Next 48 hours ? !!! yay Sorry for the interruption guys, someone was pointing a super-huge ddos botnet to suprnova during the night, didn't see that before in this size.
Most of the IP's are blocked now, I've set the fee to 0 % on the pool for now and will also include some bonuses for compensation of the downtime during the next days.
My (D)DoS sentinel is trained to the new scenario so that shouldn't happen again.
0% fee and 15 % Bonus for now and the next 8-9 h

It doesn't look like they're cracking down on mining... there's no visible or tangible signs yet. Rumours around Bitmain setting up data centers in Europe and Canada have emerged, but nothing tangible. The chinese website Alibaba.com is still listing miners for sale, so I'd take any news you read with a pinch of salt check https://www.alibaba.com/showroom/s9-antminer.html

I'm trying to buy SHA256 hash power on nicehash's marketplace my contract keeps going to "dead" status even though I increase my price and am paying more than other "active" contracts.. Anyone has experienced this? I'm looking for tips to get my hash power served... it's a smaller contract (bit more than the lowest limit amount)

nicehash is not the best. If you're in AMD RX470/480/570/580 here's what I recommend You want to play it safe and cash early ? mine ethereum with nanopool You want to speculate and make a lot more (but have to wait and HODL for weeks)? mine smaller altcoins like ETN, ELLA, PIRL and see the prices pump few weeks after You're just starting and don't understand most of this, and accept making lower profits? use nicehash

Totally agree... mix and matching AMD/Nvidia is not trivial as depending on what miners you use it might not be so easy For instance Claymore's Ethereum mining would work on both Nvidia & AMD however its Cryptonote (XMR/ETN) is only AMD, you need a separate software for Nvidia I would recommend trying to get 2 AMD RX 580 it's more profitable than the GTX 1060 however not by much (for the past few months atleast)

My concern with Nicehash is that they hold you money for several days and then use bitcoin which is expensive to move around (if you only have 1 rig like myself). It doesn't really matter.... Whatever coin you mine you can always exchange it for whatever coin you want to HODL or for BTC on any exchange.... I mine ETH on nanopool 15 days a month and use whattomine.com to find another alt to mine the other days (tried PIRL, ELLA, ETN) So far I made 4 times my investment in just over 5 months... ETH and alt prices keep going up so dont worry about the current price

Most of the traffic is on Bithumb, because there are no trading fees there, the same accounts have been trading back and forth in order to inflate the price, this is a giant price manipulation, the same thing happened with BitcoinCash recently...who can seriously believe that a Korean exchange could have 5 times the traffic of Bitfinex " Customers of the South Korean exchange Bithumb witness that, during the last take-off of the Ripple price, the exchange platform did not allow placing orders to sell below a certain level. One of the users of Bithumb published a screenshot from the Korean forum on the Reddit forum..." Decentralized exchanges such as Bitshares & NVO are needed more than ever. Bithumb price as of now ~$4 , everywhere else ~$2.5 ...IMH take your money and run Your lies are easy to reveal: https://www.bithumb.com/u1/US138You did see that "fixed price coupon" option right ? means you pay a small fee to trade billions....

Hey mate, I'm not sure why you're saying that... I mean XMR is not the most profitable alt right now, but according to whattomine.com it's still very profitable check it out https://whattomine.com/coins/101-xmr-cryptonightIf Electroneum is a fork of Monero, I hope the mining situation doesn't end up like Monero.
Monero is essentially unprofitable if you start mining now. You will never recoup your hardware investment.

I really think that electroneum has one thing going for it. A great marketing team. I just wish they had made POS coin which would be applicable to mobile devices. I do think that this was a missed opportunity. Anyone ready to fork?
This is already a fork of monero is it not? It is a fork of monero ... they just built a mobile and web wallet on top

yup ! the buy book seems solid... I personally went full on ETN on cryptopia ... if it dying it would have dumped to 100 satoshis or less
after the relaunch tomorrow expect it to go up real fast also remember it hasnt hit the main exchanges yet
is the airdrop over? this coin seems just too random

I've applied to enhanced verification with the ID document and selfie... fingers crossed !

Can I ask which country is your friend from ?

cryptonight = 450 vs 690 neoscrypt = 500 vs 1000
So if you run Cryptonight hashing, the four 1070 cards will produce 900 more hashes vs six 1060 cards if you run Neoscrypt hashing, the four 1070 cards will produce 1000 more hashes vs six 1060 cards
So yes, its better to run four 1070 ti cards than six 1060 cards!!!!!
have you ruled out AMD cards completely? currently RX480/580/570 will get you around 22 Mh/s EThash or 700 H/s cryptonight so significantly more than the Nvidia ones for cheaper.... I do understand some people are "just Nvidia" for some reason

nice initiative... what power price / khw are you using to compute electricity cost?

yup copy the 3 lines of your public addess from the PDF offline wallet to notepad and merge them into one line - no spaces... this would be your proper public address to use in a mining pool ex: public key on the offline wallet pdf is : aaaaaaa bbbbbbb cccccccc
public key to use in mining (or receiving in general) : aaaaaaabbbbbbbcccccccc hope this helps!
the pool is stable and throughput is steady !!! I think they are less efficient that other pools however you get atleast stability and long term mining without having to worry about your pool going down ! The minimum payment is too high though... 500 ETN minimum (1000 by default)

to be clear ethminer and claymore will NOT work on a card with less than 3G VRAM. It has to do with the DAG size. again not judging just trying to give you clear info, don't try to mine ETH with your hardware
Hey everyone is there any overclock or undervolt settings to tune for this miner? coming from mining ETH where memory overclock was key I'm not sure how to tune for XMR/ETN Thanks for any hints
