While browsing pasebin i came across a post.

http://pastebin.com/2ZJGDJDk

Attempting to trick people into logging into there blockchain.info account. After you use one of the logins they provide you with they redirect you to a fake blockchain page and attempt to trick you into logging in.

Just wanted to give a brief post to warn the bitcoin community members.

3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin-Qt Wallet Corrupted can't sync - Loosing BTC HELP!! on: March 09, 2014, 03:32:34 AM
The bitcoin-qt client has a command called dumpprivkey that can export your private keys.

Quote
launch your bitcoin client as usual and wait for it to load the blockchain and start up
click on 'help' in the menu bar (top right)
click on 'debug window'
select the 'console' tab
type: walletpassphrase "your walletpassphrase here" 600
type: dumpprivkey [your public key here]
this will return the private key, you can copy it now; ensure you clear your clipboard/history afterwards
type: walletlock

walletpassphrase and walletlock is only needed if your wallet is encrypted.

If you are unable to start bitcoin-qt you can dump the private keys with pywallet to back them up.

The issue your having looks like the blockchain may be corrupted. You can try starting the client with -reindex but this will force the client to redownload the block chain. This will take a long long time. atleaste it did for me.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Strange Transaction - Bitcoins lost on: March 09, 2014, 03:22:12 AM
This looks like a case of malware. If it was an issue with the client then there would of been more reports of thieft.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How to avoid negative account balance due to fee? on: March 06, 2014, 07:24:54 AM
It is impossible to have a negative balance. The bitcoin protocol does not allow it.
6  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining Contracts on: March 06, 2014, 06:05:23 AM
What does everyone think of a cloud mining service that guaranteed you would make your BTC back plus a percent. I don't know what the percent is yet. I just thought of the idea. Basically the contracts do not have an expiration date. After the contract pays its guaranteed percent you were given the option to repurchase. This gives miners a guaranteed profit and gives the service an easy way to finance hardware so that it can mine for itself.
7  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Better way to reduce transaction fee on: March 05, 2014, 08:07:27 AM
If you do not want to pay a transaction fee why dont you -addnode=192.3.11.20 and relay to Eligius.

The OP said it all in his post. He simply doesn't understand how bitcoin work. He is most likely using an Old client or hes sending his coins with no transaction fee. Learn what your talking about before you come crying to the forums...

13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So what are people in gox going to do now can't get FIAT or BTC out???? on: February 07, 2014, 05:12:18 PM
Every time Mtgox has an issue you get people running to the forums yelling OMG its the end and it always passes. Remember last time they had an issue? It got resolved and now no one talks about it. I am sure many wallets and exchanges are seeing the same thing with withdraws. There was a surge in withdraws my site last night. I had $3500 when my average is a couple hundred.
14  Other / Beginners & Help / what is the percent of bitcoin transaction in america? on: November 20, 2013, 03:36:47 PM
I was wondering if anyone have the figures of Transactions involving Americans compared to the rest of the world? I would imagine the numbers are not that large and the US government is wasting there time.

16  Other / Off-topic / who makes this iced tea on: November 15, 2013, 05:58:25 AM
I recently came back from a trip to Pittsburgh and I drank this tea but I can not remember the name and all I can find is a really bad picture I took. The bitcoin forums is a rather diverse group of people. I figured someone here probably knows it.

Hi,

I just seen your post and applied to join your corp. I see your looking to drop a POS does the corp have high enough standing to anchor one? If you just need a tower I may be able to assist with that I have a couple spares laying around.
19  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Blockchain Fee on: August 05, 2013, 10:47:09 PM
did you get the Bitcoins in really small increments? If you did this is most likely why the fee is so high. The transaction size is very large and the fee is based on transaction size not bitcoins sent. There is a section over at the wiki that explains it in detail.

20  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone use btcrobot.com? on: August 05, 2013, 10:39:32 PM
Anytime someone offers a "How To Make $34,175" it just sounds like a scam to me. Reminds me of those get rich quick commercials you see late at night.
