try use these steps... I tried NOW!! api key is right there

EDIT ACCOUNT and read this page

there are:

1) username
2) user id
3) api key
4) email

if you didnt find it there, try ask suprnova support.
hey there, thanks for your posts trying to help
but unfortunately my edit account section unfortunately has no api key as you can see in this screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/BcVHk

btw do you know whats the best way to contact suprnova pools admin? I tried opening a support ticket on https://zec.suprnova.cc/ but this is definitely bugged for me, I tried like 20 times and every single time I get "Invalid captcha" error even tho I am 100% sure I am not missing the captcha  Undecided

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / what is the best 2x sata to molex adapter between these two? on: December 29, 2017, 02:13:09 AM
hey there everyone

I decided to use 2x sata to molex adapters to power my molex-powered risers instead of using those widely infamous sata to molex that comes with them.  What is the best option between these two?

https://http2.mlstatic.com/cabo-de-energia-sata-duplo-1-molex-x-2-sata-30cm-reto-D_NQ_NP_834321-MLB20755752315_062016-F.webp

normally I would say that the second option is the best, but for some unknown reason, the first option seems to be much more popular in my country's website similar to ebay. So, like always, I decided to accept my ignorance and ask for some advice  Tongue
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / quick question about powering risers in a 2 PSU rig on: December 26, 2017, 07:58:12 AM
whats up guys
I dont want to take your time so I will be brief:
Im building a 6 gpu rig with 2 psus. Is it true that If I dont use my primary psu (the one Im using to power motherboard and cpu) to power all my riser adapters I might damage my motherboard PCIE slots or even my gpu or psu? I didnt take that information into account when choosing my power supplies and now Im worried that my primary psu might be way too close to 100% load when powering all 6 risers in this rig  Undecided

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is this PSU (EVGA 750w BQ) enough to deal with my 3 gpus? on: December 22, 2017, 02:23:14 AM
by the way I just found out these adapters exist:

using 2x sata to molex adapterts like this one to power my risers is a much safer option than using that regular 1 sata to molex that comes with it, right? Funny thing I didn't find anyone mentioning these 2x sata adapters on riser adapters discussion threads, and they seem to be really useful
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Is this PSU (EVGA 750w BQ) enough to deal with my 3 gpus? on: December 22, 2017, 01:19:31 AM
Hey there everyone

Recently I bought a EVGA 750BQ  (https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=110-BQ-0750-V1), with the idea of powering 3 gtx 970 g1 gaming which is an specific 970 model that uses 2 power connectors (one 8 pin and one 6 pin) instead of one. When we talk about power, I am totally sure that 750w is enough to feed them, but I am really worried about the power connectors.

The problem is that I just noticed this psu has 3 PCIE cables and 5 molex.  I was planning to connect each gpu 8 pin connector to one of these 3 PCIE cables, and I was planning to use  2 to 6 pin molex adapters to feed the 6 pin gpu connectors. Since the motherboard I bought has one extra molex connection I believe I would be able to solve the gpus power connectors problem, but  is this safe? In this example I would have to power all my riser slots using the infamous SATA to molex adapter that comes with it.

By the way I cannot plug the PSU in the 970s  and test it by myself because the motherboard for this system will probably be delivered where I live only after Christmas.

I really need some help here, because in case I find out that the PSU I bought isnt going to work I need to return it to the seller as soon as possible and buy one that actually works

Entendi.

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: December 19, 2017, 02:00:02 PM
hey there guys

Im having a problem today: when I open suprnova.bat to start mining, I am getting this error message a few seconds after I open the mining file: ERROR: Stratum authorization timeout. And then the cmd window closes instantly.
The funny thing is that I was mining without any problem yesterday, and I didnt change anything since. The configuration are all the same when it used to work fine, I have no idea what could be causing this

my suprnova.bat file looks like this:

miner --server zec-us.suprnova.cc --user mysuprnovaacc.mysuprnovaworker --pass myworkerpassword --port 2142 --log 1

Am I doing something wrong?
A principio nao, Anderson.

Asrock H81 Pro Btc
4gb ddr3
Hd 120gb 7200 rpm sata
2x EVGA 750BQ (750w)
6x gtx 970 g1 gaming

o rig de 8 placas:
Pentium 4400

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Building an 8 gpu rig, need advice on which PSU I should buy on: December 18, 2017, 04:18:21 AM
guys as you can see in the image in the end of this post, I used an online psu calculator to calculate how much energy my system would use excluding the gpus

the result pretty much surprised me: 125w for a pentium 6440, one sata 7200 hard disk, 4gb ddr4 and one kb and mouse usb. Is this correct?   Huh

Taking this information into account, and considering that running the psu 24/7 at 100% load might not be a good idea, I think I should  get one 750w psu for the 4 970 gpus (around 600w), and one 850w psu for 4 gpus 600w + 125w drawn from the rest of the system. Am I missing something?

I have a Biostar TB250 (the 6x PCI-e version) running very well with a cheap Celeron G3900
what altcoin are you mining? I was thinking about getting a celeron but decided to go for a pentium because i've seen some people reporting problems mining with the currently mining software im using (genoil miner) with celeron processors
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Building an 8 gpu rig, need advice on which PSU I should buy on: December 18, 2017, 03:33:34 AM
another option to look at is at server psu. some are platinum rated and comes at usually 1000w+.
i'm just looking into those the other day and it was quite affordable in my area as compared to buying a new standard atx psu.

you mean like this one? https://www.parallelminer.com/product/power-supply-kit-for-3-antminer-l3-plus-litecoin-miners-ltc-94-platinum-high-efficiency-200-240v/
I was considering the idea of getting one of these, but since none of the mining tutorials or forum posts that I read recetly mentioned this idea, I deduced that there should be a good reaso that explains why I didn't see anyone recommending one.

and by the way I am already making changes in the initial post mining rig setup: I found out that the g4560 processor for some reason doesnt work with the Biostar TB250-BTC+, so Im changing it for a pentium g4400
And a really nice user from this forum sent me a PM explaining me that i was wrong about the way psu power works. For example, a  1000w psu that has 80% efficiency at 100% load is actually able to deliver 1000w like its name suggests, the thing is that when its at 100% load delivering 1000w for your equipment it will be consuming 1200w.
That means that buying a 80 plus gold psu will always save me 5% power compared to the bronze ones. Now I think I will pick 2 750w gold plus psus instead of 2 850w bronze. But still not sure what specific models Im getting.

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Building an 8 gpu rig, need advice on which PSU I should buy on: December 18, 2017, 02:56:20 AM
thanks for the contribution helios and philip

Are you planning to run your rig at 100% TDP ? If you pay for electricity you might want to lower your TDP to be more efficient and more profitable and you won't have to deal with any PSU issues
Not really, from the early tests I did yesterday plugging one of the gtx 970 on my personal computer, I was able to get 300 equihash (300 sol/s) mining zcash with 70 or 75% power draw on MSI Afterburner.

I am not totally sure, but I believe that when I've seen people saying that the 970 draws 150w when mining, they are already reducing the gpu's TDP through afterburner, because from what I've read on technology websites the 970 running heavy games at 100% power can draw up to 220w.
