Where did you see it?
This is the unit they had at their press conference yesterday: https://imgur.com/Hn44X8iIt looks just like the 841 models, with 1 fan. They also showed a Litecoin miner and a TV miner.

so they do 2145/33000 = 0.065 per gh? and are really by far the best most efficient miner ever made? So if you purchased the GMO miner at .082 per gh you got crushed by this miner. The M10 is like a freaking beast btw bitmain has dropped the s9i down under 600 to 564 https://pangolinminer.com/M10 rules if this is true. My thoughts exactly. Right now, the M10s have the best specs out there. And the price is pretty good.

So Pangolin has 2 new miners for presale on their website. The BTC miner is a 33TH unit running at 2145W - for $1999 Weight 8.5 kg

Chips Process Technology 16nm FinFET Compact or Better
Hashrate 33.0 Th/s (+-6%)
Power Consumption 2145W @ 33th/s (+-10%)

Warranty 180 days after shipment How are they getting these results using 16nm ? (not sure why they put "or better" in there - dont they know what processors they are using ?) Thoughts ?

I had to shut down my units a couple of days ago to setup the new mining room. Still working on it. Should be back up by tomorrow at the latest (I hope ).

https://canaan.io/product/moose/The Moose is an all-in-one mining solution which contains twelve units of AvalonMiner 841 with PSU and AvalonMiner Controller, all the necessary cables and plugs for running these AvalonMiner 841 are connected before shipping.
All you need for letting a Moose start working is to plug-in the power connector and the internet cable, then have a coffee. The Moose is stackable.
I think these are neat and the price is on point.

Quick question on setting up these 821's...I've mainly used antminers which are a little "easier" to setup and run but was wanting to make sure I was right. In a dedicated hosting setup, where static ip's are used, do I need to set up a static IP for each miner AND the raspberri pi, or just the raspberri pi only? And if the answer would be the same if each avalon was connected singly via it's own auc3 connector vs daisychaining everything together off one.
Thanks
The raspberry pi has a ethernet network adapter, not the miner itself. You just set the ip on the controller. So no matter how it's hooked up, the Avalon's are essentially "one" device combined together through the raspberri pi? When you change one pool setting, you change it on all of them that are hooked up to this raspberri pi? That makes more sense and makes it so much easier to manage. Thanks Correct. 1 rasp pi will control up to 20 miners and any settings changes to the controller are applied to all miners connected to it.

I also like the cardboard doorway setup. I thought about doing something similar at my place but i got lazy and didn't look for a place to buy that large of a piece.
I also have a couple of the bitcoin miners instead of the Avalon's . Bitmain comes with the controller but you have to purchase the power supply.
You are right about the noise, i still need to figure out what to do about that at my place. Its in a separate room so well see.
I added 4 more units since my last post and got another one on the way. Will update once that one is installed. The setup is definitely noisy, you can hear it across the warehouse (15000 sqf). I had a bunch of those cardboard pieces sitting in storage, so that helped You haven't found any dust issues with it sitting in a warehouse? Compared to a household? Perhaps a good time to invest in some dust filtration blankets (which also acts as noise cancellation), to replace those cardboard boxes? I've seen some data centers in the past use some sort of material for this application. Not sure where to source it from. The intake side of the miners is in our server room (AC cooled "clean" room). So no dust issues. This cardboard thing is temporary. We will eventually build a box in the server room for the miners.

821 arrived today in the US. Already setup and mining away. The controller box came with the controller and 2 x AUC3 adapters. Fast shipment as always

I like the cardboard doorway setup.
It works great. Cardboard works great for insulation. And it has a really high burning point, so catching on fire because of the miner is not an issue. Just added a few more units to the setup, first post updated with new photos.

So I received my 741 from Crypto-universe about an hour ago and it is up and mining on slush pool. Though I agree that Canaan has overpriced the 821, crypto-universe has great customer service and shipping only took a week to the United States. Thanks again I'll be sure to leave you trust!
I also received the 2 x 741 units today. It took less than a week for delivery. Fast service for sure. I expected there to be but FedEx just dropped it off and didn't ask for any money.
Same here

Just wondering why you never touched Bitmain's S9 Antminers when it is obviously more profitable (Bitmain's 13.5-14 TH at 1200watts vs Canaan's 7.3 TH at 110 watts)? Don't get me wrong i'm not telling you what to do or anything like that, i'm just curious about what you think.
I missed the chance to buy them in november when I had the funds. I want to start out with 4 741's then progress from there. I missed the pre-order sale on cryptouniverse today but I live in the US so Blokforge should have the same pre-order sale soon. I have heard great things about the reliability of the Avalons. How has your experience been so far?
I was under the impression that the 741's are no longer available to buy from distributors or canaan. That's probably accurate. The new a761 and a8 series are supposed to be rolling out in 4-6 weeks (end of January they say, but they're always late). They're a little underwhelming, honestly. Off the top of my head they're 9ish and 11t respectively. The new units from Ebit look a lot more exciting. E9++ and E10. The first one is 10nm running at 18t and I dunno about the other one. They're already available for pre-order. I'm getting mine for 32000CNY each. I've only run Canaan machines up until now, but I'm definitely ready to move up! Same here.

I was refreshing the site every 5 seconds until i saw the "Add to cart" button.
Added 2 units, got to the checkout page, filed my info and the "Payment" part was greyed-out.
When I was able to get that working, it never went past that page.
Then out-stock error showed up.
How many units did they have in stock ?
Probably 2 ...

Good. 2 of the units have been running nonstop since september and 2 since november. No a single issue so far.

~
Anyway, earlier this year I rejoined the game and purchased a couple of Avalon 741, then a couple more a month later ... and now I am glad I made that decision.
How much BTC have you mined since? Do you think that Avalon 741 is better than Antminer S9 regarding the price/quality ratio (or rather regarding price/efficiency ratio)? ~
I have a few more Avalon units to be shipped in that December batch, and just recently purchased a few Whatsminer M3 units (March batch).
Please keep us updated. There are very few posts in the Mining section recently although many people around the world are interested in this kind of information. ~ I am running the miners off 240V 30amp lines. Some photos: Nice photos. 500 views in 5 days without sharing to the imgur community means there is an interest. Do you pay a lot for electricity with all those miners running? 0.46 btc since september, most of it already invested back in the venture with pre-orders (just ordered a couple more 741s from cryptouniverse december batch). I never used the S9. But the decision to buy the Avalon 741 was based on the fact that it was easier to purchase, and all the reviews here said it was way more reliable than the s9 units. Free electricity
