1  Economy / Economics / What is the most influential factor that triggers bitcoin prices to fall down? on: January 26, 2018, 04:00:08 PM
Bitcoin is very volatile. It goes up and down at no time. But I started to think what causes its values to go down. These past few days, its prices are notably lower that last year's values. Last year, I believe, during the first few months, its prices are likewise low. Do bitcoin prices go down every January to February? Does it have a logical association?

Of course! Especially when you are onto trading of bitcoins.

Hi chrmn27,

I think the one who put a red tag on you is pertaining to this post. I'm fortunate I haven't receive a negative rating yet but sometimes I experience my post being deleted as it does not qualify to be a quality post or may have been irrelevant to the board which I have posted it.

You can try to read the topic below.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1689727.msg16958010#msg16958010

I can't really answer what is relevant or what is not a relevant post but I think the content should be able to express your opinion with a supporting statement as to why it is your position.

Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter?
Of course Bitcoin price Matter! This is especially true when you are into trading Bitcoins since the price at the time you acquire your Bitcoin directly affect your profit in the future. Lets take for example last December 2017, if you were able to acquire Bitcoin when the price is at $10,000 then sold it when the price hit around $19,000-$20,000, this will give you the optimum profit in trading. However if you acquired your bitcoin in December when the price is at $16,000 and you hold it until January 2018, when the price of Bitcoin dipped back to $10,000 you can say that you have experienced a loss. Thus, we can say that the price of Bitcoin is relevant and it matters particularly in Trading Bitcoin.

The example above is one which try to expound your original thought or Idea. You can actually include  trading of Altcoins in this to further provide impact of Bitcoin price in trading.

I tried checking on the profile of the one who gave you a negative trust and he has this on his profile.

"IF YOU HAVE RED TRUST: Improve your post quality within a week. Don't post on massive threads or threads that have no valuable discussion. This includes (but is not limited to) general threads such as "bitcoin is $x" or "gold or bitcoin?" etc. If you can do that then the tag will be removed. Generally, if it takes a minute per post (finding a thread and then posting) then you're shitposting."

He/she is already a Legendary rank and might be one who tries to help regulate this forum.

Good luck to us and More power.

Thanks for explaining. Luckily, when I checked my profile, the negative trust was gone.

The negative trust was introduced to report and flag scammers to prevent other people from falling into the same trap. It is kind of like a rating system to separate the honest users from the scammers. If you were scammed and you could prove it, then you can flag these scammers with a negative trust.

The opposite is also true, because you want to highlight the trustworthy users on the forum with a positive rating.

Unfortunately a lot of people are misusing the trust system to punish users for personal vendettas or if they have received some negative comments from them. This influence people's behaviour, because they are hesitant to post something that might offend other users. <positive criticism, not blatant personal attacks>

Just ask this person politely to change their mind and try to resolve this situation without further conflict.

I did. I already did. But I got no response. I believe I don't deserve that negative trust.
5  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Drug free in the Philippines on: January 23, 2018, 04:33:48 AM
I don't think the Philippines will be a drug-free nation. Although today's administration is really persevere in terms of eradicating drugs in the country, there are still who will be untamed. I'm afraid that after this administration our country will be back to what it was before  I hope not.

I was given a negative trust with a reason "shitposting scammer". I asked her/him but I got no respond. Now I wanna know what are the grounds to be given a negative trust and how reliable those people who give negative trusts to others. Are they evaluating someone else's posts thoroughly or do they just give negative trusts out of boredom?

8  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: January 22, 2018, 02:09:50 PM
The price of bitcoin matters for those who are investing btc. However, we can not neglect the fact that there are a huge number of people who are not aware of bitcoin or even if they are aware of it, they pay no interest. So, does the price of bitcoin matters? In the first place, does bitcoin even concern you? If yes, then its price matters. If not, then it is obviously the other way around.

11  Economy / Economics / Re: why do people agree to pay taxes? on: January 13, 2018, 05:08:41 AM
Well whether the people agree or not, doesn't matter. The government has a sovereignty which includes imposition of tax. Taxes are the lifeblood of a country. It is very crucial in perpetually responding to the people's needs like infrastructure, health facilities, educational programs, etc. In the end, it all comes back to the people. So, it is just and right to pay taxes.
12  Economy / Economics / Re: What kind of global issues can move bitcoin price? on: January 12, 2018, 02:57:29 PM
Intensive prohibition of crypto currencies will do.
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will be the consequences of increasing demand to bitcoin? on: January 11, 2018, 01:17:39 PM
Increasing demand of bitcoin will trigger a tremendous increase in its price. Since more and more people go after it, sellers will have a good time enjoying bigger profits from selling bitcoin.

15  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think bitcoin redistributes wealth or just makes the wealthy richer? on: January 11, 2018, 12:56:53 PM
It redistributes wealth. I know some who are onto bitcoin. They are just earning what is enough but when they started doing bitcoin, they also began earning extra money which they saved. It gives chance to others to earn extra income and be wealthier than they thought they could be.
16  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we totally eliminate all the banks in this world? on: January 11, 2018, 12:53:03 PM
Of course not! Banks have been existing for a very long long time now and are part of most of people’s lives. We can not eliminate banks coz they are one of the ‘regulators of money’.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: What makes Bitcoin to move this fast? on: January 10, 2018, 01:22:07 PM
The reason behind this movement is the rising demand of the people. Since more and more people are being interested in bitcoin, it’s prices tend to go up. This, also adds up to the movement of bitcoin. As it’s prices go up, more and more and more people will go after it.
18  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How to overcome depression? on: January 10, 2018, 12:34:54 PM
How to survive depression? Well it is a difficult task to do. First, you should have the willingness to overcome it. Second, there must be someone who shall cheer you up. The concept of having friends comes in. Third, find your meaning. Dig your meaning. Don't lose hope. It is better to look for things that can make you smile, laugh, entertained and be comfortable.
19  Economy / Economics / Re: Being a Smart Person or Strategic on: January 10, 2018, 12:30:52 PM
I would choose, a strategic person. Why? Well, a person can be smart if he has been honed mainly by reading books. It can be mold by time. However, being a strategic person demands a kind of thinking that shall be innate or molded by experience. A strategic person is better than a smart person because a smart person can not survive without being able to strategize things. But a strategic peraon can survive with just his ability.
20  Economy / Economics / Re: Where do you spend your money from Bitcoin? on: January 10, 2018, 12:59:56 AM
I haven't earned money from bitcoin yet. But if I will earn from it, I will buy appliances for our house like washing machine, refrigerator. I will also purchase other things for my personal needs and wants something we can consider personal investment. I also wish to take my Master's degree.
