1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] - Social Send Coin (SEND) | POS | Masternode | Social Coin | Reward Chain on: December 15, 2017, 09:48:57 PM
More specifically, I notice that the block that it has stuck is 13937. Is there any specific issue with this block or it is normal that takes so long?

From the debug.log I get the following:

2017-12-15 21:24:14 WARNING: ProcessBlock(): check proof-of-stake failed for block 312fa8597f54b8453009883f5898c5661565bb0dffa673b03799eb05833af73b

Could you please advise?

Thanks in advance!

Hi all,

I am trying to sync the wallet (Mac High Sierra) but it's stuck at 2 weeks ago.

I have added the following IPs (based on the announcement), but still no luck.

addnode 92.231.227.4:50050 add

addnode 45.76.175.211:50050 add

addnode 158.69.209.241:50050 add

addnode 165.227.106.170:50050 add

addnode 108.61.23.239:50050 add

addnode 142.91.104.115 add

Could you please advise?

Thanks!!

I'm not an expert, but I have couple things you can try...

1.) Did you restart the wallet after adding the nodes?
2.) Are you using the latest wallet? (I believe v1.0.0.5 is the latest)
3.) try some additional nodes...

addnode=212.159.69.141:50050 add
addnode=66.70.186.2:50050 add
addnode=173.199.118.163:50050 add
addnode=45.76.116.122:50050 add
addnode=145.239.29.9:50050 add
addnode=165.227.106.170:50050 add
addnode=142.44.246.3:50050 add

if you check this block in explorer, there's a special transaction type. It's screwing the sync process in the wallet version that you're using. What i did was to get a dump of 'blocks' and 'chainstate' folders from a computer that managed to sync successfully using a different version of the wallet. After overwriting corresponding folders and restarting the wallet, it got through block 13937, but got stuck again at block 16k+ (don't remember the exact number). Anyway, the point is that the only solution that is working, is to simply use a different version of the wallet (in my case i switched from Mac to Windows). Since then, everything's working as expected. Hope it helps.

I see what happened - on Github release ver. 0.12.2.1 of the wallet for Win32, 64 and Arm/Linux has been removed. I suspect there was a bug.
Now, it'd be nice if the dev team provides a comment and explains what really happened. People, including myself, lost a lot of $ today.
Where did you find 0.12.2.1? I only can see 0.12.1.7 at https://github.com/vivocoin/vivo/releases

that's because v0.12.2.1 (a0a0a32) was removed

How to fix a stuck wallet (this time)

Do this on the affected wallet only!

Close your wallet / Stop your deamon
Win Wallets: Go to your %appdata%/VivoCore folder and delete the folders chainstate and blocks
Unix: Go to ~/.vivocore/ and delete the folders chainstate and blocks
Open your vivo.conf and comment EVERYTHING thats in there by putting a # at the beginning of each line

Add:
connect=80.208.225.127
connect=52.178.24.171:12845
connect=13.80.64.100:12845
connect=13.81.203.224:12845
connect=80.208.229.170:12845
connect=188.120.248.128:12845

save and exit.

Upstart your wallet/daemon. The sync will take longer as normal.

If it works, donations welcome to: VZuH2xGyWNYPz5fvvEMWoEjpvGzSrz9WoG

I have confirmed that this got me back in sync with the main chain.

I just opened my new wallet and it failed to receive coins. I tried going into the config file like you suggested, and the file appears to be empty. Is there some special program required for opening the file?

Just add the connect addresses to the config file, open in a text editor and save and restart the wallet, this is how i got mine to sync correctly

tried this but it's not working for me Sad

I've send coins between my two wallets (MN deposit), and transaction was showing confirmed (10 confirmations) after ca. 2 hours. Now, i came back home (an hour later), and the status shows unconfirmed and there's nothing in both of my wallets. How to fix it? neither my receiving wallet, nor tx id show in the block explorer. What is going on? Is this a secure coin?
