1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A friend sent me .03 BTC - what to do now? on: December 13, 2017, 06:28:43 AM
You seem to be a budding entrepreneur if you don’t need the money then let it ride but make sure you store it somewhere you have full control over. You could also benefit from the wave of airdrops and Bitcoin forks which may add value also.

Thanks for the kind remarks and to everyone else for their valued input.
Thought I'd let everyone know I cashed out ~$400 worth and left roughly $150 to let it ride.
I made this decision based upon the holidays coming up and $400 would help out quite a bit.
However, I'm excited to see the $150 appreciate some nice value  Smiley

OP if the money means alot to you then you should cash out. Only invest what you can afford to lose, and know that bitcoin is not a "safe" investment. You should do a lot of research on it before you actually decide to invest.

I completely agree. Maybe the smartest thing is to leave $100 or so and cash out the rest.
I'd just be super bummed to cash out then see 19 or 20,000 tomorrow lol

So long story short, a friend owed me for a favor and since I did not have bitcoin before he asked If I would take it in BTC. I didn't mind since I can cash out whenever.
My question is.. what do you think? Its a decent chunk of money for me to just hope something keeps rising, do you think I should "let it ride" or cash out and just be happy with ~$500?

Hey dude do you have WhatsApp. I’ll give you some advice via email or WhatsApp.

Cheers,

Muffinmannn

No sorry - You can't just give advice through here?

I find bitcoin incredibly interesting and I know it sounds weird especially from someone's first post,
but Im extremely interested in seeing a coinbase wallet with a high balance (3+ BTC).
Just want to live vicariously through some of the lucky few  Cheesy
I would be willing to pay .00055BTC to anyone who could send me a screenshot of their coinbase wallet? I figured this forum was the best place to ask.

It's absolutely incredulous for anyone to believe you. However, I'm sure you would almost certainly get what you wanted because we live in a world where money rules.

Now let me guess. You've been in this forum and know your way around. So you just created this alt account to hide the fact that you wanted to do something nefarious.

Knowing the forum, you knew this isn't the right section to make such a demand or request because if you did it the right place, you'd be busted as a scammer.

Now, why do you need a screenshot of a coinbase wallet with substantial bitcoin balance in it?

To scam some gullible people out there with the misleading information that it's yours, isn't it.

That's bad...very bad.

Lol no, not at all and I genuinely would send the bitcoin first.. I just think its very interesting how high the price is. I hardly have any bitcoin (mostly cannot afford it) and wanted to see what it looked like on the exchange I use

Is it a coinbase Wallet?
PM me your address.

Just so you know, if you don't send a screenshot, I will give negative trust based upon a faulty transaction; Is this okay with you?

I never received a PM but I have a vague feeling you are just looking for a free .00055BTC and don't actually have what I'm looking for..
