1  Bitcoin / Project Development / Unable to connect to Bitcoin core testnet remote on: December 08, 2017, 12:11:04 AM
Hello everyone,
I'm unable to connect to Bitcoin core testnet installed on windows server machine (remote). I'm using Nbitcoin.dll to connect to the same programmatically (C#).  At times it says - "unable to connect to remote server". I change the port to 18334. Now it says - its Unexpected character encountered while parsing value: <. Path '', line 0, position 0.

Please suggest how to proceed.

Thanks in Advance.

3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Running both instances BitCoinCore - Mainnet & Testnet altogether on: December 07, 2017, 12:16:23 PM
Hello Everyone,
Is it possible to run both instances of BitCoinCore - Mainnet & Testnet altogether on Windows Server? Currently Bitcoin Core (Mainnet) is performing some download. At this point while running testnet instance showing an error - "unable to start http server. see debug log for details"

Looking at debug.log showing up -

2017-12-07 11:52:42 Binding RPC on address :: port 18332 failed.
2017-12-07 11:52:42 Binding RPC on address 0.0.0.0 port 18332 failed.
2017-12-07 11:52:42 Unable to bind any endpoint for RPC server
2017-12-07 11:52:42 scheduler thread start
2017-12-07 11:52:47 scheduler thread interrupt
2017-12-07 11:52:47 Shutdown: In progress...
2017-12-07 11:52:47 Shutdown: done

Till the time mainnet is downloading i want to work through testnet. I looked at bitcoin.conf for both environments - it seems like mainnet is also using similar port.

Please suggest. How to proceed.

Thanks In Advance.

Ah..well, this is what i Did...I moved to run. typed in "%APPDATA%\Bitcoin\". I saw testnet3 & bitcoin.conf folder. Inside .conf i commented out testnet=1 through #. On running the orange Bitcoin app icon - its now running one with orange one. Not stating - Testnet anymore.

I guess its going in right direction!!!  Smiley

6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Bitcoin Core 0.15.1 for mainnet on: December 06, 2017, 07:45:07 PM
Hello Everyone,
I've downloaded & installed BitCoinCore 0.15.1 at my end. I want to make it work for mainnet. As soon as I run the application it shows "testnet" on the application. I've no option other than to stop it. I'm newbie to this. Please suggest how to proceed. Uninstalling testnet db data & installing data for mainnet only. (Didn't get much documentation on this.)

Thanks in Advance!!!
