1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any way to destroy the bitcoin? on: December 10, 2017, 04:03:28 PM
One way  that can bring down bitcoin just like any market is by shorting that market too much or a typical pump and dump. Investors would lose interest, market would plummet, bubble will pop.
2  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is like heroin on: December 10, 2017, 03:40:55 PM
Bitcoin is a gamble. Gambling, like use of substances increases dopamine release in our brain also known as the "reward" center. This is one factor that contributes to it being habit-forming and even addicting. Especially when we see that we are gaining something out of it.
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: NOW IS THE TIME TO BUY!! on: December 10, 2017, 12:58:42 PM
I agree that now is the time to study and understand investing in bitcoin but not necessarily buy. Prices can b tracked and be used to predict future price using technical analysis. Check for the possible dips in the price then buy and enter the market. When the price bounces up, then there will surely be profit already.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is bitcoin the most popular cryptocurrency? on: December 10, 2017, 12:44:13 PM
Being a pioneer in a specific field is a very important advantage. This is the main reason bitcoin is the most popular and leading cryptocurrency. It's like exploring uncharted territories. All resources and opportunities can be utilized with no other competitions yet.
6  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Let's talk about Gambling on: December 10, 2017, 11:48:19 AM

Set you goal or target para alam mo when to stop kasi minsan pera na nagiging bato pa.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost Opportunity on: December 10, 2017, 04:41:19 AM
Opportunity is not really lost. In every market there are always ups and downs. You'll never run out of opportunity if you're really into it, if you really put a effort to understand it. One good opportunity is the recent dip in BTC price. Some looks at it as a SALE, an opportunity to buy at a lower price and then wait for the price to bounce up and there you'll have it. PROFIT.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the factors that affect the rise and fall of the BTC? on: December 05, 2017, 04:18:35 PM
Like in any form of market, prices of commodities are driven by the balance of supply in demand. As the demand outbalances the supply price will go up and vice versa. In the case of bitcoin, there is too much demand regardless of its real world value thereby increasing the price in a very short period of time  by a very large percentage. This is as evidenced by its almost vertical price chart over the previous months.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who can destroy Bitcoin ? on: December 05, 2017, 03:42:55 PM
Central bank and government of various countries by putting a ban on it thereby decreasing the demand.
So called "whales" or people who have large volume of coins by driving prices too low that investors would lose interest.
Those who would "short" the market.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you convince the people to invest in Bitcoin? on: December 05, 2017, 03:03:39 PM
One sure way of convincing people to invest in bitcoin is to guide them step by step in starting in bitcoin investment. When they see for themselves that they are earning money, that's when they'll be truly convinced.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about bitcoin? on: December 05, 2017, 02:50:54 PM
First encountered it while i'm doing my readings for stock market and since i'm already trading stocks, it got my curiosity. trading equities and crypto has similar basic principles. It's just that bitcoin is more volatile than equities.
12  Local / Pilipinas / Re: ⛂⛃⛂IBAHAGI ANG ALAM SA TRADING ⛂⛃⛂ on: December 05, 2017, 02:24:32 PM
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? on: December 05, 2017, 01:38:33 PM
Turning all your money to bitcoins is not a smart move. Bitcoin investment cannot be readily liquidated and may take sometime so it will be a problem in cases of emergency that you'll need readily available money. Always invest what you do not need immediately and keep a certain amount at hand, you'll never know when you'll need it. Also there are still only few establishments/businesses that uses bitcoin.
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: Waiting for the dip to buy, but its not coming... on: December 05, 2017, 01:23:00 PM
waiting for dips before entering may be an option but it may take a long time.
Why not enter now and gain profit as the price increases instead of just waiting with no gains at all.
Just be observant of the price action and set your stop loss so you would still have gain in case the price goes down.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do some government ban bitcoin? on: December 05, 2017, 12:34:39 PM
Some government wants a ban on bitcoin since there is no capital gains tax chargeable on bitcoin. Only bitcoin mining and businesses operating on bitcoin are taxable.
16  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is 50% correction on BTC possible? on: December 05, 2017, 12:21:38 PM
A correction that big is really possible in any market, especially in a very volatile market with no visible fundamentals of the investments such as the case of cryptocurrency.
Having said such,it all depends on the sentiment of the market on whether greed or fear will dominate.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Millennials chose Bitcoin over Traditional banking on: December 05, 2017, 12:06:16 PM
Many people, I included really prefer bitcoin over traditional banking because of greater return of investment.
Traditional banking is also an investment but with very minimal gains due to low interest rates.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin, is it really just a bubble? on: December 05, 2017, 11:38:59 AM
Bitcoin has recently been a hot topic among many people, economist especially. But as it moves towards the $12,000 index many are having doubts as to how stable the market for bitcoin really is. Just recently, an expert from Yale who was considered as Wall Street's most influential economist described it as a dangerous speculative bubble due to its lack of intrinsic underlying economic value to the concept.

Despite the lack of understanding of its mechanics by lots of investors, why and how does it continue to prosper?

Is it really just a bubble? And if it is, when is this bubble going to burst?
