QoinPro is the only one of those sites that I've heard of -- and it is of questionable legitimacy.

I'll be waiting until a major wallet or exchange supports this or any fork (e.g., BCD, BCG, BCH, BCP) before I have any concerns about claiming.

Awesome!  That was kinda what I was suspecting, based on what I'd read -- but I was too afraid of ruining the thing to jump in and try it.

Thanks, NotFuzzyWarm!
3  Bitcoin / Mining support / First time miner. Need help with Antminer S7 and GekkoScience DL580 on: November 16, 2017, 02:47:29 AM
Hey all.

I just received an Antminer S7 with PSU and GekkoScience breakout board from Asicpuppy.net.

Included:
(1) HP PSU
(1) Antminer S7
(1) GekkoScience board
(7) Six-prong power cables

How do I know where to plug the cables?

The Antminer has three receptacles per hashing board and one up top by the AntMiner logo, totaling 10.

The GekkoScience board has four rows of three receptacles, totaling 12.

It seems like one power cord would go to the top controller-jobby and then six would go... elsewhere.  And how do I know where they go on the breakout board?

I don't want to brick the thing before I even get it started!   Tongue

Thanks!

Hello all.

I'm brand new to mining and today I received a used Antminer S7 with a Gekkoscience breakout board and a HP PSU from Asicpuppy.net -- which is super-exciting.  However, the kit didn't come with instructions.

There are, of course, 10 little 4x power connectors (three per hashing board and one "extra").  But seven cables were included.  I went to Bitmain's documentation, then tried searching the web for Gekkoscience documentation.

Is there somebody here who can help me understand just what should be connected to where so that I don't brick this thing before I even get to use it?   Grin

Thanks!
