
Anyone knew about that Huh

Is it true news Huh

no country can ban bitcoin. the only way they could do is by banning internet which is not practical today's world, so what people say countries banning bitcoin is the process of discouraging (or reducing chances of) people buying bitcoin by giving official announcements, banning exchanges, etc. but in reality no one can really ban bitcoin, but developing countries like Bangladesh sometimes tend to try to reduce use of digital currencies like bitcoin due to fear of loosing tax (by money laundering etc.)
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I never sold my First bitcoin. Are you also emotionally bound to bitcoin? on: May 16, 2018, 02:46:54 AM
It has been 2 years that I bought my First bitcoin. I have never been able to sell or trade it. Is it only me who is emotionally binded or does this happened with anyone else?

Also, is it a good thing to be emotionally attached so much to Bitcoins?

I dont own much as I entered so late (by your entry point), so if someone has entered that early as you, they can have the staying power as the current price is at least 10-30x from the entry point, but if someone bought like me around the last bull run, sometimes it is too hard, but I guess if someone really believes bitcoin is going to be the digital gold one day when blockchain applications is what internet applications today, then those who are holding now would be so happy !
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One country in Asia to develop bitcoin transactions legally on: May 13, 2018, 01:48:36 PM
This is a good news.

Japan became the first country legalizing bitcoin as a payment method last year, and actually Japanese is the most used fiat currency for cryptocurrency trading. South Korea also seems to working to legalise some part of blockchain innovations (probably ICOs could be the first step). I'm hoping more and more countries accept bitcoin as a legitimate payment method.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top ICO Projects for May on: May 11, 2018, 03:01:33 PM
I dont have any bad feeling about 2 ICOs you mentioned here, but if I'm given chance to give my list, I would include the following. There is some possibility, some of these ICOs will push towards early June based on some issues, but these are the ICOs I'm looking at now,

1. Quarkchain
2. Neon exchange (NEX)
3. Metronome
4. Phantasma protocol
5. Edenchain
9  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Nano S on: May 11, 2018, 02:56:53 PM
I got mine through amazon. Great price.

I would assume Amazon products are great, but if I were you, I would buy directly from the website. Not only it gives more credibility to the product, but also it reduces the middlemen, thus the minimum chance to do any defects to the product to steal product key (when you actually use it). I have read stories that buying from eBay is bad, but usually Amazon is better than eBay, but I would still go for the maximum safe method, that's buying directly from the website.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EGT] Egretia - The World's First HTML5 Blockchain Engine and Platform on: May 11, 2018, 02:31:40 PM
Approved on tokeneed  and participated other icos? Can we just participate for egretia?

Yes as long as you have a verified profile in Tokeneed, you can participate to Egretia public sale. So as you have participated other ICOs on Tokeneed, you just dont need to do anything now, but make sure you have ETH in Tokeneed before the crowdsale starts, because sometimes crowdsale finishes in minutes.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EGT] Egretia - The World's First HTML5 Blockchain Engine and Platform on: May 11, 2018, 02:27:24 PM
Egretia can become one of the top projects of this year. Blockchain projects do not go to the loss at the stock exchanges at all, and if they are promising (like Icon, or from the latter, Seele, NKN, Yggdrash), they can give a huge profit - more than x10!

This is really true especially after the huge crush in January. After the crush (or corrections as some say), mainly infrastructure projects like Egretia perform well during the bear market. Being a blockchain and comes with a hardcap of less than $25m, I think this is going to make many ICO participants happy along the way.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EGT] Egretia - The World's First HTML5 Blockchain Engine and Platform on: May 11, 2018, 02:21:48 PM
As the crowdsale is approaching, Egretia is making great progress, the recent partnerships with ArcBlock and Merculet, two successful blockchain projects will make Egretia even more interesting now. Being a blockchain under a $25m hardcap, this is going to be really a good investment for ICO participants.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EGT] Egretia - The World's First HTML5 Blockchain Engine and Platform on: May 11, 2018, 02:17:05 PM
This is platform for HTML developers or own bloockchain on HTML? Is there was a pre-sale or only main sale?

Egretia is developing their own blockchain. There are two sale steps; a private sale and public sale. Public sale will start on 26 May 2018, and the registration for private sale is ongoing. Private sale will start quite soon given public sale is supposed to start on 26 May 2018.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Egretia News on: May 10, 2018, 12:13:19 PM
Why does #Egretia collect Arclock and Cybermiles tokens in addition to ETH? I know Egretia is an ERC-20 token, which means it will beilt on Ethereum platform until moves to its own blockchain, but why does Arcblock and Cybermiles tokens have to do with Egretia token? Does Egretia plan to cash out Arcblock and Cybermiles tokens straightaway or is there any plans to use on Egretia platform?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Egretia Feature on: May 08, 2018, 04:21:58 PM
#Egretia recently made partnerships with ArcBlock, which was a very successful ICO and Merculet, which were also sold out within minutes. There partnerships bring many more investors and credibility to Egretia. Being a blockchain under $30m hardcap with its goal of bringing more than 200,000 developers to the platform, this project be huge in blockchain space in near future.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EGT] Egretia - The World's First HTML5 Blockchain Engine and Platform on: May 06, 2018, 01:46:15 PM
It's also worth noting that Egretia is led by quite a stellar team, including former Adobe and Microsoft developers, as well as the fact that the startup is partnering with such IT giants as Intel, Facebook, Adobe, Microsoft, etc. There's no need to mention that here we are talking about a very accomplished project with huge prospects, and its capitalization is likely to grow. I doubt if there'll be an open token sale, but if there is some opportunity to get hold of this project's tokens, just go for it.

token sale info: Token Supply: 8,000,000,000 Egreten
Token Sale Event: Up to 39%
Foundation: 27%
Marketing & Business Partners: 14%
Team, Contributors & Advisors: 20%
Anyone knows when the token sale begins?

Crowdsale will start on May 26, 2018, 8am CST and will end May 30, 2018, 8am CST or when the token no. of tokens are sold out.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO 2018 on: May 06, 2018, 01:07:22 PM
this has started almost 4 months back, so my answer might not help those looked for information then, but if you are looking ICOs now, I would suggest you to look on the ICOs coming up soon. Whitelists for some ICOs might have ended by now, but even if you have missed them, dont be scared to buy them when they come to exchanges (dont simply fomo, but judge a good time to enter). After all, you can remind yourself that, Ontology was almost $1 post-ICO, and Wanchain was less than $3, and they are around 10x and 3x respectively now, and they could go 10x from here in a year, so if you think you missed a great ICO, try to take positions at early time.

This is my list for this month and next 2-3 months.

1. NEX (neon exchange, whitelist is already over, crowdsale yet to come)
2. Quarkchain (whitelist yet to come, but you might not get a decent allocation now)
3. Edenchain (whitelist is over, they talked about a re-opening but not sure whether that will happen)
4. Pchain (whitelist is still running)
5. Atonomi (whitelist is still running)
6. Phantasma protocol (whitelist now closed, but they said, 2nd-round whitelist will come next week)
7. Metronome (no need whitelist, but being an auction, you need to judge when to enter it)
8. Keep Network (whitelist is still running)
9. Origin protocol (I guess you can still join for whitelist)

There are a few more on my list, but some information are missing to judge whether they are good ICOs for investors, in terms of technology, there are some gems, but I wait until I get sufficient information to write here.

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] ZenCash: Private, Secure, Resilient CryptoCurrency with zk-SNARKs on: April 09, 2018, 02:39:25 PM
@zencashofficial (twitter) says (just 6 mins before) "Instructions on how to upgrade Zen to version 2.0.11 on Windows, Linux, and Mac . Please do this by TOMORROW!". Is this a genuine announcement by the Zenchash team?. If this is genuine, why people are given just oneday, that's what anyway make me to suspect this?
