Our main goal is to have a community driven coin with an inflation rate that affects the coin as a whole, not being rewarded to the guys at the top but to all holders, moving away from the rich get richer structure and allowing everyone an equal opportunity. Hey guys, I would like to create a currency, and if you are interested in a little bit of an experience and experiment, join me. There are already a few like us, we are at very humble beginnings and could use your help!

We are aiming to create a system that is simple, secure, accessible, fair, provides equal opportunity and does not oppress or harm any people or our environment.

Its not set yet, though here is the rationale for creating it,



Dogma
Often people are stuck continuing the process of a system purely because of its legacy, and maybe there needs to be a system which is open at its core, so that it can be dogmatically versatile and open minded. We could use this base as a free pass to experiment and explore different ideas in the search for the most appropriate solution and have the same freedom and flexibility to move towards possible improvements or even implement or integrate a completely new solution, if and when necessary.


Technology
The technology is to be a tool for us as the people, it should serve us, not have us serve it. there are currently over 1500 currencies which are mostly open source and have relatively liberal licensing for use and copy, most encourage forks and with a community base we can identify what we want most and work to implement it. Some current surviving chains are either extremely bulky and can be an obstacle course to navigate as others are slow, tedious or expensive


Distribution
"No Premine, No CEO, No ICO, No unfair distribution, No get rich quick schemes!"

We sincerely to have a chain that is evenly distributed even at the beginning. there have been several different ideas for this, we need to discuss how to do this and not be vulnerable to fraud. ideally the max holders will have .03 giving the top 100 a maximum of 3% of the distribution.

There are many different ways we believe we can achieve this, if you have any ideas, please let us know


Sustainability
Create a chain that is secure and does not harm or oppress people or our environment. One that does not have or require a leader or control of large centrally managed funds. One that is a guerilla effort always in communication with the rest of the network yet individually powerful and autonomous. Like a network of mycelium, constantly expanding and feeding and supported off its previous growth


Transparency
"In secrecy there is power, in transparency there is accountability, with accountability there is responsibility, everybody wants power but who wants responsibility? "

The blockchain gives us a base for transparency, though it doesn't have any control over the off chain governance and information streams, whale groups of early or big investors can trade on information from closed teams in quiet rooms while the rest of the "small fish" are in a frenzied panic. We will create an open atmosphere environment in which anyone can participate in the conversation. ofcourse this doesnt mean everyone will have the same value added to their opinion(different skills and experience to everyone) though this process is alot more natural and allows us to take advantage of all the resources in the community and also be able to steer away from obstacles etc ahead of time due to the ability of onlookers to actually see what is happening, always open behind the scenes


Usability, Accessibility
A chain with a community collective focus, one which allows people to express themselves in an open forum for the best of the platform and the community as a whole, one that is built on the foundation of an appreciation of the communities importance to the success of the project. This appreciation should lead us to have a service focus, one which aims at facilitating the community needs within the ecosystem and ensures the intrinsic value through its utility and proliferation.



How will we solve this?

If we can provide an environment which is positive, encouraging, rational and respectful, one that is free from censorship and is open to criticism we can essentially use this platform to express and scrutinize each others ideas and implementations.

Our ambition is to grow our community team and define our best course of action, pick the chain which is closest to our desired implementation and to go from there. If another better solution comes along, we are loyal to our desire to provide a solution and not to the solution itself, if it is in our best interests, we will move over, together, taking only our database of accounts and values.

Hey guys, I am interested in trying a chain startup

I was wondering if its possible to add a feature of staking to DPOS chains like NANO. I can see chains like STEEM that run off DPOS and allow several types of reward systems with their inflation rate, I wonder the intricacies of setting this up in a way that automatically rewards EVERYONE on the network a certain ratio every so often

after wrestling with some issues for the last couple months, I decided to move on from ECA, I still hang out with the community, though I wanted to help make a clear distinction, I was not associated with Electra01, I believed in ECA and our collective vision up until recently. I have my reasons, most are relatively subjective.

If anything ever happens with ECA, look for someone else to blame, I'm no longer part of it

yeah, I can definitely see something like this happening, I wonder though if base currency alone can be a standalone use case, I guess what bitcoin is, though somehow better xD

I quite like NANO actually and am wondering what you and others think about it

there is much bitcoin love, and I feel that too haha xD, though I often wonder why we cant use all that energy for something meaningful, this I think is why I am a little more fond of something like ethereum as there is still a fair amount of power consumption though it is atleast for some deliberate and productive process instead of just a lifting contest

if the lightning network can rollout and segwit is adopted everywhere, I think bitcoin can definitely keep its position a little longer, though I sincerely wonder how much energy really needs to be consumed for each transaction and if this ratio will be meaningfully reduced as there are a greater number of transactions entering the network

you make an interesting post, I do see potential for bitcoin becoming more and more open to absorbing the best developments in other currencies, it makes me wonder though if they can avoid dogmatic obstacles that they've been blockaded by in the past and move forward with their tech in other ways then building around it as it seems like we are doing now xD

smart contracts do definitely have their role, especially in creating a decentralized world, and ofcourse it gives you greater freedoms to employ processes like a universal basic income and also a greater flexibility in designing a fair and equal platform for governance.

I dont often actually consider the basic income part, I wonder how such a thing is implemented, I wonder how much information they need and how they counter fraud of their service etc which would kind of undermine the sustainability of the project.

in saying that, I wonder how far one can go in either direction, either privacy or transparency, especially when we want both services to be available, both the privacy and also the ability to provide greater opportunities for the underpriviledged(UBI, voting etc)

its very hard to get the right mix and I often wonder if its possible at all xD

yeah definitely, if the lightning network can fill its claims its actually pretty close to a perfect currency, though bitcoin seems a little difficult to further develop at the moment due to certain beurocracies, the system is tested and proven for many years. Though bitcoin is also quite resource intensive and makes one wonder if the consumption of so much energy is really necessary for such a process, I mean, ofcourse in time technologies will improve, though to remain competitive there will always be further upgrades and such, likely to further fueling the cycle to remain indefinitely

there may be better ways than this, regardless of how prolific it is today, I think there is room for bitcoin to lose dominance, will be interesting to see how it goes though, it almost looks like everyone feels the same way about the dominance of bitcoin and its ability to endure and grow

ethereum is very cool indeed!, I dont see why a currency cant be one with the system in which most of the applications you use are developed on it, ofcourse can always go further and use that outside of the system like we do now xD

have you also checked out projects like EOS and NEO? they have some similarities and also big differences in other areas, curiously is there something about ethereum that you feel far outweighs some developments in some other smart contract platforms? either governance, economic system or utility?

I also wonder about coins that are just about performing the job of a currency well, by ticking as many of our boxes as possible, hopefully hitting each one quite high on the spectrum(fairness, accessibility, etc). A currency like NANO for example, what do you guys think of this one? do you think there is any less possibility the network will run without clear incentives for people to run the node(besides availability of service etc) or do you think funds can become locked up and lose liquidity as the network grows if there is no inflation rate somewhere in the system?

hey bros, I am fairly new here and have only really been in crypto seriously for about a year, jumping around from coin to community often feeling a void somewhere and wonder if there are any enthusiasts also feeling the same that may have similar ideas and are open and willing to work together towards a common goal. How do you feel about working together?

I see there are now at least a couple thousand crypto-currency projects and many of them are open source with quite liberal licensing. I wonder if one could not pick and choose through the crypto buffet and create the perfect currency chain?

Ofcourse this is very subjective, we all have different perspectives and therefore completely different ways of interpreting the system and its benefit to harm ratio. If we could be compassionate and open minded, and consider the implications of the systems on all of its constituents we would surely create a system that is simple, secure, accessible, fair, provides equal opportunity and does not oppress or harm people or our environment. I think if all we want to do is keep account, that should be pretty good base to aim for? what do you think?

I honestly dont know where some of this comes from, try to be rational and reasonable. I dont have any power over CM, I cant get my money, or your money out, I'm just being hopeful that it comes back, we are planning(as a group) different strategies to ease the pain, though your not helping the situation at all.

I bought all my Electra, majority of it from coinsmarkets, I always advised people to move their coins off, so maybe you were being dismissive, ignorant or stubborn?
