Pool Hopping Dilemma...

To this day, mining pool operators having been experimenting with different payout schemes to attract miners while keeping the base community content. Most of the reward schemes have been phased out, but here are some of the more popular one's . . .

PROP - Proportional. When block is found, the reward is distributed among all workers proportionally to how many shares each of them has found.

PPS - Pay Per Share. Each submitted share is worth a certain amount of rewards. It is risky for pool operators, hence the fee is highest.

PPLNS - Pay Per Last N Shares. Similar to proportional, but instead of looking at the number of shares in the round, this scheme looks at the last N shares, regardless of round boundaries.

Every now and then these pool hosts notice an unethical miner trying to game the system by connecting to pools right after a block is found. This becomes extremely irritable after awhile, especially if your pool has gone through some extremely unlucky long blocks.

When the base miner's notice their payouts are being affected by these so called "Pool Hoppers or Pool Rampers", they tend to gravitate toward pools that use different Paid Per Share schemes. These type of reward system benefit the loyal miners and sure one's payouts will be saved from "Bad Luck" or "Bad Acting Miners", but you also lose out when your particular pool has those moments of "Good Luck".

Dealing with it...

After noticing an increasing amount of pool hopping across the public mining pools, The Block Foundry decided to take charge and protect their loyal miners. Instead of changing the payout structure, it was decided banning particular IP's who have been taking advantage of their miners and PROP payout system seemed fair. Thus, effectively giving the community member satisfaction knowing they will profit from their good luck blocks.

The founder of The Block Foundry, Sixlitr, is attentive and quick to respond to any issue one may have. This is a fair and ethical bunch who welcome anyone with open arms. You'll find a solid group or new and experienced miners all working toward the same goal, finding blocks!

I am a major lurker with a major problem. My TZC wallet crashed at some point lastnight. I copied the wallet.dat. Reopened wallet. Closed wallet. Placed .dat file into data folder. Opened wallet to find out my 22.9k TZC are nowhere to be found. I was hoping once my wallet sync'd they would show up. NOPE, GONE. Last step in my mind would be reinstall wallet and follow same steps with wallet.dat. I'm in dire need of assistance.

more Wallet problem... This is getting out of control.  Sad

I pulled some files out of recycle bin and got the wallet to create the same error as it did this morning, "reindexing the block chain" then wallet closes. I will reinstall wallet and inform.

Still lost. A very generous tip is in play to whoever comes to the rescue

Do you have the address on which these 23k should be? - Is the address the same if you open your wallet? - Did you backup the address? - If you Delete/Rename the /Trezarcoin/Data Folder and copy your wallet.dat into the new created /Data folder, all your coins should appear.

TZC address TdM3t7nbv7bG3LV3vBwKwN3DHw99DuTQcD

22.8k are from Transaction ID 4f76fa33deffed993a0e86b5c80e316f5c33e8103f0108a0c9098977873c6a65

The receiving address is different. I have copied the original wallet.dat file to replace the new one. The wallet would not open so I did not backup the address Sad
Update...

Somehow found the wallet.dat with the correct address. After seeing the wallet/address has 2 payments and 0.00 TZC, I ran the -rescan command, opened the wallet. Still 0.00 TZC Huh

Did you sync up completely?
Left open over night, not completely sync'd. Will get back with update this evening. Thanks for the help thus far.

Wow ok. All coins made it back into wallet. Thank you!
