1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [LTC] An (even more) optimized version of cpuminer on: July 15, 2013, 05:12:19 PM
A couple of Windows users reported what is probably the same issue over a month ago: https://github.com/pooler/cpuminer/issues/21
Two other Windows users I asked said they could download the archives and run the miner with no problem at all, though, so I closed the issue when the original reporter stopped answering my questions.
For what it's worth, I have no problem accessing the files hosted at Sourceforge, so I'd be grateful if you could provide some more detail. Operating system, browser information, and what error you get exactly would be a good start.
Please also try to download the files from this page and see if there's any difference.

Sorry, but no difference.
I've tried on Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox - both tries failed.

On Google Chrome - I've got error "unexpected network error"
On Mozilla Firefox - error "File can't be saved - Mozilla can't read the source file" (I've translate it from my language, so the error may be little different)

I use Win 7 32-bit

I suspect it is your antivirus or firewall... Avast identified it as a threat. It is just a false positive.

firewall off and still the same thing, dunno how to turn off avast, i am also using Win 7, but 64 bits

3  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how many hours for 1 BTC at 300 Mhash? on: July 15, 2013, 05:22:45 AM
simple question, i have heard that it would take me around 24 hours, the bitcoin calculator says more than 100 days and so on, so i'd like a real answer.

About 100 days.  You really though you could make ~$100 a day with a single GPU which costs $300. Smiley

yes, i did, thanks for the answer, i think the only easy way to get BTC its to actually buy several computers focused on the task, i guess i can say goodbye to earning BTC.

You receive something only when the pool find a block, so of course if you mine for some minutes you will see 0, check again once it find a block, you should have something.

Note that mining with 300mh/s is just lost time and lost power these days

but before i was minning at 2.5 mhash with CPU (i was getting 300 with GPU) and it got like 1 block for every 30 minutes or so, so, if i mine with ATI, how much time should i wait?

Okay i hate my eyebrows so much like seriously, everything about them is terrible lol, they are so so so thick, like wire.

i'll be taking this off topic.

My eyebrows are also thick, i love them, they make my face scary, i look like a russian terrorist leader
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Question regarding BTC mining on: July 14, 2013, 03:56:17 AM
I wanted to ask about how does the webpage register when i earn bitcoins or i dont, i am using MultiBit, wich i used to make a wallet and get the adress, wich i inserted into the Slush pool webpage, and then i login with my worker username and pass to the Slush pool, but after going for some minutes at 300 Mhash i checked back at the slush webpage and find out that not even 0.00000001 bitcoins were added to my account, i'd like to know if that was normal or if i was doing something wrong. after all, i barely started mining BTC a few days ago.

I am using GUIMiner, if it is important.
