Check your task manager. ArmoryDB is probably still running. If so, quit Armory, kill ArmoryDB, and start up Armory again.
Also, yes, I'd recommend installing RC3 on general principle, but if RC1 works for you, cool.

Hi there, I'm having trouble to sync my wallet today. Everything was working fine until yesterday... Any thoughts? https://paste.ee/p/BSzERHaven't made the update for the lastest version (RC3). Should I? If so, should I uninstall it first or can I just run over? Tnx! |

what does run "BitcoinQt manually" mean? launch Bitcoin Core from my start menu or shortcut?
Do i leave "auto bitcoind in File > Settings" unchecked for this step as well?
I tried your suggestion (deleted database folder) a couple times and did not get the databases on Armory to scan properly and Armory stayed "offline" the whole time. The only main difference was the Armory launched and shut down seamlesly without me having to kill it or get the (not responding) error
I'm facing same trouble here I guess. Armory opens just fine, everything is updated (Armory RC1 and Bitcoin core), but itīs taking a really long time to load the balance (and doesn't load after all). Actually I went to sleep and this morning I saw the balance, but after close the wallet and open it again, it's not loading. For the past hour has been stucked on "Preparing database". Use RC1 for now, please. RC2 has an issue on Windows that you'd need to work around. Will I face any problem on receive my bitcoins If I uninstall it and get back for the previous version?
Won't affect receiving the coins - don't delete your wallet or anything like that. Thank you for your reply! So just to be sure, unistall does not imply in delete my wallet, right? |

Btw, the version I installed is this one from goatpig post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2660500.0I'm running it on windows 10. Is this why this problem is happening maybe? Will I face any problem on receive my bitcoins If I uninstall it and get back for the previous version? |

Hi there!
I'm having a hard time with Armory.
Just downloaded the latest version, installed over the previous one, but not opening anymore. Any thoughts on why this is happening?
It stays on a infinite loop loading the wallet, but it never opens it.
I was getting a offline node message, and that's is why I decided to update for the latest version. Thought there would be no problem installing over it, since last time I made just that and there was not problem at all.
After I installed the update is that I realized that maybe I should not have done it, because I don't know if that can interferes on the path to receive my bitcoins.
Can anyone help me to solve this issue? Btw, I know this wallet is not for newbies like me, once I solve this problem I will search for another that it's easy to deal with...
Any help is much appreciated!

You need to do a lot of reading and learn how to use Bitcoin and Armory properly before proceeding (you actually should have done this step before buying any bitcoins). Armory is an advanced wallet for savvy users. You need to run Core and let the block chain sync completely. You should download the latest Armory version from the sticky here in this sub-forum. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2227856.0If you need immediate access to your bitcoins, you'll need to start Armory in offline mode, extract your private key, and import it into a newb friendly wallet. If your transaction isn't showing on a block explorer (there are several, try them all), then whichever exchange you used didn't actually send any coins to your address and you'll need to contact them. Thank you for your reply. I found the solution. The problem was that I was using an older version of armory wallet, and I am running already the latest Bitcoin Core wallet. There are different versions on the websites, the oldest one that I downloaded from the first link above last week, did not run with the latest bitcoin core: https://www.bitcoinarmory.com/download/ (0.96) A few hours ago I tried update and It worked (I was afraid because I thought It would overwrite the DB, but that didn't happened, and now it's fully working). https://btcarmory.com/0.96.3-release/ plus the version 0.96.3.99 on goatpig fixed post (which btw, is impossible to download. Hi,
I'm quite new on this universe of crypto currency, and I follow instructions of a friend to use Armory.
Well I downloaded Armory wallet, installed and then I generated a code to receive bitcoins. So after that made the transfer from my bitcoin exchange broker to Armory. The thing is, I didn't had Bitcoin Core by the time yet, and still couldn't run it online.
The main question is, did I lost my BTC or is it still possible to recover it? Kind of worried, because so far It's not showing on blockexplorer.com and I made this transfer 6 days ago, but again, mayba that is just because I couldn't connect so far (at least I hope that is the problem)...
very time I open Armory, comes with the message: Armory - Failed to spawn the DB.
I have downloaded Bitcoin Core already, but nothing is being displayed on my wallet.
It seems that the version on the website is not the last one. I saw the fixed post by one o the developers (goatpig), but still couldn't download the lastest version (broken or something). I was wondering if It would be a good move to install the lastest version, over this actual one. Any thoughts?
