2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think people pulling out of mining is good for Bitcoin? on: August 07, 2013, 01:05:45 AM
We can't afford not having people on our side doing the mining; if honest miners don't hold the line, we risk getting screwed by dishonest ones.

Which is why ASICs are so good.
Common joe's can buy a one or two and join a pool.

90 ghs will be worthless in 6 months time .  this is what i think.  bitcoin will become what it hates the most!

Sir!  I have sent you an PM email. Please may you respond when you have this.

I have received 1.37 BTC from this forum user,  which I am grateful for but please, don't take this the wrong way dude but YOU NEED TO READ THIS........

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=199130.0

I could have been anyone.  I only have a few posts and although I know people can trust me, how did you know that!?!  I send you my BTC address, I did not expect you to actually send the money without first;

1.  Checking who i am, and asking more questions
2.  Sending your payment address for the CDC
3.  clicking the link in my signature! and doing a who is search on my domain (i can see using woopra who clicks from the forum to my site)

I am thankful for the easy trade but please be careful or you WILL get ripped off sooner or later.

Now... please send your address so that i can send you the 20K of cloudcoins

Also if you want 20 free I am giving them away here.

https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/934-free-cloud-coins/

Thank you Sirs.  I am happy for your words of pure advice and will be the more careful person in the future of trading.  It is clear that I have received the 20000 cloudcoins as promised.

If you are mining for fun only then why not...

Some things to bear in mind.

1.  The laptop will get very hot as the GPU is pushed to it's limits
2.  The screen can go unresponsive if you are using certian mining programms and the settings are too high (you need to maintain the main OS GUI)
3.  Mining can cause some software and hardware problems ( especially if used long term).... I have burnt out 3 XfX 7970's in 5 months (says more about the quality of XfX tho tbh).
4.  You will not be able to use the laptop for much else while mining.
5.  You will not make any profit unless you have free electric.

you may want to concider a cpu only coin as the laptop to desktop gap is smaller for CPU perfomace over GPU perfomace.

consider primecoin or quarks .
