1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.6.8 - V8 & algo switching on: October 26, 2018, 08:47:52 PM
Perhaps him and I have the same issue...how do i completely disable my iGPU from doing any work? could it be crashing the system?

Please help. I have one Vega56 and one RX580-8G. Got the following error when running SRBMinber 1.6.8. Tried different drivers (18.5.1, 18.5.2, 18.6.1), DDU clean install every time. Also tried the default kernel and compiled kernel.  One wired thing I noticed is that the miner recognizes my RX580 as "Radeon RX Vega [ellesmere]". The miner is working properly only when I use one card at a time to hash with fresh compiled kernel.

Hi
Did you install the microsoft visual c++ 2017 redistributable package (x64) ?

Can't figure how to PM you, but can you post the two thread lines from your AMD config setup for XMR stak please? Reason I wanted to go with this SRB miner is i can;t get the newest stak to fire up anymore.

Thanks,

No. XMR-Stak and Cast_XMR work with a little bit lower hash rate.

Hey did you get a resolution to this? I also am having this problem. 1 V56 and 2 V64

I am using the "guide to reach 2k+ on v8 on vega 64"

Got 2 64s and 1 56.
The 56 is in slot 003, however upon launching the miner I get the following error:

2018-10-24 00:56:27] Loading kernel for DEVICE BUS ID 8 ...

[2018-10-24 00:56:27] Error CL_BUILD_PROGRAM_FAILURE when calling clBuildProgram [ctx->Program] for DeviceID 0 (Thread 0)

I got pretty familiar with XMR Stak but I have been having lots of stability issues with it so wanted to try the SRB miner. I'm sure it is a simple fix, just don't know where to start.

Any pointers are appreciated.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Success with Vega FE playing with 56/64 rigs? on: December 11, 2017, 10:16:10 PM
I think we are all in the same boat currently and it is the most current/up to date info.
Seems at the moment consensus is that the FE does not play nice along with other Vegas on the same mobo?
Main issue is re-enabling the driver. Have to restart the comp a few times before i can clear Code 43.
I did get it to hash at 2100 for about 45 mins before it kicked me back down to 1550.
But then repeat Code 43 issue.
I am assuming this is due to the buggy blockchain driver.
Is it possible to run the FE on a normal gaming driver while the blockchains run on the other vegas?
But then it would pull stupid amounts of power as wel..
