1  Bitcoin / Pools / Missing credit on: November 02, 2014, 09:47:48 PM
This is the e-mail I sent to Graet a few hours ago:
Quote
Hi Graet,
I'm writing this e-mail because I don't find you on IRC anymore.
As you know, about a month ago the pool had a problem and all the round credits have been zeroed.
I lost almost 0,3 BTC that day (see the attached screenshot) and so far they have not been restored.
I and others are waiting for you to fix the issue, only then we could consider to come back to the pool.
I'd appreciate the courtesy of a reply.
Regards,

MyName

(if the forum says "Invalid image", see it here: http://ln.command-k.net/BOfe)

Let's see if, when and how Graet will respond.

Bitmonitor got blocked by the pool automated scraping rules. I've cleared the block and hopefully it should work now.

Thank you but it still doesn't work, at least for me.

Email admin@mmpool.org with the new coin addresses and your account name. Also list your existing coin addresses. They can be added to your existing account.

Nice! Smiley

I've started to use this pool a few days ago (I'm coming from the one-issue-a-day Ozcoin pool… Roll Eyes) and I have some questions:

1) Bitmonitor doesn't seem to work.
When I put in my mmpool.org username, I get this error:
Code:
Could not connect: Access denied for user 'bitmonitor'@'localhost' (using password: YES)Could not select db: Access denied for user 'bitmonitor'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

2) I registered a username with bitcoin, namecoin, ixcoin and devcoin addresses.
Now I want to add i0coin and groupcoin addresses but we are in the middle of a round and I don't want to start again to build the DGM and PPS payouts from scratch under another user account. If I register another account with the same addresses I used in the first one, will the current payouts be retained?

3) What's the "Round CDF" number?

TIA.

Potrò pure decidere di lavorare gratis, no?

Thanks Graet for fixing the bonus rewards count and the stats issue.

only 3 rounds left with this round of incentives

Since the start of incentives the pool found 6 blocks and I remember you wrote that the bonus would have lasted 10 blocks.
So why there are only 3 rounds left? Shouldn't they be 4?

Beside that, Graet, could you please answer to the concerns about hashrate and share count I exposed in this post?

Today I've also noticed that there are more invalid than valid shares!
Check it by yourself here (this is a screenshot of the data I'm seeing, just in case).
Raw data is:
Quote
Current Round:
Round Dur.   1 Days 13 Hours 5 Minutes
Speed      1,555,822.29 GHash/s
Worker      122
User         75
Valid Sh.      10,094,874,140
Invalid Sh.      13,566,097,014
Est. Payout   25.21159654
Donation      2.05%
Eff.         42.66%
Maybe it has something to do with the "missing shares" mystery?

There is something I don't understand going on here.
According to the pool's hashrate graph and my own observations, Ozcoin pool is running over 1 PH/s for more than 24 hours now.
To be more precise, the graph reports that in the last 24 hours it ran at an average hashrate of about 1,061,302 GH/s (I tried to attach an image of the graph but I get the "bitcointalk.org image proxy invalid image" error, so you have to go here to see it).
I checked with gribble in the #ozcoin IRC chat room and it says:

Quote
XFox ;;gentime [bc,ozcoin]
gribble The average time to generate a block at 1187338931.0 Mhps, given difficulty of 23844670038.8, is 23 hours, 57 minutes, and 34 seconds

But ozbot and website reports that we still found only 34.50% of diff:

Quote
XFox .site
ozbot This round (3d 0h 30m) we have 8226859901 shares, avg 1187.34 TH/s | 34.50% of diff | 68 users

Shouldn't we already be near 100% of diff??
Am I missing something, is the share count wrong, are there missing shares somewhere or what? Huh

I found the root of the continuing MobileMiner issues and have updated to fix that as well as added some sanity checks in hope of fixing the mysterious and elusive crashing bug some users are experiencing on second app launch.

With 1.5.20b2 I see this error in system log (e-mail address and application key obscured):
Code:
08/05/14 16:19:35,357 MacMiner[72481]: Error getting https://api.mobileminerapp.com/api/RemoteCommands?emailAddress=xxx@xxx.xxx&applicationKey=xxxx-xxxx-xxxx&apiKey=26efrOXrizmEF3, HTTP status code 404

should now work as well

Sorry for being so late on this but, yep, it works also by FQDN now, good job! Cheesy

OT:

Hi BitBacco,
since you are so active tonight I'm reporting a few issues and feature requests! Grin
• Adding networked miners to the API Output window still doesn't work by FQDN, it only works by IP.
• Each time I start CG Miner I get this alert about OS X 10.9 drivers but I'm on OS X 10.8! Couldn't it be possible to make it appears only on Mavericks system?
• CPU Miner on MacMiner 1.5.16 is broken, it reports:
Code:
dyld: Library not loaded: @executable_path/../../libidn/lib/libidn.11.dylib
  Referenced from: /Applications/MacMiner.app/Contents/Resources/curl/lib/libcurl.4.dylib
  Reason: image not found
• The new "View" --> "Show GPU Miner" menu has a space between the two last words whereas the "Show CPUMiner" and "Show CGMiner" menus don't… it's purely cosmetic but I think they should all be written in a way or the other. The same applies to the windows' title.
• In the Preferences window there is still written "BFG Miner" instead of "GPU Miner".
• When MacMiner opens the GPU Miner window is always displayed, even if the GPU Miner checkbox in the Preferences --> "When MacMiner opens, starts:" is unchecked. This is annoying for users that don't use it, could it be possible to modify MacMiner to display only the miners' windows of checked "When MacMiner opens, starts:" checkbox? Perhaps, when there is no "starts" checkbox ticked and no custom pools configured, when MacMiner is launched it could display the Preference window, so that new users don't feel lost with no windows appearing on the screen when they launch MacMiner.
• The "Save" button in Preferences is so windowish… Undecided
• Could you add a preference to disable "miner has started, the primary pool is set to…" alerts each time a miner is started?

As always thank you very much for all your hard work! Smiley

If you are using SeaMonkey (or Firefox, I assume, I don't use it) you have to click the "unblock" button on the toolbar that appears at the top of the window to actually display almost all charts. It the problem is something else, please post a screenshot of what you see because they are definitively working for me (except for the pool's hashrate graph, as I said).
14  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: [COINBASE] Doppia transazione - Bug del sistema on: February 12, 2014, 02:34:00 PM
a me invece sembra essere arrivato da "Play and Win BTC"... Undecided

15  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: [COINBASE] Doppia transazione - Bug del sistema on: February 12, 2014, 12:10:13 AM

https://blockchain.info/tx-index/66dea29bf850b428a2c6db513077d02703abf51d27b863a6928321b87823d77f
https://blockchain.info/tx-index/e0ce23d299bb1b7decdf86522c023554bbdeab80cebcca6aa09f01a86c65d10e

Thanks BTCLuke, it is actually working now, don't know why I was seeing the old page before.
I'll pass the word along to my bitcoin-enabled friends! Smiley

What's the state of this project?
According to BTCLuke, site should already be online now.
Moreover, as of today it is still showing "This site will not be revealed until January 28th 2014."… Huh
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The official MacMiner thread [BTC/LTC-CPU/GPU/FPGA/ASIC] on: February 04, 2014, 12:31:36 AM
I made more tests and I think it's a bug related to the BFG Miner autostart checkbox:
- if I tick the BFG Miner autostart checkbox, when I launch MacMiner both BFG Miner and CPU Miner are started;
- if I untick the BFG Miner autostart checkbox, when I launch MacMiner neither BFG Miner or CPU Miner are started.
Can you reproduce the issue?
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The official MacMiner thread [BTC/LTC-CPU/GPU/FPGA/ASIC] on: February 02, 2014, 06:38:27 PM
Thank you BitBacco!
Now BFG Miner autostarts correctly but each time I start MacMiner, CPU Miner is autostarted, too, even if the checkbox for CPU Miner in MacMiner's Preferences is not checked.
