sad to see it go
I really liked this pool.
thanks for making the pool roy7
& take care roy7  Wink

I own btbcoin.com and bitbarcoin.com and will let both go for 1 btc worth of Frankos, Bitcoin, Litecoin or CinniCoin.

PM me if interested.

Cheers,

J

those domain names are kind of funny.  Wink

bitbar is a bar, like a bar of gold.
why would you buy bitbarcoin.com when bitBAR is not a coin but a bar LOL

SHA2 is not supported for these, only scrypt.

dude do you know of a bfgminer Fork that will let me mine sha with a gridseed?
I can't stand the cgminer for gridseed
it sux!!!

I don't get why you would not add sha for gridseed???  Huh
your the guy who was like I don't really care about scrypt & yet you add scrypt for gridseed  Roll Eyes
I'm sure a donation would help convince him to add the support.

that's a big Assumption

how do you know I have not giving him a donation before.  Tongue

as for adding the support
the work has been done for the most part, he just has to add it to bfgminer.

I installed the gridseed on my windows 7 machine via USB and I see the gridseed installed as COM3.

...

What did I do wrong?

On Windows you'll need to install a make-shift CDC driver for the GridSeed ASICs. This is basically an unsigned, hand-crafted INF file that allows Windows to recognize the device properly.

Note that, depending on the version of Windows, you'll need to Google steps that let you install unsigned drivers.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/w06b7nj1f07lv29/Windows_ASIC_CDC_Drivers.zip

would that be the same as this? http://www.st.com/web/en/catalog/tools/PF257938

Well for sha256 mining bfgminer v3.10.2 likes me more   Smiley
Please bisect any problems you have, as 3.10 won't be maintained forever... Wink
or I can just w8 for btcguild to get off there but & get there shit fixed (I did email them) other pools work fine with v4.1.0 or I w8 for the next bfgminer update & hope it all works out.  Roll Eyes

"SHA2 is not supported for these, only scrypt."
Well then it looks like I will have to use the cgminer fork  Sad  Cry

Well for sha256 mining bfgminer v3.10.2 likes me more   Smiley

Also BFGMiner v4.1.0 for GPU scrypt mining was craping out,
it would work for a bit & then the shares would just stop, GPU would keep going & everything would be fine & no shares would be submitted to the pool for many HRs,
so looks like I will have to roll that back as well.

I am going to be getting two 5chip Gridseed Dualminer Scrypt + SHA256 soon &
I hope  BFGMiner v4.1.0 works well with it. I really don't want to use the cgminer fork, blah.

but anyways thank you Luke-Jr for putting the time in to making BFGminer.

yo Luke-Jr
I just moved over to BFGMiner v4.1.0 & it keeps telling me btcguild.com is dead when I know its not
I have restarted it over & over & sometime it will work but for only like 1min & then it comes back with pool dead.
It does work on trc.royalminingco.com & I have been on there all day.

I don't know whats going on but bfgminer-3.10.0 did not do this. & I may have to move back to it or try 4.0.0 or 3.10.2 or 3.10.1

Try adding #notls to the BTCGuild URI.
Unfortunately, they just leave the connection open and silent when BFGMiner attempts to negotiate TLS (if they errored or disconnected, it'd immediately retry).
Without #notls to disable TLS, it should still timeout after a minute (but this needs to happen again after the reconnect...)

I added it
"url" : "stratum+tcp://stratum.btcguild.com:3333#notls",
not sure if that's where I'm to put it
but it did work & I was getting work from the pool but
then I started getting this
"Rejected untracked stratum share from pool 0"
the pool Diff was stuck at 1 & btcguild does not use 1.
this is just not working for btcguild.
I will just have to roll back   Sad

but thanks for your time & help Luke-Jr.
Hrm, strange. Can you try bisecting it?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=626361.msg6964942#msg6964942

ok I did it, I'm not sure what bisecting is...
Am I to download the "Builds"??
if yes there for windows I use Gentoo Linux.

Is https://btb.forkpool.com scam? I cannot cashout the btb from pool. The owner doesnt reply of any email. If its scam then please take the link away from Thread.
Thanks

I have been there but never mined there

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [AUTO SWITCH] ScryptGuild (BTC Guild) Beta on: April 26, 2014, 06:26:30 AM

Eleuthria, been noticing the drop in hashrate over the last week is this due to the fact that you will not be updating much and merging?
I plan to keep my rigs pointed at scryptguild everything has been paying me out perfect.
Thanks for all your hard work.

Yes, I'm sure it's related to the news that the pool won't be seeing a bunch of new coins pop up.

Just to be clear, the merge will not happen on short notice.  The current plan is once I have BTC Guild's frontend ready for allowing Scrypt coins as well as BTC, I will post a notice on ScryptGuild stating that the pool is now available on BTC Guild, and is recommended for all users.  At that point, I will give people one full month to clean out any remaining balances on ScryptGuild.  The ScryptGuild pool will still be operational during that time to give users time to move over.  The pool server (not the web server) will turn off one week before the site shuts down.

I'm expecting this will probably happen around May 1st - May 7th, meaning the site will remain available until June 1st - June 7th.  I'm pretty slow when it comes to website design, especially when I've been extremely happy with how BTC Guild's frontend has worked out.  I don't want the merger to disrupt/alter the interface for users that are not interested in it, so I have to be very careful with how/where the integration shows up.

One thing that was nice to have on ScryptGuild was getting to see the hash speed of a coin. like if I want to see the speed of WDC I could,
but not long after ScryptGuild opend that want bye bye Sad why is that? Huh ?
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ASIC Miner Block Erupter Blade problem on: March 31, 2014, 04:32:29 AM
@hatelabs  thanks for making that long post.

I'm having this reboot BS as well
here's link to a reply with my info https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=348382.msg3929430#msg3929430

Anyways after reading your long post, it got me thinking about some other post where this guy had 2 blades with the same BS we got. (here's where it gets odd) he had a samsung android phone & when it was on WiFi his Blade started rebooting & giving him shit.

I have a "HTC Incredible" & use it on WiFi, some days more so then others.
well it was my phone, as soon as I killed the WiFi on the phone the blade started working fine.

I don't run QoS or UPnP but I have my router firewall security turned up, as none of that is pissing off my blade

here's some food for thought, the "HTC Incredible" was on 802.11g & I have 3 laptops on the WiFi: 1 of them is 802.11n & the other 2 are 802.11n draft
& the blade is cool with them being on the LAN  Huh soo odd Huh

Here are the BitBar pools I have found so far that are not in your list.

I like this one  Grin
10% fee but its PPS!!! the is hash 100.00KH/s, the fee may be a bit high & there is like no one on it but me & one other Worker but F it free BTB
http://bitbar.youcrazy.me/index.php

low fee 1.5% prop pay type pool hash 7.30MH/s
http://btb.scrypthp.com/index.php

Proportional Pay Per Block,Pool hash 29.412 MH/s cant find where the fee is.
http://bitbar.cryptcoins.net/index

p2pool.org has BitBar pool hash 856kH/s
http://p2pool.org:8336/static/

No InFo Huh

16  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Block Erupter Blade keeps resetting at around 2 min. on: December 12, 2013, 06:01:49 AM
If you have a pool that still has active getwork nodes, just punch that in as the server address. Low efficiency or low hashrate is expected here, because of the delays from getwork. When you say mining on slush's pool before the first reset, was that via stratum proxy or directly connected to the pool's getwork server?

Did you hit "switch server" during the reset? I did a test on one of mine earlier, and changed the server address to an unused IP on my network. The blade reset every 2:20 as expected, but even after changing the server IP back to proper it still was resetting until I hit "Switch Server" which I guess woke it up and got it spooling properly. Don't know if that affects you or not.

Thanks again for your help!

I took your advise and connected to a pool using getwork and now my blades are hashing! Great success!
However, just like you said, really low hash rate, like 22%.

Now that i know the blades are not defective i need to figure out why they kept resetting even while connected to slush's using stratum proxy.

I just want to maximize the potential of these blades ASAP, I feel like time is of the essence here!

Any and all advise is welcomed!

I'm in the same boat as you
I just keep on restarting until it would work

what I', see is this

Total MHS: 00000
Received: 0000000040
Accepted: 0000000005

it will take the Receive then freezes up & do nothing for 2 min then restart & repet over & over until that one restart that makes everything happy
I'm using bfgminer-stratum-proxy
when I try the normal stratum-proxy
oh boy does the blade hate that it does not even take work from the normal stratum-proxy.

I have tried everything I can think of & none of it has worked.
I really hate ASICMiner what kind of dumb fucks make it use getwork only & make it so it cant be updated in anyway.

also I wanted to add my up time
the longest up time I have had with this blade is Up Time: 4d,9h,24m,46s
17  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 3.8.1: modular ASIC+FPGA, GBT+Strtm, RPC, Mac/Lnx/W64, HBRMicro+Avalon2 on: December 11, 2013, 01:15:46 AM
I don't really care about scrypt.
If you (or anyone else) can bisect it, debug it, or provide a patch, I'll look into it...
If you use Windows, you can easily bisect by starting a new session on http://luke.dashjr.org/tmp/code/webisect/webisect.php

could you fix the pool diff in scrypt?
its always Diff 0/0    Cry
that's the only thing that I can see needs fixing.

That sounds correct. It's very hard to get diff 1 with scrypt.

what your saying makes no sense Huh

I mine on litecoinpool.org they start out with pool Diff 32 & if your hash is slow you will get kicked down to 16 or 8 but no lower
& when I use bfgminer what do I see Diff 0/0 so that tells me there is something worng with bfgminer when doing scrypt.
cgminer v3.7.2 works fine with scrypt 80/16

BFGMiner is showing the correct difficulty numbers. They are just so small they get rounded to 0. "Diff 32" is actually Diff 0.00048828125. cgminer is using the same conversion scheme that pools use, where all difficulties are multiplied by 65536. Except that even cgminer has now dropped that conversion in the block difficulty number. If only that conversion scheme had never been implemented, all this confusion could've been avoided.

I guess the conversion scheme was done because decimal numbers are thought of as inconvenient. Because scrypt mining is about a thousand times slower than sha256 on GPUs, it would take a thousand times longer to mine Diff 1 shares. Thus no pool would ever set a real target of even 1 for a worker. Then someone came up with the genius idea of multiplying everything by 65536 so it looks neater. Sheesh.

Oh WoW I did not know that, thanks for the info juhakall  Grin
It sure would have been nice for Luke-Jr to post that info somewhere on the bfgminer github page.

@Luke-Jr I can't get my USB block erupters to work on bfgminer.
I run Gentoo & they never show up in /dev/ttyUSB0 the way you keep saying it does, I have done everything I can think of & than some.
the only thing I ever find is this, here's the path to one of them /dev/bus/usb/01/016
& that's info that comes up with lsusb. I have CP210x all setup in my kernel
CONFIG_USB_SERIAL_CP210X=m   should it not be a module? should I bake it into the kernel?
well anyways they run ok on cgminer with no problems but I would love to have them to run on bfgminer someday.  Roll Eyes

I only use bfgminer for my block erupter blades because my block erupter blades don't like "stratum-mining-proxy" but they like "bfgminer stratum-proxy" kind of odd but its all good.  Smiley

I got sick of w8ing
& used the pywallet to delete the transactions
got the coin back & everything is working fine now.

Also its easy to use pywallet if you have a Linux box available to run it on.
Doing it in windows is a pain in the ass.
I feel someone needs to take pywallet & redo it into an .exe but remove the web service interface part of it & make it a command line only interface.
This way windows user will not have to install python & will not have to F with IIS web services witch is a pain in the ass & sux to use anyways.

I do want to thank everyone who has taken the time to help me with this.   Cool
your all good members of bitcointalk Smiley
