2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Moderated] [ANN][URO] A Real Long Term Currency: 1 Uro = 1 Metric Tonne Urea on: July 23, 2014, 10:41:43 PM
Does anyone know how to get some of that shit deleted from the google results?
If I was seeing this coin for the first time, I'd stay away too after seeing all that, just on G.P.'s

It doesn't matter. The people who are actually using the coin for its intended purpose already have signed agreements. All the fud in the world won't kill this coin, in fact it'll make it more profitable for those trading actual product.

Very true, but most people don't really understand all of the ramifications of a binding contract.
And, I just don't like those guys.( If it's good enough for them, i guess it's good enough for me. )
if we can undo any of the bad PR they've done, it'll piss them off. And speaking of PR, didn't I see something about a fired PR guy from uro? Interesting...who might really be behind this campaign?

That wouldn't surprise me. All the FUD started when that joker jebus got fired.

Bohan has stated that he would still take Jebus back if he wanted to (that was weeks ago so I don't know if he still feels that way). He wasn't fired to my knowledge.

why price falling if fud is not truth? Huh

Not enough money outside of the altcoin trading scene to stabilize miners dumping at this price. Word will spread with time.
you trying to say others waiting more proof?

Not only did this coin have a FUD storm when it had the best opportunity to gain the most exposure and shaking confidence, at current prices, $20,000 has to come into the market every day to sustain the price. The concept of Uro is pretty foreign to the western world as we have clearly seen.  And since this community is mostly over privileged western youths, it may take longer than most would like to reach other communities. These things take time and Bohan has a lot of work ahead of him.

What I find interesting is the FUD has gone silent...

You can learn a lot from silence.

That's because the thread is moderated like crazy.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - Presale Started! on: July 20, 2014, 02:21:33 AM
on moolah i chose and send 0.5btc but on my invest btc address i see 0.4994 and haven't receive confirmation on my email. is all good?( i mean that i wrote 0.5 but send 0.4994)

You have to send .0006 more for it to complete. Depending on where you send from it will take the transaction fee off of the sending amount so it looks like a transaction fee of .0006 was taken from your withdrawal. Am I right?

Essentially what it sounds like we need is a board of directors who run the shoes and make quick decisions but still have a democratic infrastructure in place to make larger overarching decisions as well as eleviating bad seeds. The foundation is the most important thing. Take time with it. Get it right. Everything is built upon it and it better be damn level.

Im Working continuously to help make this community better.   Im addicted to it.  This may be the first time in crypto history that coin is community run, completely decentralized with technological trust achievements in place.

However I can help. I'm in.

Working on a voting platform to kick me and anyone else that could possibly fuck with this community again.
Im hoping that whatever this may become is adopted by crypto in general, and sets an example for the greedy fucks that are ruining it for people that actually believe in something.

New finalized update enroute.

Love it. I'm sure there are many that have dreamt of this but were unable to do something about it. This could be a new era in crypto thanks to you and the community's vision and generosity. Can't wait to see where this goes.

Do we have a stable mac version?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SC] SilkCoin - Takeover and Rebuilding Discussion/Proposal on: July 01, 2014, 09:40:10 PM
What about instead of voting we have different escrow accounts for different projects? That way the amount of money people want to put towards certain projects is more democratic? Voting for the next phase and then raising funds seems more cumbersome. Thoughts?

All,

Could someone please post a summary of what is going on with the wallet itself.  The exchanges all still have this disabled due to a report of 0 confirmation transactions which we haven't seen much evidence of actually happening.

What is the status of the wallet?  We would like to get this market back on again as we continuously get tickets about how to get coins out or in.

Please update on the status of the wallet and current network.

Thanks,

Ryan @ Bittrex

Has anyone actually confirmed that there even is a 0 confirmation bug? Did the dev just make it up to crash the coin along with scamming everyone?

A user uses the verify message feature of the client to verify they own a wallet address.  Once verified, the wallet balance is checked on the block chain.  Users can add multiple addresses and it totals them up.

Very cool. Are you on Trello? We would love to have you come contribute to the rebuild and discuss converting this to a Silkcoin theme.

I was working to start up house of glass coin.  I put a significant amount of work into the site, which was to be the cornerstone.  It allows for weight based voting according to number of coins.   You have to have coins to vote, the more coins you have the more vote power you have.

That project never got enough traction to take off.  To many people were burned by houseofcoins as a scam to be interested in houseofglass.

I have been silently following the old SC thread and this thread, at one point I had 150K SC.  I've read almost every post of the old 300+ pages, and all 25 pages of this new thread.  It seems what I was working may still have a use.

It seems voting needs to be started, so people can start deciding what name to use, what logo to use, and a ton of other items.  And a central place to start organizing.

I would be willing to setup the forum, with weight based voting, and host it for free.

If any of the dev's working on this are interested, please PM me.

houseof.glass/forum/ is the site, to get an idea of what could be done towards weight based voting.  It could also be simple 1 for 1 voting.

And example poll: http://houseof.glass/forum/index.php?topic=11.0

A very novel and cool idea. I think I speak for everyone when I say we would love to have you as part of the community.

One question. How exactly do you keep track of how many coins an individual has?

Lol in think you misunderstood.  There has been absolutely no mention of bazaarcoin. Haha the bazaar is the suggested name for the previous 'ecosystem' plan.  Everything in the bazaar would be traded for silk, or silkcoin, or cryptosilk or whatever the community decides most likely by btt vote.  Bazaarcoin is a stupid name and not sure where you got that.  Lol hopefully everything makes sense now.

The grandbazaar presently is the name of the trelloboard. Nothing more.

Don't let him discourage you arteleis, your contributions are appreciated. He's either a troll or just unable to communicate in a mature and articulated manner.

One problem that does arise from a community making decisions is making sure there are safeguards in place to allow decisions to actually be made instead of it turning into a clusterfuck of talking/opinions without any action. That is why a single developer or group with a common vision are more successful than a rag-tag band of community members. What are some proposed solutions to ensuring that while all voices are heard, there is some actual leadership happening to ensure shit actually gets done decisively?

I do agree that a fulltime dev team would be best.  Right now everything is being pieced together by charitable efforts and donations.
  Presently being worked on
 Client upgrade
 Bug fix
 Mac wallet
 Logo redesign/rebranding inc voting process
 Website domains/design
 Crowdfunding plans
 Marketplace (bazaar)

And many other ideas being discussed.

The workflow in trello is the best option presently.  Do you have an entire dev team ready to work for donations and charity?  Im sure everyone would appreciate it!

I'm very happy with the progress so far. I just tend to look at the negative to ensure it doesn't become a reality. Asking difficult questions is important to ensure we do the best job possible.

well I'm out then! gonna dump my 757k as it looks like a bunch of monkeys are gonna run this show.

goodbye and good luck!

What an asshole. Have some respect and voice your opinions in a mature fashion instead of acting like a child. Good riddance.

Apologies, before I made a mistake and I wrote in the other thread. Please, I have just a question: is the total amount of silkoin 110 millions? Already mined, right?

~43 million

Thanks for the add on Trello. I hope to contribute in the best way I can. If anyone needs proof-reading/grammar checking for important documentation/posts I would be glad to help.

I am getting pretty tired of the overuse of "coin" in this ecosystem. I think a rebranding and step away from this naming method would do us good.

My thoughts then go on to the Grand Bazaar, which is a cool name for a decentralized marketplace. I think that taking influences from the past and incorporating them with the new would bring added benefits. Distancing ourselves from "scam coin" would be a smart bet.
