If memory serves my correctly, yes. But told a small lie, Ripple can also handle 1k per second.

Except Ripple isn't based on a blockchain. We can do 100-300 txn/sec blockchain throughput. Ripple is not blockchain, it's semi-centralised system.

Does anyone know exactly when and why Pascal was de-listed from Cryptopia?

They were unable to handle encrypted payloads from Poloniex users withdrawing directly into Cryptopia. It was simple to fix, GetPasa.com handles it as does PascWallet.com. They indicated they may re-list at some point.

I started researching PASC today,

I can't mine it simply because of the account requirement , Obtaining an account seems like only available for the segment who has been mining for long and has all kind of accounts be it btc or some other exchange .

What about those of us who don't wish to deal with exchanges and choose to mine to local wallets and have no BTC ? How to obtain an account ? .. Although I see the advantage of the accounts idea but in some cases like mine it might be self-defeating. Limiting growth . Accounts mining then selling ? Isn't that making some sort of monopoly to those with huge hash power ?

- An example one of the PASC wallet selling sites, an account costs 1 PASC, I don't have PASC YET . Buy PASC with BTC, I don't have BTC . Buy BTC through an exchange, I don't wish to deal with any exchange .

For whatever it's worth .

Having said that, I Only have Zcoin, Zcash and monero .. How can I get an account before I give up on PASC ?

You can easily buy an account at http://GetPasa.com

Are you still suffering from the mining centralization issue you described in Reddit? is there any solution in the horizon?

Yes, it's been worked on. It will be resolved soon.

it's a good news.

it would be nice to make built-in hints or howto inside the wallet.

Yes, everything is being simplified and improved, yet existing functionality being retained. Track the development in the Trello board (https://trello.com/b/74kZ9niP/pascalcoin-development).

So... Cryptopia is delisting Pascal. It seems this wallet is giving ongoing problems. Can anyone put me up to date what is going on?

There are no problems with the PascalCoin Wallet. I've personally stress-tested and confirmed it is stable. Cryptopia are delisting for other reasons, more likely upset they aren't getting volume but many support requests since Polo users are withdrawing directly to Cryptopia accounts and they are unable to handle this (rather simple) workflow. I've attempted to reach out to them and offered free technical support from my software company, but they have not been responsive at all.

One question... Imagine that I've put an account at sell list... after 4 years, if no one has bought that account, I will lost it or it will be at sell list forever?  Huh

u'll lost only coins (if acc isn't empty), acc remains urs.

Not correct, the account with funds are reclaimed.

I downloaded ubuntu wallet and the new blockchainstream but my wallet says v 2.1.0 am I good or where is 2.1.1 ubuntu binaries

Please note there is no code difference between 2.1.0 and 2.1.1, only an installer difference - mainly affecting windows users. The code is exactly the same.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PASC] PascalCoin, true deletable blockchain [Hard Fork V2 Block 115000] on: July 16, 2017, 05:11:54 AM
Looks like the hard fork failed  Sad

HARD FORK INFORMATION

Hard-fork was successful and went smoothly for critical users such as miners and exchanges. There were no bugs or crashes, however, many nodes experienced an issue described below. For those affected nodes, the solution is very simple:

1. Download latest build 2.1.1 and re-install

OR if you do not care about historical operations, you can just

2. Delete your /Data sub-dir and restart wallet, you will be synced in few minutes due to new checkpointing functionality. Make sure you do not delete WalletKeys.dat files.

HOW ISSUE OCCURED

1. PascalCoin 2.0.0 and 2.1.0 were shipped with a pre-packaged SafeBox to improve sync performance. This pre-packaged SafeBox included block 107187a

Moments after the package was created, Murphy's Law strikes as follows:

2. Nanopool orphans it’s 107187a with an operationally identical block 107187b except with a different Payload (they do this occasionally since Nanopool appears to be 3 independent pools operating under one umbrella).

3. Since the operations between 107187a and 107187b are the same they affected the account balances and keys exactly the same way. As a result, the V1 SafeBox hash was identical for both 107187a and 107187b.

4. When block 115001 reached, the V2 hashing algorithm activated and detected the difference between 107187a and 107187b. This occurs because V2 now includes the block header in the account segment sub-structures of the SafeBox, which affects the SafeBox hash. Since the Payloads were different, the nodes that contained 107187a hashed the SafeBox differently than those who had 107187b.

5. Only nodes that installed using the pre-packaged installer were affected. All other nodes that synchronised from block 0, or who rebuilt their own SafeBox were unaffected.

CONCLUSION

A - Completely harmless. No funds were lost, stolen or changed whatsoever. We know this for a fact because if there was a difference in account balance or key ownership, step (3) would have detected this difference early on as the V1 SafeBox hash would have been different.

B - Poloniex and other miners were not affected at all and are sending/receiving funds normally.

C - Thanks to V2 Checkpointing, we will no longer ship SafeBox’s inside the installer. This issue will never happen again.

Apologies for inconvenience, but this issue was harmless and we consider the V2 Hard-Fork a success nonetheless.

Herman, PascalCoin Development Team

Obtain a PASA - pascwallet.com or getpasa.com and mine directly into your wallet using Coinotron.

Thank you for mentioning Coinotron. Miners if you want to help the coin please mine through Coinotron or start a new pool. We need more than one miner. You are hurting coin and price by using Nanopool!

Ok, but for that I need to posses some pascal to buy pasa. I have some PASC on my Poloniex account and when I transferred PASC to pascwallet.com address, it is not clearing, it says pending. What else I can do?

Just use GetPasa.com buy your first account. Can't be easier.

Hello
A friend wanted to make a test of transfer of poloniex has its wallet pascalcoin

Transfer of 10 pasc

In poloniex complete ok

txid: 00000000765201005f0300004642414638454646433943413538374431343942

But no pascal received on his wallet. And poloniex no answer

And when I search for the txid number on the blockchain ca displays error.

Ideas?

thank you

The transaction was orphaned and needs to be resubmitted. This occurs when a block is orphaned, the containing transactions are not entered back into the pending pool. Version 2 resolves this issue. Include a link to this post in your Poloniex support request.

I'm agree with you that a moderated thread could be a solution, but I can't moderate it properly because I have not enough time for everything.

... may I do the JOB ?

Keeping free speech up, while wiping out FUD.

I´m very sorry the behavior of some people is obviously NOT seen as a violation of forum rules,
though we need to help ourselves.

Maybe this works out like a little Promo,
and my personal contribution to PASC .

 Grin

Where did you see FUD?  Huh  Every my word is true

This is an unmoderated thread and negative posts like these are the unfortunate burdeon of a free and open source project like PascalCoin. These FUD posts appear to be part of a sustained campaign by whales to attack the price of PascalCoin for reasons one can only speculate. The PascalCoin team is responsive to the community and eager to incorporate any suggestions and innovations recommended by the community. Please ignore such FUD posts and refer to the whitepaper for definitive answers. Also visit the slack and chat directly with the team.. Thank you, PascalCoin Team.

Announcement

PascalCoin V2 will be released next week along with a revised white-paper. The absolute latest release time will be Jun 23 Friday, but could be anytime from Tuesday the 20th. Features now include:

  • In-protocol account exchange: allows users to buy/sell accounts directly from the wallet
  • Account Names & Types: accounts can now register unique names much like domain-name system
  • Infinite-scaling upgrade: allows true deletable blockchain without impacting new nodes
  • Checkpointing: nodes only need to keep 100 latest blocks
  • Improved difficulty adjustment algorithm: provides more stable block times
  • Many bug-fixes and enhancements: Linux memory-leak, orphaned transaction fix, and much more

Hard-Fork activation block number will be announced on release, and be around 14 days to allow infrastructure providers time to upgrade.

For DEV or someone who can answer, how to send coins from one account to multiple accounts one-time sending, not one by one send? If one by one will take a long time. Thank's. Huh Huh Huh

PascalCoin allows many types of operations. The commonly used "Transaction" operation only allows a single sender to send funds to a single recipient. In the future, this may be changed but there are complications here in terms of fee structuring. Aggregating N transactions into 1 for the fee of 1 transaction may lead to spam/DoS attacks.

That being said, PascalCoin is easily extensible to allow new operations in future. If you have a specific use case in mind, join the slack and discuss with us there (or github feature request).

Thanks,
Herman.
