1  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: IS MTGOX DOWN? on: September 10, 2013, 06:03:07 PM
Getting nervous. I want my BTC out already!
2  Economy / Services / Re: Butter Bot!: New Bitstamp, BTC-E, and MtGox EMA Trading Platform on: September 08, 2013, 08:29:40 PM
Did MTGox change their fee schedule and not update their page? The default fee for back-testing in BB is .55, which would be for BTC100 to <BTC200. I doubt most people using this will be trading that many coins ... for now.

Just FYI, everyone may want to adjust your fee according to this schedule: https://www.mtgox.com/fee-schedule

I tried the bot out for the 3 day trial period and ended up losing money on it. Has anyone had any success with it? I'm not sure to buy it or not. I have it on btc-e with 5 min frequency, short 10, long 25, buy 0.1, sell 0.25.

This has been covered over, and over, and over. This is not a SHORT TERM trading application. A good chunk of your trades will be losing trades (that's just how EMA Trading goes), but overall you will be up percentage wise. I have about BTC5.5 in my MTGox account, and that number just keeps going up over the past two months. I won't be withdrawing money for QUITE some time. Wink

I've lost like BTC.5 just in the past few days. Man, these low swings suck! i'm still not sure what to set my buy/sell % at, as I've not seen significant market movement to really test my ideas. Anyone got anything that works well for them?

Thanks for the clarification Pablo.

If you need anything else, please just let me know Smiley.

For V3 we hope to provide alternate strategy modules so that you can run, say, a high frequency bot instead of an EMA bot and take advantage of micro fluctuations instead of trends. We're working hard on making Butter-Bot as versatile as possible Smiley.

Pablo.

I'm very excited about this feature! There have been big improvements in the last few builds, and each build just gets better and better. Thanks!

Thanks! Yeah I figured that was the case. I'm apprehensive of reloading it as it stands given that the tamper evident sticker is...well, tampered with. I wonder if he sells stickers by themselves? I'll likely just print a paper wallet and throw it in the safety deposit box.

Now I'm debating keeping my Jalapeno or selling it. I could use the money to pay off my credit cards for sure. The wife would sure appreciate that!

I got my 7.5 GH/s Jalapeno two months ago and that thing has already paid for itself like 2.5x over. The Singles and Little Singles will be on order delay for a LONG time, but the Jalapenos should be caught up by October. Maybe. Possibly.

Granted, I ordered mine in September of last year.
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Reload Casascius physical coins? on: August 02, 2013, 03:53:30 PM
Hey, I've been a long time lurker but never posted. Been mining on GPU since 2011, received my 7.5 GH/s Jalapeno two months back and I've been grinding on that since.

Anyway, I have a physical Casascius coin that I bought back when they were like $10/BTC that I cashed out when it hit $150/BTC. Is there any way to reload that coin so I have a physical backup coin I can keep in my safety deposit box or something?

Thanks!
