Ken mentioned progress with his "partners", meaning more than 1.  So who is he working with other than eASIC?  I speculate he has recently picked up a job at McDonalds.

Lol. Most likely reffering the PCB/assembly engineers.

All hardware is profitable until it doesn't pay the electricity bill anymore, that's the point where the switch is flipped. Tongue
Almost agree.   But I would argue that marginal value will get low enough, people will shut off sooner.   Like the USB miner that crashes occasionally and has 0.28 GH/s, am I really going to take an hour to get it back mining on a 1 PH/s network?   That is one piece of it that I see that a pure marginal return model does not predict accurately.    Even these effing avalons at some point I could see turning off because the coins are not going to be worth the howling of the fans and the heat pain in the ass.
Then there is the myth about how easy it is to roll out 100TH/s or 500TH/s (lol) mining farms.   Even with 1/2 hour to think about this and the electricity required/cooling required should make most people into doubters.
They will roll out, but not quickly and not without a lot of capital.   Any one ever wonder why FriedCat does not hold 45% of the market?   Or why he sells product? Because he cannot power the boards himself.

On this topic, what is the Activemining plan for mining with their machines?

Sure the 28nm will be more efficient, but how much hashing could Ken even operate at his facility?

Okay, this is DEFINITELY a scam, I've got proof.

If you go to http://www.metaneural.com/about.html and look at the team, look at the first picture. Now go here: http://www.wetpaint.com/the-bachelorette/articles/how-does-jp-rosenbaum-stay-so-businessman-hot-all-the-time

They just took random images and made it the team. Be CAREFUL people don't put your money here.

So unless JP Rosenbaum IS John Titer... or John Titer is pulling a "Catfish" because he thinks JB has a nicer looking pic... then this really looks mighty fishy.

And the coindesk article quotes a John Jones at Metaneural.. Lots of Johns over there apparently.

That they listed 40% returns over 3 months in the first place is ridiculous as their trade engine is currently at 31% over 6 months. http://www.myfxbook.com/members/metaneural

OK it's been an eventful 24hrs so now with things a bit quieter on here I'd like to suggest a game.

The problem with checking in on the ACtM threads every 1 or 2 hrs looking at the very latest posting and being ready to dump all your shares at the drop of a hat is you can fall victim to the sort of false news release we saw yesterday. Sadly there are probably people buying back right now above .005 who sold at .004, or worse still they are waiting to buy back at .004 but it may never go there again and they will begrudgingly buy back at .006 or .007. A tragedy.

Now the game is this, what would the situation be if you secured your shares at btc-e/bitfunder then logged out of bitcoin forum today and didn't come back for 3months? What would you come back to?

Just a bit of fun. Any answers should include what you may think will happen with ACtM news releases, progress made over the 3 months, share price in 3months and route it took to get there, dividend payments, BTC price and anything else that might be of interest.

So in 3months time where will we be?

In 3 months ... lets see ...

- but still no news on eAsic ... NDA, confidentiality blah

Ken said more news in several weeks. Should be a press release at the minimum well before 3 months.

Why are Div's being delayed a week?

Please tell me, how do you pay dividends if you have no PL statement for the period you pay dividends for?
If ActiveMining can not produce a fkn PL statement before 15th of every month (no idea why it take so long!) how do you expect them do distribute the fkn profits? Invent a number and pay? Fabulous idea indeed!
Or is this "dividend" something else that rest of the world considers a dividend?

Amazing!

Pretty sure Ken just takes the mining revenue and splits it up between exchanges proportional to the share numbers on each.

It is ridiculous that there isnt a formal process for any of this stuff. But don't worry Ken is superman and needs no help.

Not only share price but enormous revenue from hardware sales.  This is something that seems to go over most people's head.  This is this assets greatest value.

Wouldn't hardware revenue necessarily be reflected in the share price or dividends?

I'm not saying that the share value will be worth $1,000,000 in 12 months but that it's entirely possible that someone who today owns 50,000 shares will be be $1,000,000 better off than they are right now.

If the share value in 12 months is 0.08 btc thats $400,000 with bitcoin being valued at $100.

Add to that the divs from mining revenue which won't take you up to $1,000,000.

That leaves the divs from selling hardware, payed together with the mining divs.  It's here that I forsee the greatest gains and I honestly believe that we are in for an almighty shock when the numbers start coming in.

This was our biggest coup when AMC became ActM.

If my speculation is way off the mark, let's says by a 50% over estimation, then what if the value of bitcoin in 12 months is actually $200 or even higher?

Either way the future for ActM is very bright indeed.

Completely agree with your conclusions, just pointing out that once hardware revenues get paid as dividends the share price will rise in tandem.

Do we know if Ken has any plan on moving USD payments for hardware into bitcoin for dividend payments? He seemed to have a difficult time converting the NRE, and hopefully he plans on selling more than $1m worth of hardware..

You should read a more about mining, ASICs, and profitability. The forums here have some good information but you can google around and find nice tutorials as well.
