What's the projected price of this coin by March? $10?
Thank you for your interest in our coin Hedda, Please contact our team at info@fastcoin.ca and we would be happy to discuss with you where we feel FastCoin will be in terms of price. We generally do not like to discuss this information on this forum as price is highly subjective and controversial. Many trolls with competing or conflicting interests tend to use this forum as a public sounding board which does not accurately reflect the amount of time and energy our team has put into this project. Thank you again for your question as we look forward to your email. Sincerely /C

Well, I've been away for quite some time, and during which, have lost access to my original account "m0gliE" on bitcointalk.org. So if anyone has looked at my pervious posts from that account and wondered if I have gone off the deep end, I must apologize. I am both delighted and saddened to see how Fastcoin has progressed. Delighted that it still functions, but saddened that I, along with the others, have not dedicated more time to the project. First off, let me address some quick fixes that will resolve many of the problems I've seen posted here and on reddit. I've recently uploaded the entire blockchain files and bootstrap.dat files to archive.org and sourceforge.net You can download the individual files and run using -rescan to build the database, or download and extract the bootstrap.dat file. Note: Importing the bootstrap.dat file verifies each and every block so it's expected to take at least 6 hours to complete. [use -dbcache=4096] Note: Placing the individual files in your datadir will greatly reduce the time needed to scan. Use with the -rescan command switch. https://archive.org/details/Fastcoin_Blockchainhttps://archive.org/details/fastcoin_bootstraphttps://sourceforge.net/projects/fastcoin/For quicker results, set maxconnections=0 while importing the bootstrap.dat After import, close client, then set to maxconnections=2 while completing synchronization. After syncing, close client, then set maxconnections=12 and restart. When Fastcoin imports the blockchain and builds the index, connecting clients will still try to query and send block data which reduces the client performance while building the database. Even while synchronizing the blockchain, if you are connected to many clients at once, it will actually reduce the performance of incoming data. Once the blockchain is fully up to date, you can restart the client using any number of connections as it will no longer hinder the synchronization performance. Some of these issues will easily be addressed in upcoming fixes for the current and future versions of Fastcoin. -m Welcome back m0gliEz, We look forward to your continued contribution as our lead Dev, along with all of the new Developers that have joined us on Github. We also welcome back Joshua Barretto (Zesterer), Shitscared, and Coradan to the fray. Special shout out goes to some new faces, Pierre Pronchery, Fisherman21, shaib39, ProkhorZ, CodeRunner, and Chewy83! https://github.com/fastcoinproject/fastcoin/settings/collaborationAny additional developers that would like to join in please feel free to email us at info@fastcoin.ca and we will send you an invite to join our team within Github. Best Fast Welcome back m0gliEz, Indeed, we are very pleased to have you back full on as we look forward to continued updates and releases in the coming weeks and months. Is it true that you did work for NASA? If it is, we certainly look forward to learning how your new updates will take us back into orbit. We also would like to recognize the 30 plus developers within the Fastcoin network as well. https://github.com/fastcoinproject/fastcoin/network/membersSincerely /C

Happy New Year everyone! It would be an understatement to say that 2017 was a just a great year for Cryptocurrencies. What took place last year makes 2013 look like a mere blip on the map. 2018 looks like will be the year where Cryptocurrencies will finally be embraced by institutional and mainstream investors. This space has come a long way since the introduction of Bitcoin in 2009 and we look forward to FastCoin moving on to a new chapter beyond the excitement phase to that of something more charismatic. FastCoin has certainly shared some high's and low's over the years, however the FastCoin team and key core community members are reinvigorated with a new sense of contribution. We look forward to providing further details to this new phase of development in the first quarter of 2018. FastCoin is very much alive and well as we continue to work with our community, exchange partners and development team to provide new and innovative offerings in the Cryptocurrency space. We would like to thank all community members that have made contributions to the FastCoin project and would like to wish everyone the very best that 2018 can bring! Sincerely /C

Hello everyone! Thank you again for your patience as we are happy to announce we have a resolution to the reported issue on LiveCoin. As per LiveCoin's announcement below... https://files.slack.com/files-pri/T6L7G7BB8-F78646HQ8/screen_shot_2017-09-26_at_10.49.55.pngWe want to thank LiveCoin for doing their part in acknowledging that we have done our due diligence in satisfying their hosting requirements, and we look forward to doing the same with each additional Exchange that chooses to list our coin. We would also like to thank community members for keeping a level head throughout this process as we can appreciate when owning FastCoin's and not being able to have them in your own possession can certainly be unnerving to say the least. Thank you all again, we look forward to exciting weeks and months ahead for FastCoin! Best Fast Thank you FastCoin for that announcement! FastCoin has some very special things in store for the next few weeks, and now that we have this issue with LiveCoin behind us we would like to extend a a very special invitation to NEW and existing Crypto enthusiasts to come and join in on the conversation in our own FastCoin SLACK Channel! It is a great way for cryptocurrency users to learn about where FastCoin is going, and also be more involved in the conversation as this great coin evolves. It is also mobile friendly, which sometimes can be a challenge for this forum (Bitcointalk.org) to manage well on a mobile device. Existing members can sign in here... https://fastcoinchat.slack.com/messages/C6P2GDD0X/convo/C6KCF6F28-1502222893.115716/For new members wanting to join our SLACK channel, please email us at info@fastcoin.ca and we will send you a personalized invitation. I have acquired a fastcoin wallet from Cryptsy through a third party which acquired it through an auction. I would like to know what this community would have me do with it.
Shall the fastcoins be donated to a particular address to disperse it out fairly? Shall they be destroyed?
At this point, I don't know how many coins are in the wallet as I am currently syncing the blockchain (block 3 million of 9 million). It may be several days before I have an answer.
Thank you Stouse49 for bringing this up, Sorry for the very late response, not sure if you made any progress with the wallets from Cryptsy? If you did, please inform our community on the SLACK channel as we can have a vote on what to do with the extra FST. Personally it would be great to have them donated to the FST donations wallet as we tend to use those funds to help get FST enlisted on other exchanges or to further marketing efforts. https://www.fastcoin.ca/donateSincerely /C

Hello all FastCoin community members and Cryptocurrency fans, I wanted to take the time to thank Livecoin and Cryptopia for working with our Development team on this most recent issue. We do want to inform the community that our investigation is ongoing and we are still waiting for some additional data back from Cryptopia on this matter. It is recognized that the users directly involved with this issue may have experienced unnecessary inconvenience. Its important to point out that we have outlined in the past our recommended best practices to holders of FastCoin and Crypto's in general in that the best way to hold your Cryptocurrency is within your own personal wallet. Exchanges certainly do serve a purpose, however without a properly regulated framework this case in point, clearly points out some of the challenges that exists in this space as we work to resolve the reported issue. Without going into further detail, we continue to encourage best practices moving forward and users wishing to purchase FastCoin and withdraw their coins can continue to do so from Cryptopia without issue. If you have any further questions or concerns of what our position is with respects to "Best Practices" and how to hold your coins, please feel free to email us at info@fastcoin.ca. Our team has been working diligently on additional upgrades and enhancements to FastCoin, with that, we would ask any community members that are currently hosting mining pools and either have supported or continue to support mining of FastCoin to please forward us their mining pool details. We would like to make this information available to all community members moving forward with an up to date list of available FastCoin miners. Also, with the potential upcoming changes to FastCoin we may require some changes to take place on the mining side of the equation and before we release this information we want to make sure FastCoin mining pool operators have all of the latest information available to them before we make our release public. Again, all mining pool operators, please email us at info@fastcoin.ca and in your email please give us the name of your mining pool, URL address etc as well as what standard you are currently mining on, IE 8.7.2 or 10.2.2 etc. Thank you all again for your continued support as we look forward for a very exciting year ahead. Sincerely /C

Community members that wish to follow our discussions in real-time, its probably better to do so on our SLACK channel here... https://fastcoinchat.slack.com/messages/C6P2GDD0X/convo/C6KCF6F28-1502222893.115716/We have a great response from community members on the SLACK Channel so far, and it is mobile friendly as well which is a bonus! This may be especially useful for current members seeking info on investing in FST and recent price movements etc. We also have support threads and a number of others useful threads as well, so all are welcome to join. We would also like to thank other community members that have suggested this in the past. FastCoin looks forward to growing further and engaging on these types of platforms as we believe it will better help the further development of the coin. I just checked in on the Blockchain Explorer, it was all reset, and the web page had this message: "The block explorer hosting period has expired. Please contact support to renew the hosting period."https://www.blockexperts.com/fstThanks for the note FXJ, We have been in contact with Block Experts on this and hope to have this issue resolved with them shortly. Please note we "The Fastcoin Foundation" have already paid for a full years subscription with Block Experts, which started about 2 months ago, so the alert that they posted is incorrect. It seems from the information they have told us, the root cause of the issue is their system has been overwhelmed and they are trying to find servers dedicated for FST only. Again they are looking to resolve the problem and we will update the community once it is resolved. Thanks for your patience. Sincerely Cheetahx

FastCoin on Wikipedia, Hello everyone, I know a few community members have asked about this in the past, and we wanted to let them know that we (FastCoin Foundation Team members) have made several attempts at this. We had an initial success, however as we dove deeper down the "Wikipedia Rabbit hole" we soon discovered there are several "hoops" that need to be appropriately traversed. If any community members have the time, please feel free to explore this option, the following URL may provide further assistance as to how to appropriately navigate through this process... http://contentmarketinginstitute.com/2011/11/how-to-develop-a-wikipedia-page/Please also feel free to email us at info@fastcoin.ca if you would like a copy of our original posting on Wikipedia to assist you with the submission. Again, we did have FastCoin posted for a short while on Wikipedia, but it will require further attention, and any assistance that community members are willing to supply would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely /C

Super responsive dev team and after 4 years in the making, they actually have a working product.
Long term holder now.
Thank you Zecon! Although we do not feel worthy of it yet, we certainly much appreciate the praise ;-) Looks like our Crypto Wars campaign has been an smashing success! It also looks like the video may have caught mainstream media attention as well! We will wait and see if it goes viral, but for now Fastcoin Foundation members and myself are doing our best to keep up with the flood of emails hitting our inbox. We expect to be posting some additional significant announcements in the weeks ahead, thank you all for your continued support! For those of you who have not seen the video, you can watch it here. We have updated the version to "Editors Cut" with reduced background noise and improved audio. It helps clicking on it a few times if you would like to see it go viral, also please feel free to share with your family and friends as 99.99% of the public still do not have a CLUE about what BITCOIN is let alone FastCoin! https://youtu.be/GNzu3gWBXKUSincerely /C

We truly are excited about what is about to happen, Our team has been very patient these past 4 years and believe the coming months will demonstrate the magnitude of that perspective. A few things we would like to make comment on before we begin to divulge the outline of our proposed technical Roadmap. I want to personally thank all of the FastCoin community members for their contributions and support throughout this program, this is, and continues to be a decentralised and open sourced initiative. It is because of these conscious, open minded and critical thinking community members, that FastCoin has been as successful as it has. We understand and accept the fact that we are NOT perfect and are constantly looking for ways to improve our program. From the CORE Development team, to the marketing promotions, to just curious FST fans that want to learn more, on behalf of the FastCoin project and FastCoin Foundation members we thank you! To all of the potentially NEW community members, we welcome you to join into the fray and we are happy for you to join us in this cryptocurrency movement of ours. A quote from Eric Liddell, comes to mind and feel it may best capture where we are together in this journey at this moment in time and I would like to share it with all of you today.... “You came to see a race today. To see someone win. It happened to be me. But I want you to do more than just watch a race. I want you to take part in it. I want to compare faith to running in a race. It's hard. It requires concentration of will, energy of soul. You experience elation when the winner breaks the tape - especially if you've got a bet on it. But how long does that last? You go home. Maybe your dinner's burnt. Maybe you haven't got a job. So who am I to say, "Believe, have faith," in the face of life's realities? I would like to give you something more permanent, but I can only point the way. I have no formula for winning the race. Everyone runs in her own way, or his own way. And where does the power come from, to see the race to its end? From within.”Where does the power of FastCoin come from? From "Within" the community members and those that choose to hold the coin! Thank you all again very much as we continue this journey together, and look forward to posting our technical Roadmap on Aug 1st! Sincerely Cheetahx

Hello Midnightrun, Thank you for your questions and please accept my sincerest apologises if you are not getting the answers you are seeking via this forum. Please feel free to email our FastCoin Foundation team members at info@fastcoin.ca. Most of our community members are well meaning and sometimes this forum may not be the best place to communicate that loyalty and enthusiasm. Thanks again for your questions as we look forward to your email reply. Sincerely Cheetahx Thanks for your response Cheetahx. Where is the community most active? It seems that fastcointalk.org is a ghost town and the subreddit hasn't really been active in over a year. Is there a roadmap of what is to come for FastCoin and what the team is working on currently? Thank you Midnightrun, The CORE Dev team is generally a quite group and do poke their heads into the fastcointalk.org and this forum mainly to focus on technical discussions and contributions. Our FastCointalk.org site has several thousand registered users and activity on it can vary on it overtime. Our official Twitter Account... https://twitter.com/fast_coinalso has over 8,000 followers and tends to be very active and our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/FastCoin.ca/is also developing with a good group of followers as well. With respects to a Roadmap, yes, we are working on releasing a roadmap and it should be made available to the general public on August 1st 2017. This is as per our promotional timeline video posted on Youtube here... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPTJT8eOUpAFor any serious interested parties that wish to participate and contribute to the FastCoin Foundation CORE steering committee, please email me at cheetahx@fastcoin.ca and we can discuss further. Sincerely /C

Where were all of you with your knowledge when it was flat for 2 years (2015-2016)? Classic: Detractors show up only when price spikes. Reality is that facts are starting to flow in: - new website (after 3 years of quiet) - 2 exchangers and one more by weeks now (there has been a period with only 1 exchanger, and I think to remember zero exchangers in 2015 for some months) - growing interest on the forum and here - DevTeam is alive - a major event is supposed to happen Aug 1st
Oh, and no skandals for one of the few "survival" to the 1st wave of cryptos, now 4.5 year old..... unless you consider skandal some few stuck transactions, which happens for every crypto, BTC included.
Gday, First let me get this out of the way, I am a believer, I personally think this coin will have a bright future, and I will definitely hold a portion looong term. It has proven it can survive, now its time to thrive! MisterMerci and midnightrun,s comments and questions are valid, before making an investment, most will want clarification and questions answered as best they can be. Positive and negative feedback and input, are necessary for development, To grow we must take on adversity as a challenge to be overcome. They are here because they can see potential and opportunity, like the rest of us. I know nothing of code or would be trying to have some input, eg. a snapshot or 2nd genesis at block 10 000 000, to allow new wallets to syc from this point forward, as to make the wallet sync a little more user friendly for newcomers. I don't even know if this is possible. Things evolve through finding strengths and weaknesses. Onward and upward. Thank you dan_and_shan, We appreciate your post and thank you for taking the time to appropriately address MisterMerci and Midnights run's comments. We agree with you whole hardheartedly, and would also like to stress that sometimes language barriers are misinterpreted in this forum as a cause of angst. Please note that this is not the case and that this form is simply a global community with individuals from all over the world and we recognise that English may not be the first language for many of our guests and community members. Even in Canada, English is one of two official languages and some may argue that parts of the US speak an entirely different English as well, "Ya'll know what I'm say'n?" LOL, aside from linguistic misinterpretations, we agree that through constructive dialog we can make FastCoin (FST) be all that it can be. The CORE development team needs this "Constructive" dialog to take FST to the next level. With that, please continue with the communications, we look forward to a very exciting next few weeks and months ahead! Again anyone seeking technical assistance with Wallet installs, troubleshooting etc, fastcointalk.org is a much better place to do this then this forum. If you are new to the forum please sign up, also any general inquires please feel free to email us at info@fastcoin.ca as we look forward to hearing form you! Sincerely Cheetahx

'' Thank you MM for your picture contribution to this forum! The FastCoin team appreciates all of your contributions and support to this project and we welcome any constructive feedback you would like to provide. Please note, your picture will not post on the forum just yet until your Bitcointalk forum account has "matured" with "meaningful" activity. Hope you don't mind if I re-post it for you on your behalf as we look forward to you and your teams continued support! Sincerely Cheetahx
