1  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [FS] All aluminum open-air frame for ONDA D1800 motherboard (6 GPU) on: January 07, 2018, 08:02:51 PM
Are these still available? Will be a couple weeks before I look at needing it, still waiting on the board to arrive and want to make sure it works fine before getting all the goodies for it.
Yes.  Cool

Awesome, I'll hit you up when I'm ready then.

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Hush Wallet Issue on: December 26, 2017, 09:16:29 PM
I downloaded the HUSH wallet from the devs website and installed it. However it is showing 0 connections and will not sync. I've searched everywhere for a solution but seem to be coming up short. Anyone here have a solution by chance?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are 1070 TI's the next best GPU for mining? 4.7 sols per watt on: December 23, 2017, 07:25:35 PM
Good to know.  I have some EVGA FTW2 1070ti's coming on Friday ... (Hopefully) ... They are supposed to ship today.  I had some ZOTAC's on backorder and ended up cancelling those.  This will be my first NVIDIA rig build.
hopefully they rock! Our FTW2s have been our best 1070 TI, much better than the recent zotac 1070 TI mini's -- the ftw2 hashing 30-35 sols more w/ the same settings. The original zotac 1070 TI bought for testing performed well too though . . i sold that one xD

Hey Vosk,

I have my power down to 160W per card.  That's total power at the wall 960W divided by 6.  Power limit is set at 70%.  Core clock +200 and memory clock +700 on these FTW2's.  Averaging 525 sol/s per card.  When power was at 180W (80% limit in afterburner), I was getting a few more sol/s on each card.  I've never overclocked a gpu in my life, so this is making me slightly nervous ... Lol.  I'm not sure if I should keep going or not.  What do you have your FTW2's at?

Another question ... 3 of my FTW2's only have one fan running and I'm not sure why.  Any ideas?  I have my fan speed set to 80% in afterburner.  It's the back fan that's not running on all 3.

And there's more ...

I just set my fan speed to auto, and then back to 80% ... Now the only card with the back fan not running is the card on the end of my open air frame.  60 seconds later ... I have 3 back fans not running, but they aren't the same 3 cards as the first time.  Lol ... This is weird.  Do they not run constantly?  They'll just turn on when a certain temp is hit?

My FTW2 Hold about 500-505 Sol's each at +200 core and +750 mem. Watts are 110 per card, fan set minimum 50%, and target temp of 70C. They stay around 60-65C.

Also, I'm pretty sure only one fan will run if temp is not high enough to justify both running. Right now my three are siting at 59C 62C and 60C, only one has the second fan running. My guess is that it's the one at 62C. And as I type this my middle ones second fan kicked on. So don't worry about the fan not working if you have one working.

EDIT: I would try to get down to a lower watt setting. While an extra 25 Sol/s per card seems nice, it's only netting about .10 more a day after power consumption, .25 before.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / EVGA 1070Ti Overclock issue on: December 22, 2017, 05:50:37 PM
So I was using smOS the past couple weeks but kept having issues with it staying connected to their web dashboard, although the rig did continue to mine. At first I only had one card connected and OC settings would not take, after installing all three cards the settings started to take just fine. 200 core and 750 mem. Power limit setting also took throughout the whole process at 110 watts.

After taking the OC settings I was up around 501-505 Sol/s.

Well I switched to the newer version of nvOC that Poison released and saw that my OC setting would not take in that OS either. Was stuck around the 450-460 Sol/s mark. Once again though the power limit was taking just fine.

Decided to switch back to smOS for the time being to see if the settings would work again, and now all three cards seem to not be accepting the settings via smOS either. Staying in the 450-460 Sol/s range.

Mobo - Gigabyte Z270P-D3
GPU - 3x EVGA 1070Ti

Any ideas as to what could be causing this? I have not been able to find anything anywhere online.

Thanks!

This sounds pretty great, I was already planning on switching from smOS die to their web dashnoard claiming my rig to be offline even though it is still mining fine therefore making the whole point of the os useless.

Had my rig stop working today after 3 days of running fine and of course I'm out of town. Looking for something solid that has remote viewing ability that works. Plus I have a Wi-Fi power adapter shipping for cases like today.

Will be checking this out once I'm home tomorrow evening! Install the same as Fullzero's I would imagine?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Suprnova is selfish-mining BTG, and HOW YOU CAN BEAT THEM TO MAKE MONEY on: December 20, 2017, 05:56:31 AM
Suprnova seems to be messed up like many people in this thread have said:

I'm using Suprnova and CCMiner x64 2.2.3 (ccMiner tpruvot fork v2.2.3 With Polytimos and KeccakC support) with 4 gtx 1070s to mine Monacoin (Lyra2Rev2 algo).

CCMiner reports around 34-35 MH/s per card = 139-140 MH/s total yet Suprnova reports around 80 - 100 MH/s on the graph on the left, and in a box on the right reports around 80 MH/s.

Also, according to whattomine, I should be making 1.1-1.2 Monacoin per day.  Well, I've been mining for about 12 days and only have 8.5 Monacoin (8 paid, 0.5 not paid yet).

Something is obviously not right...

I'm running 3 1070ti's at avg 1500 Sol/s on ZEN. Should be around .35-.4 coins a day. Seem to be stuck around .28 coins a day. I've had an hour here and there down time due to smos being crap but for the last 2 days my "hourly" earnings should put me at what all calculators say I should be mining daily however the last 24 hours is never what it should be, stays around the .28-.29 range it seems.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are 1070 TI's the next best GPU for mining? 4.7 sols per watt on: December 19, 2017, 04:49:35 AM
Zotac Mini in the 1070ti or 1080 models (I don't have their 1070 mini and I have severe worry issues about cooling on the 1080 ti model) both work quite well - but I have no idea if the fans are ball-bearing so I'm not buying any more.

1080 is a little marginal on cooling if you push it but better than the blower-type cards by a nose, I've never pushed the 1070 ti version but it should be a tossup on cooling with the 1080 model given the identical TDP.

I just saw a VoskCoin video where his 6 * Zotac 1080 mini manage 3,000 sols (500 sols each). Does this seem a bit low compared to a 1070ti?

DSTM makes a big difference in pushing these numbers further

Speaking of my latest 1070 TI must have different memory than the one I had to sample because my latest batch is not performing as well

currently have it at 200 core 700 mem and 120 watts on DSTM pushing about 4 sols per watt

Hey mate any idea what I'm doing wrong? I've put 200 core 700 mem 120 watts on all 3 my Gagabyte 1070 TI's on SMOS but all three are hovering around 450 sols only?

I believe the 450 range is what they run out with stock settings. When I first started using SMOS a week ago it was almost like the OC settings I was putting in were not taking, then all of a sudden they started working. I was stuck around 440-450. Then I did a reboot for the who knows what time and it jumped to the 500-510 range on 200/750 if I'm not mistaken.

Personally I'm going to moving away from SMOS as I've had nothing but issues with little help on solving them. Just haven't researched nvOC enough to be comfortable with it. Currently I'm mining just fine with the SMOS installed however it says my rig is offline through their dashboard, which is cool, cause I'm just using their os without paying their fee right now since I cannot get much help from the dev.

I tried Hive it's got a lot of great features and the dev is actual much more responsive that smos' - wifi and new miner support is important, and new miner support on smos is nearly non existent. I've been waiting for Alexis78 for almost a year to no avail.

How long have you been using Hive? I've looked at that as well, it looks to be a nice OS.

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Coings Mined vs Whattomine est coins mined on: December 15, 2017, 05:04:14 AM
How accurate is whattomine on their est. rewards?

For example it estimates .39 ZEN every 24 hours at my hashrate but I've gotten about .3

That is a pretty large margin of error in my opinion so just seeing if this is a usual percentage.

I'm mining through SMOS with dstm-v0.5.6 on Suprnova pool. 1501 Sol/s.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are 1070 TI's the next best GPU for mining? 4.7 sols per watt on: December 14, 2017, 04:49:08 AM
Anyone managed to take the settings further with even better results / esp on linux?

I was getting 520-530 @110watts and I'm unsure on settings due to it not being very stable, haven't tried with more power though. This was on the EVGA models.

Been busy trying to get SMOS working properly before pushing more. Currently at 500 avg on each of my 3 cards. So not sure if its worth squeezing any little bit more out.

Have you had SMOS site say a rig was offline but the rig still be mining to pool fine? Mining ZEN on Suprnova.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: December 14, 2017, 04:19:28 AM
Anyone know why my miner would appear offline on the website, but still be online and mining to my pool?
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alt coins that are still profitable to mine with a GPU on: December 13, 2017, 11:33:18 PM
Well personally I have 7 - Nvidia 1080's and 1 - Nvidia 1080Ti.  Using Multipoolminer on ahashpool.com I pull in about $8-10 per 1080 and about $12-14 on my 1080Ti.

Power usage I pay .13/kWh and end up paying about $160/month for the power to run them 24/7.  So net I'm bringing in about $1900/mo right now.

What are you mining to bring in that much per card? I'm running 3 1070Ti's and should be netting about 10 a day for all 3. I'm running on SMOS mining ZEN on suprnova at the moment. My Sol's are about 510 per card on equihash.

So I just got my 1000w PSU in and shut my system down, installed it as well as my other 2 1070ti's, totaling 3 now.

Started my rig back up and now it is giving me the following...

Started session *** of user miner.
Started user manager for UID 1000...
Stopping user manager for UID 1000.
Removed slice User Slice of miner.
Created slice user slice of miner.

I'm not sure what is causing this.

Well after seeing that screen for about 10 minutes and a couple restarts it just stopped. Although now it seems as though it is not communicating with SMOS. If anyone has an explanation as to why that would be great.

Now I'm getting the error as well though.

could not resolve hostname zen.suprnova.cc
Miner ended/crashed. Restarting miner in 10 seconds

It seems as though it is detecting everything fine and OC is set to 0/0 at the moment.

EDIT: And a restart started the initial problem again.

Thanks for any help.

I'm mining suprnova pool still with my rig showing profits

Same here. Hopefully it's up by tomorrow cause I get my 1000w PSU in to hook up my other 2 1070ti's.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: December 12, 2017, 02:56:19 AM
So I'm currently running 1 of 3 1070ti's while I wait for my larger PSU to come in to run them all. I have a Gigabyte 270P-D3 mobo.

Mining ZEN I'm currently at 457 Sol/s on this one card. I know they can reach the 500 mark however no matter what I set the OC to it does not change. Have it set to 0/0 at the moment and it is doing the same rate as when it was 200/700. Power is set to 110 watts and the fan is 50% running around 65c.

It shows that the program is supposedly setting the OC settings but I'm unsure if the changes are actually happening as it does not seem to affect anything.

Any input as to what may be up with this?

I have a very similar setup, I'll share where I'm at after tweaking and following the advice of folks here.
I'm suggesting you change yours, just offering up what works for me in SimpleMiner.

Currently, I'm set to +200 core, +700 mem, 126w, 70 for temp, and 52% Fan Speed.
With that, I'm no averaging 510-515 Sols/s per card. I have three EVGA 1070 Ti FTW2's running on an EVGA 1000w SuperNova Platinum P2.
It's dead quiet and running perfectly between 57-40 Celsius per card.

I'll give those a shot when SMOS is back up and going. Maybe I just need to up the power? I'm running the same cards though. Also I wonder if it could be my current PSU? It's a 500w SFX psu from my other build that I had laying around, figured it would work for one card for now to get it up and running and the quirks knocked out.

I know these cards can handle 500 easy from everything I've read and seen so it's been a bit aggravating to be stuck at the 460 mark.

Def. love the silence though, I've had to check to make sure it's running!
